The mixed tag team bout featuring the spouses is the first official match for this year's HIAC ppv.
In the grand scheme of things, I don't really mind this all that much as it means pushing the next 1 on 1 bout with the Miz and Bryan a bit further on down the road. Also, since the show happens on September 16th, this clears up any lingering doubts as to Bryan's status as he has to have signed some sort of new deal since his current one expires September 1st.
I think that Bryan & Brie should go over, but only with the result being that Brie pins Maryse as. It'll still leave Miz with the 1-0 advantage over Bryan in their singles match and the victory would be bittersweet as Bryan didn't pin or tap out Miz. Giving Miz & Maryse the win is heading in the direction of stacking the deck a little too much against Bryan. Bryan can win a singles match on down the road and they can set up the rubber match for whenever.
