WWE DVD's You Would Like To See Created.

I would love to see a 3 disc special for Barry Windham. Anyone who saw his NWA/WCW stuff knows he is one of the most under-rated performers the industry has ever seen. ALso would like to see specials made for The Freebirds and The Midnight Express.

Fire and Brimstone: The Destructive Path of Kane. Same style as Triple H or CM Punk's DVD.

Last Ride: Legacy of The Undertaker. Release this once he's retired for good. Have it be a behind the scenes/sit down with The Undertaker and have him talk about everything from backstage stuff, matches, and his personal life. Also include his best matches.

Strength In Numbers: WWE's Greatest Factions. Showcase D-Generation X, Nation of Domination, The Corporation, Evolution, The Ministry of Darkness, Hart Foundation, The Shield.

Constructing Wrestlemania: Creating The Grandest Stage of Them All. A behind the scenes look at how the Wrestlemania stage/arena is designed and built. Also showcase The "Wrestlemania Week" events and how the Superstars prep.

I would like to see a DVD for Goldust. It could be a bio for his wrestling career, with interviews by him, his dad, his brother, and could even bring Terri Runnels back as well. It could be a 3 disc, by disc 1 is his biography, and discs 2 and 3 could be matches, and promos throughout his wrestling career.

I'm still waiting for them to release that Braden Walker DVD. :lmao:

Anyway, some DVDs I would like to see created:

1) History of the United States Championship
2) Smart, Sexy and Powerful: History of the WWE Divas
3) To Hell and Back: The Scott Hall Story
4) ECW: After the Fall
5) Wrestling's Greatest Exports: The Greatest International Stars of All Time
6) All That Glitters: The Dustin Runnels Story

Here's my list:
ECW PPV Anthology
Starrcade,Halloween Havoc, and GAB Anthology but only sold @ WWEShop
Rivalry set of Flair vs Steamboat & Flair vs Sting
Rivalry Set: Hogan vs Savage
Arn Anderson & Barry Windham Sets
WWE vs WCW Series: COC vs SNME Anthology
TAZ & Tommy Dreamer Sets

The one I really want to see is a history of the interaction between Undertaker and Kane. Start right back when Paul Bearer was getting into Taker's head about his brother being alive and go from there. All the promos about Taker not fighting his brother, and then the two going after the Title in 1998 which led to it becoming vacant.
Go through the Brothers of Destruction right up to the Wrestlemania rematch.

Another I'd really like to see is the story of the WWWF. Start with the Buddy Rogers match and the breakaway and go through right up until Vince Jr took over.

I'd love to see...

1. Get The Tables!!! Greatest table matches in history, also greatest segments and moments where people end up going through tables.

2. The Rabid Wolverine... Greatest Chris Benoit matches

3. RVD: Mr. Monday Night...Greatest RVD matches

4. The I QUIT Match Anthology

5. WCW Greatest Lucha Libre Matches

4. The I QUIT Match Anthology

These DVDs would be fantastic, especially "Get The Tables!!!". So many good ones, the clips of people going through would be great, my personal fav's were Trish and Mae, the latter I couldn't believe it happened...twice.

Another one I just thought of I would want to see would be a look at the writing, demos, studio sessions, and creations of the greatest theme songs in WWF/WWE history. From Shawn Michaels, Chris Jericho, Undertaker, Triple H, Kane, The Brood, DX, Stone Cold, Mark Henry, Chris Benoit, and many others. Cause I'm obsessed with music.

Kind of what they should have done with the new WWE Signature Sounds DVD, lol. I feel you on that though, since Johnston does do in house songs by himself, but it would be great to see what it was like when say Our Lady Peace laid down "Whatever", Story Of The Year re-doing "Close Your Eyes", or Lemmy doing all of HHH's stuff. How he interacted with these Big Stars would be great.

Really want to see a Best Of Virgil DVD.

They could highlight the time he won the Million Dollar Belt. The time he joined the NWO as Vincent. Maybe show a few matches from his time in WCW as Curly Bill.

Then a whole chapter dedicated to his special move 'the drop kick'.

I love the idea but I don't think it should be done before the Undertaker's final match at Wrestlemania. The reason is obvious. For such an elaborate DVD, they'd have to break kayfabe and have Glen Jacobs and Mark Callaway interviewed about their thoughts regarding Kane's character, the idea of the funeral home being set ablaze and so on, all of which without the false illusion of having happened, will at once make everybody who'd never known the difference between kayfabe and reality about Kane and Undertaker would be given the truth. There's more fun in keeping Kane and The Undertaker characters alive than having them appear like just every realistic wrestling characters/wrestlers like Ric Flair or HHH giving their opinions and thoughts about various feuds and scenarios from the past, especially when it comes to two wrestlers especially valued for the mystique behind their gimmicks as much as their in-ring abilities.

I'd love to see...

1. Get The Tables!!! Greatest table matches in history, also greatest segments and moments where people end up going through tables.

The WWE owns the ECW and WWE tape library of course, and without all the brilliant minds involved for the interviews and the footage, there can really not be any Dudleyz/Tables DVD and in the WWE, the history of the tables match is essentially the history of the Dudleyz, at least until the advent of the TLC ppv in 2009 and IMO the TLC ppv doesn't have enough significant tables matches on the basis of which to create a DVD. To conclude, unless Bully Ray/Devon sign a contract with the WWE or have some sort of an agreement, this DVD will never be released, unless if there's already not any best of Tables match DVD produced by the WWE.

2. The Rabid Wolverine... Greatest Chris Benoit matches
As much I love Benoit as a wrestler, the tragedy surrounding or rather penetrating the Chris Benoit legacy is far too grotesque and unimaginable for the WWE to ever make the effort involved in creating a DVD glorifying the man's career. It's arguable whether this should happen or not but when a man's a murderer for the wrong reasons/causes, he's not getting any glory no matter his contributions to a field.

3. RVD: Mr. Monday Night...Greatest RVD matches
I was a big Rob Van Dam fan in the early 2000s ever since discovering him and was extremely sad to see him being relegated to the ECW brand and then vanish after losing to Randy Orton in 2007. IMO, he would've had a similar level of accomplishment as far as being in the WHC picture is concerned, to Edge, Jeff Hardy, or Chris Jericho..if only the WWE utilized him properly. Unfortunately , Rob Van Dam is never becoming a bigger star than whatever he has done in the past.

As far as the DVD goes, if it's just an anthology and not a documentary, I'm fine with it because they already have a One of a Kind DVD with a nice documentary about his initial days as a wrestler, ECW, WWF in 1997 and the Invasion storyline. Rob Van Dam simply hasn't done a lot since 2002 for a panel of wrestling minds to appear and discuss his later career, excluding the factors resulting in the redemption of WWE ECW, his short championship run, the marijuana or whatever drugs bust with Sabu. I'm not even so sure Vince Mcmahon feels anything but sournesss for a failed endeavour like the ECW brand. Hence, they'd never create another Documentary. They would've done it, if only Van dam had had a Shawn Michaels-like comeback at least, but IMO, Van Dam really hasn't done much, nor can, as far as his remaining Pro-wrestling career is concerned. He did not win MITB, did not win the WHC from Alberto Del Rio and basically did not even elevate a superstar like CM Punk like how Chris Jericho did. And to make matters worse , he stayed what, 3 months?

4. The I QUIT Match Anthology

5. WCW Greatest Lucha Libre Matches

These two will be amazing, especially the latter. I can watch a 30-hour anthology with those amazing wrestlers from WCW, especially eddie guerrero, chris jericho, dean malenko, the mexican wrestlers like Juventud Guerrero, La Parka, and the japanese. I'm not a big fan of I quit matches because :-
1)They occur rarely. 2)They always result in an awkward situation because not getting up to a 10-count in a Last man standing match is okay, but to utter the words "I quit" because john cena has a rope tied around your neck in the STFU is absurd and unacceptable in my opinion. For all its worth, Randy Orton might as well have his accomplices abduct Cena's father and ask Cena to say I QUIT.. OR ELSE, or have a gun around Cena's Temples.

I am a huge anthology guy
Some say they aren't popular but the numbers would disagree with them
some have said it cost alot but if you release in volumes you will make more money in the end

How about anthology of events in Philly and Chi-Town

Here are a few I would like to see:

1: Brothers of Destruction...Pretty much have them start off with what brought Kane to the WWE, his rivalry with Taker, all the stuff they did together, either as feuding or as a tag team
2: Owen Hart: The Black Hart...Would love to see a documentary of his, similar to HBK's Heartbreak and Triumph set
3: Perfection: The Curt Hening Story...same with him as the one with Owen.
4. History of the US Title...do it the way they did the one for the IC title
5. Greatest Rivalries...I would love to see them do something on the greatest rivalries inside the industry, like Stone Cold vs Rock, Bret vs Shawn, etc (maybe an anthology or something would fit here, since we would be going back to the days of Bruno, Jessie Ventura)

To the poster above, they did a 25 Greatest Rivalries set either last year or the year before, with Hogan and Andre on the cover I believe. And when I mentioned a Benoit DVD earlier, yeah I shoulda pointed out that will never happen for obvious reasons.

I would like to see Rivalry DVDs that feature absolutely EVERYTHING. Every segment, backstage promo, and every match leading up to their big encounters. Here's an example:

Chris Jericho vs. Shawn Michales
--Start with Ric Flair vs. Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania 24. Show us Shawn's promo about how he compared Ric to Old Yeller. Include Batista's promos with Shawn leading up to their match at Backlash. Tie in Chris Jericho's appearance as Special Referee during the match.
--Include every segment on Raw that followed. The Highlight Reel where Y2J accused Shawn of faking the injury. Include the tag match where Shawn sold the injury the whole match. Include the confession where Shawn superkicked Y2J. Add the match at the end.
--Add in Shawn and Batista's stretcher match. Then put in Y2J attacking him with the chair and then regretting it. Then include Y2J's full-fledged heel turn where he put Shawn through the highlight reel. Edit in Shawn putting Marty through the barber shop window so we can see the poetic side of it.
--Include every match resulting from the feud and everything leading up to it. The punch at SummerSlam, Y2J winning the World title, the announcement where Shawn said he wanted an Unsanctioned match, the one where he booked the ladder match, etc.

I want EVERYTHING. WWE's video team can definitely edit everything together into a coherent engaging narrative. It would be brilliant. The documentary where they talk about the feud can be included as an alternate commentary on top of the footage instead of being on the main footage. It would be great to watch the 3+ hours of feuding unfold first and then watch it again with the commentary.

I'd want this with a couple of feuds including
1. Chris Jericho and Shawn Michaels
2. John Cena and Edge
3. The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels
4. Triple H and Shawn Michaels (this will be a really long video)
5. Stone Cold and Vince McMahon
6. Jeff Hardy and CM Punk
7. Rey Mysterio and CM Punk
8. Stone Cold and Bret Hart
9. Bret Hart and Owen Hart
10. Shawn Michaels and Razor Ramon
11. The Undertaker and Kane (encompassing ALL of their feuds)
12. Christian and Randy Orton
13. Matt Hardy and Edge
14. Rey Mysterio and (RIP) Eddie Guerrero
15. CM Punk and John Cena
16. Randy Orton and John Cena
17. Randy Orton and Triple H
18. Batista and Triple H
19. Ric Flair and Randy Orton
20. Trish Stratus and Mickie James

And many many more. This could be a really compelling DVD series if they do it like this. I'm pretty sure they could splice the footage together in a really amazing way considering all the awesome video packages they do.

2. The Rabid Wolverine... Greatest Chris Benoit matches

There is already a Chris Benoit documentary/anthology with all his greatest matches. Hard Knocks is out there, you can get it whenever you want. Aside from that, you won't ever get to see a Benoit DVD again, for obvious reasons.

The Hennig one is already out there... they did a great period where they put these out before making it about matches mainly... Perfect, Jake, Pillman all got one... I'd want to see Davey/The Bulldogs and Rick Rude get one for sure, possibly Big Bossman as well.

In terms of new content I think a more indepth proper sit down interview with talent or even Vince himself, done in the shoot style would be a massive seller if they are actually allowed to dish some dirt... just imagine what his book would also sell. Cole seems to be finding a groove at interviewing people, perhaps they could start with JR. Why let RF and the like make all the money... bring them in house, set some guidelines but otherwise let em rip.

Another idea would be a DVD based around the old "fantasy fight" gimmick, similar to that last Rocky Movie - perhaps the best tag teams of all time facing off or who really is the best World Champion ever, experts weigh in opinions and you can watch a simulated match or highlights... of course it's subjective but so are the real matches.

They really could open up some of the younger wrestlers to reality type situations, NXT is rumored to be doing this but the best doc done in recent years was Punks... something along those lines for Sheamus or the Shield would be very interesting, seeing where they all came from etc.

In a similar vein, I was always fascinated by Vampiro but I've only seen 2 short clips of him from his feud with Sting. If he had a 3-4 yr career in the WCW, I won't mind taking a look at his DVD, but I don't think most WWE fans or even ECW fans would know of him, like how everybody ought to know Raven. It seems highly absurd and unlikely to think there would be a panel of intelligent wrestling minds discussing the Vampiro-Sting feud. Not in a Vampiro DVD. Not even a Sting DVD!

Being a Vampiro fan, I recommend watching the documentary Vampiro: Angel, Devil, Hero. Well worth the look inside the man

I really enjoyed the Rivalry DVD they did with Hart and Shawn Michaels. I wish the would do more of those. The first pair i thought of for that would be
- Stone Cold Steve Austin vs The Rock
- Vince McMahon vs Eric Bischoff
I would love to see a documentary called The Outsiders: The history of Scott Hall and Kevin Nash. It wouldn't be a joint documentary, but the DVD would have the documentary of both Kevin Nash, and Scott Hall. It could be a three disc set. A disc for Nash, a disc for Hall, and a disc for all their best matches.

One I'd love to see would be something like "Outside the Ring: The Schedule of a Wrestler from an Indie to an Icon."

Basically run through an entire span of time (month or so) of what it's like in each stage of wrestling schedule/travel wise. I know they include some stories and some minor bits in various DVDs but never a whole DVD of what it's like. I'd be interested to see the daily schedule differences between someone like say, Kidd vs. someone like Kofi vs. someone like Bryan, etc.

Personally, I think that would be fascinating to watch. Especially the way you broke down how the different tier wrestlers would be shown.

Kevin Steen has a variety of shows on youtube and one of them he shows you how he travels, when he gets up, talks about the venues, people, and even takes the camera with him in the stands and watches other matches, even has coversations with other wrestlers while doing it. Doing a day in the life of say, Tyson Kidd, Zack Ryder, Dolph Ziggler, Sheamus, and then say Randy Orton, low tier to top, would be great and probably garner them a lot more respect. I would love that.

Also, sick user title, had to say it. :)

A CM Punk VS John Cena rivalry DVD, three disc set.

If Punk comes back, they can do a documentary portion with separate interviews, and I'm interested in Punk's POV, because you know he's not afraid to speak his mind (Punk's direct shot at Miz on his own three disc set). There's more than enough matches to fill one disc. The 2011 MITB match, the 2011 Summerslam match, Night Of Champions 2012, the match from Raw last year, where Punk goaded Cena into putting his Rumble win on the line, and you can throw in the match form Raw 1,000 with Punk's heel turn. Quality wise, the Raw 1,000 match is not on the same level as their other more high profiled matches, but you can add it for the moment.

Also, from what I remember, Punk and Cena had a pretty good match on Raw during that weird lull period, where Punk was injured, made the transition to commentary for a while, and Punk was taking control of the Nexus. And there's more than enough dueling promo content to cover some extras, especially the stuff going into MITB 2011 and Night Of Champions 2012.

The Punk VS Cena rivalry deserves a three disc, because Punk is the perfect foil for Cena, Punk is at the top of list of Cena's greatest rivals (miles and miles ahead of Randy Orton), and both men delivered a handful of five star classics together.

While I'm a huge CM Punk fan, and have found John Cena's matches with Punk "good" considering how I've passionately disliked John Cena as a wrestler, especially a main-event wrestler, I don't think the Punk-Cena rivalry is as "Epic" and "Storied" as the John Cena-Randy Orton rivalry, and that's not to take anything away from Punk. I do believe it could've surpassed the Orton-Cena rivalry, if and only if they had both had at least one of the big speciality matches and delivered, whether it be a HIAC, or a 60-minute ironman match. I do think it was odd and strange to throw Alberto Del Rio in the mix with John Cena and CM Punk in 2011 when they had a triple threat HIAC.

As for the DVD, it would be very similar in vein to the DVD WWE:Greatest Rivalries- Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart.
