So, I'm watching an episode of Nitro from 2-22-99, the night after SuperBrawl IX. Somehow, they manage to spend the first 5 minutes BSing about the night before, then going to 2 different segments involving the Nitro Girls...one involving morons from a Nitro Party and plugs for Cinnaburst Gum. Then, after a commercial break, they cut to some kind of convention that involved more Cinnaburst plugs, then they cut to highlights of Goldberg/Bigelow. THEN. After approximately 10 minutes of actual air-time not including the commercials...they go to the ring...where we are greeted by Jerry Flynn v. Mike Enos.

At least after that match we got to see a backstage segment with David Flair and Torrie Wilson. Followed by more plugs...this time by 1-800-Collect...then a quick promo by Booker T somewhere in there. What's next? Van Hammer comes out...for a 12 minute classic with Bam Bam.

Yeah, still 3 hours at this point. Their strategy was to get viewers tuning into Nitro to fall asleep so they couldn't turn it to USA at 9. Thus, they'd win the ratings.
