WWE Council of War

That DVD looks quite appealing. Despite owning several ROH DVDs, there aren't enough CM Punk matches in my collection. I've been meaning to pick up SummerSlam 2009 for the longest time. The Undertaker can still go fuck himself. The classic steel cage is certainly better than its bastard brothers, the cell and the elimination chamber.

Anyone pick up the Cage Match DVD WWE's putting out? It's got some interesting matches on it:

Awesome, awesome looking set. Worth getting just for the Sammartino/Zbysko match at Shea stadium alone. Is that the first time that match has ever been released on a WWE DVD? I think it is. Awesome.

I really, really wish they'd have put the AWESOME Sammartino/Tito Santana vs. Randy Savage/Adrian Adonis cage match from MSG in the summer of '86 though on there though. That was like, his last big match for the company and it ruled.

Watching that segment were the NWO took the piss out of the horsemen/

Actually fucking hilarious, and even moreso when thinking of how much it pissed off Flair and the rest of those fools

did the Cutter, threw the shirt in the faces of the NWO, heads out thru the crowd, and the rest is history.

The crowd fucking BLOWS UP for the entrance, the cutter, fuck, practically everything he does.

I fucking hate that promo. It's funny, yes, but the whole thing was pretty much a shoot by them intended solely to talk shit about and embarrass a guy who dedicated his entire life to that company. One of the most disgusting things Nash ever did in his life.

DDP. Such a fucking beast, man. Fun watching his rise, X, given what you have been watching lately, I know you are with me

Fuck yes. But of course they waited about 2 years too long to put the title on him so when they finally did, no one really cared anymore.

A fantastic drinking game for this would be "everytime someone botches the hell out of the set up for the scorpion death drop, take a shot"

Shitty, is what you would get

So did anyone else hate Sting's WCW music? Not a "Man Called Sting", but his Crow music. It was so...anti-climactic and low key. The fans never knew to pop for his entrance because his music wasn't recognizable at all until like a minute in. So weird.

Orrrr maybe the fact that it uh....Stops? lol. After like 2 minutes its just a baseline. Literally. What the fuck, WCW

Gah, so dumb. So fucking dumb.

They'll never release everything on DVD. I don't think there's a market for someone wanting to buy seasons of Monday Night Raw. I'm as much of a nut for the old shit as the next guy, but even I would have next to zero want for such a thing.

Give me a damn WWE channel and I'll be happy, minus the movies.

I have a confession to make. I missed most of WWE between 2002 and 2004, owing to how I no longer had the channel that carried the shows. So when people talk about how awesome Benoit or Undertaker or Guerrero were during that time... it just hurts a little bit, you know?

Edit: I did see that Royal Rumble though.

Edit2: And if you guys could recommend, like, some pay-per-views for those years, I'd be forever in your debt. Need someone dead? I'll fetch the piano wire.

Summerslam 2002 is about the only one you need to watch.

2003 was dreadful, especially Monday Night Raw. Stick to Smackdown and the Smackdown pay per views.

I'm ashamed to say that Bad Blood 2003's one of the pay-per-views that my brother videotaped and brought back from Leeds for me. I had no idea what the fuck Kevin Nash was doing in the main event.

Also, I enjoyed the cell with Nash. I won't even say it's a guilty pleasure. I'll shout my love for it from the rooftops so long as nobody recognizes me.
