When John Morrison became #1 contender, I was hoping that the match would be on PPV, NOT FREE TV. And then they just throw it out on RAW tonight in a curtain jerker spot and now we're back to Miz/Orton for the Rumble. Who wants to see Orton in ANOTHER WWE Title Match?

Nice job WWE. You fail again.

i was just thinking that what the hell is there plan for jomo? i see him working his way into the main event at rumble. Miz orton jomo in a triple threat and i think miz retains OR loses to orton. ORTON will be the champ by mania i think thats for sure.

real question is what happens to barret? clearly out of nexus, will he turn face? doubtful. I really dont see whats going to happen with barret other the na possible transfer to smackdown. I dont think he could survive on his own though.


Lastly of course cena doesnt appear to be seriously injured just a minor injury. Breathe easy young ones!

Wow. That was a pretty good raw. First match was the best of the night but really interesting to see what happens to Barrett and Morrison now.

Morrison loses and then BAM #1 contender match the same night.. Randy Orton again...

First match was great but it was PPV worthy. Why it wasn't a PPV match I don't know. Oh I know, gotta get Morrison's shot off the table so when can see ORTON AGAIN.

I'm with everybody here. I'd take 20 years of Cena title matches before I'd want to see another Orton one again. I never liked the guy from day one. He plain sucks. At least Cena has personality. He's got energy and always makes something interesting compared to this stale ass "viper" gimmick. Ugh. I do believe a nice little swerve was in order. Have Barrett or Sheamus win, but get taken out of the title shot for whatever reason they could come up with. I mean, really. Hopefully something changes and, at the very least, Morrison gets the title shot again at the Rumble because the only reason I'd want to see the match would be if I knew for a fact Miz would retain. Orton makes me want to dig at my eyeballs with a dull butter knife every time he's on the tv any more.

In my opinion, that's just what they did exactly what they needed to do. Which is move pieces into place to set up what will happen over the next few months. Morrison had a great showing in the first match, where they also removed Riley from the equation giving Miz a "clean" win. That match did nothing but help both men involved.

They gave us a lot of questions going forward about the future of Nexus. No Wade will not turn face. That man CANNOT be a face at this point, he is too good as a heel. He can be the lesser of two evils, but not a face. Next week, when Cena returns, you will probably see Cena fighting off CM Punk and Nexus, as well as, Wade Barrett who will try and prove that he can dominate without the help of his stable. Wouldn't be surprised if the Rumble ended with those three men and Punk and Wade take each other out leaving Cena victorious.

Randy is an established star that will give Miz a huge hurdle going into Rumble. Miz needs to get another "clean" win so that he can really start to appear credible. Although there are some people who will never think he is credible no matter who he goes over.

Sheamus couldn't win. Triple H is coming.

Gosh, does anyone really want to see Orton vs. Miz again? That's my biggest beef with WWE right now. With these monthly pay-per-views, they just keep doing the same matches every month. On Raw, it's these two, and before that it was Barrett and Orton every month. And on Smackdown, they do Kane vs. Undertaker for 4 months straight, then Edge vs Kane for 4 more. Either change the feuds around a little, or spread the pay-per-views out some. No one wants to see the same matches every month.

Maybe Morrison wins the rumble and faces the champion at Wrestlemania? I don't see him doing anything else. They can't have him do nothing until wrestlemania.

Morrison needs to be in that title match at Rumble. what else is there for him to do? Nothing.

He just needs to .. Orton Vs Miz has already happened. Miz won. Why put Miz over Orton again because ITS OBVIOUS that Miz will beat him at the rumble. They showed that Miz can win cleanly by having him beat Morrison cleanly today.. (WHY THE HELL DID THEY DO THAT...)

It really is getting quite boring Randy Orton once more getting a title shot. Its just a boring match now. But I think what they done with Barrett and Nexus was good. Keeps everyone wondering whats gonna happen next.

Seems like WWE can't trust Morrison to main event a PPV. Maybe Miz and Morrison are not big enough names to draw in the money yet. Yes, the Rumble match will be the main draw at RR but for a secondary draw Orton - Miz is ten times better than Morrison - Miz for now.

Morrison has been stuck in his position for a year or two now. Remember him getting title matches on Smackdowns when Punk was champion? I really feel Morrison needs to lose the Starship Pain to be able to move up the card. That move is too risky to botch. Make it his signature move and give him a new finisher.

I think both Morrison and Miz both proved tonight they can main event a PPV together. I thought they really put on a good show and some high risk moves aswell. One of the best matches I have seen in a while.

Combine Miz's media attention as champion with Morrison's ability to put on great matches- Morrison SHOWED at TLC he could main event.

I started wondering why JoMo lost as well, but maybe he's one of the top picks to win the Rumble? I really hope so. That'd be kickass.

Alright, this kinda did piss me off, not so much because it happened, but how they did it.

So right now, I'm thinking how they could salvage this.

1. Even though it's been done before countless times, Miz vs Orton NEEDS to happen. Yes, Miz got a clean win over Morrison, but he's not in the ME scene yet, and if Miz can beat Orton cleanly, then it'll be a lot easier to take him seriously as a champion. It couldn't have been Sheamus because the setup for a Triple H feud is obvious, and Barret's too involved in the Nexus angle.

2. HAVE JOMO WIN THE RUMBLE. If I remember correctly, winning the rumble get's you a guaranteed title shot at Wrestlemania, which would be perfect for Morrison.

3. If reports are true, WWE is pushing for a Cena vs Miz match at Wrestlemania. Question : WHY? They already have an obvious setup with Cena vs Whoever's leader of the Nexus at the time, and it's only the BIGGEST storyline of the year, it's possible to have a Cena match at mania that's NOT a title match. Instead, have it be Morrison vs Miz, it's an already hot feud, and it doesn't have to the main event (though it should be number 2 or 3 in the card. Depends on whether Taker's good by then), and if tonight is any indication, the crowd is 100% behind Morrison at this point and time.

Morrison and Miz are both still unproven commodities when it comes to main-eventing PPV's without established names. As much as I dislike it, Miz needs another round with Orton to establish himself before feuding with anyone else. My question is, though, what's Orton gonna do after this? Because he's not taking the belt, and stretching the feud with the Miz anymore doesn't make sense. Though really, a lot of the guys have been having short-term feuds because of the huge tv-time Nexus has been getting.

All and all after tonight and I haven't seen the full raw because I work third shift so I saw bits and pieces but they really did what they had to.

Morrison vs Miz was way better than I expected but it wouldn't sell for a PPV their names are not big enough yet. But giving a few more chances to shine like that then they'll be stealing the show at a PPV.

The cage match I'm so double sided on damn I know orton had to win the match for the ppv to sell but now we got the same match different rules. I don't see orton winning this one either which means the same unclean win again.

I can see orton picking up the title at the EC that's the easiest match to switch titles and have no one lose face.

Come mania we'll have punk vs orton that is obvious. ALthough I'd love it if we got a fatal four way, but it'd be hard cause they would have just had a six person title match at The EC. But if we did get the fatal four way I'd make it punk orton miz morrison.

Kicking out of a finisher in a title match is not unheard of. But if they really are changing his finisher then it is one of the first steps to moving him up the card.

yeah i dont know whats going on but i hope they have better plans for JoMo, i have a bad feeling that they are just going to throw him in mania as another person competing for the money in the bank. which i hope he wins atleast.
on the other hand he could be being build up some more for the fans.

as for barret i dont think hes going to have any problems seeing as the only person he has feuded with so far is cena and orton, there are still other people he could have a program with and still be high card. i got a feeling his issue with punk is a back up plan just in case cena is not ready yet. it will be interesting to see how he is as a face though.

I swear this was the most baffling RAW I have ever watched. Now I'm totally confused because

1) What's the plan for JoMo? Personally what I think there should be a Triple Threat at RR (Orton, Miz, Morrison) but that most likely won't happen because Orton will most likely either have the title by WM or Miz will drop it to someone else. Maybe for JoMo US title? After all he did have a match ages ago involving Miz and Daniel Bryan at HIAC (correct me if I'm wrong) but Morrison going for the US title just seems to random. I would have Morrison win the Rumble because I don't see him doing anything else. I think that JoMo should be the next Triple Crown Champ considering WWE hasn't had one in forever.

2) What on earth is going to happen to Wade? I personally wanted him to win tonight but knew it wouldn't happen...heel vs heel no way. I don't think he will turn face because as someone else said he is too good as a heel. As for the future of Nexus? I have no idea. Probably Punk will be new leader of Nexus and Barrett might go solo who knows? Also Sheffield and Tarver are returning from injury so it will be interesting to see what happens.

I just hope the plan for Morrison is that he doesn't go back down to the midcard again. He CAN main event. The TLC match with Sheamus won me over with Morrison. I just hope they groom him well and that they build him up well for his big win. He doesn't have to be a world champion so soon. Because I rather they build him up to something big than just throw the title on him and he be done in no time.

Expect John Morrison to win the Royal Rumble. Obviously, WWE is going to be investing a lot of their resources into promoting the new Tough Enough season. With the premier being the day after Wrestlemania it is logical for them to use John Morrison as the biggest draw for the show. Therefore the next 3 months will be huge for JoMo. I would almost bet he walks out of Wrestlemania with a title to help with the success of Tough Enough.

It only makes sense for a repeat of what happened at tlc for Riley to get involved....then it could be a 3 way miz vs jomo vs orton so that the match has a credible main eventer...I'm getting a strange feeling orton could turn heel soon for some reason...cena is staying face forever...triple h is coming back...Barrett may be going to smackdown or dropping down which only leaves sheamus and Miz...with ortons promo tonight it could happen soon maybe after mania
