WWE Council of War

I mean he could have been babyface number one instead of Sting or Goldberg, easily.

Good worker. Booked like shit up until about 2000, and then he just got booked into shit again anyways. Check out his matches with Benoit in their Best of 7 series during the summer of 1998, or Booker T's match with Bret Hart in I think maybe March of 1999? Not sure, but they had a great match together too.

Holy shit that Best of 7 series with Benoit was awesome back then. Of course back then Booker was my third favorite wrestler behind Rey Mysterio Jr. and Sting. This of course being when I was in middle school. And Mysterio didn't looked like a steroid jacked midget, and Booker still had the fade hair cut along with the nose strips.

Ah the good old days when it was all real.

Only furthermore supports an idea I have had for quite some time.

They should release sort of "seasons of" compilations. What i mean is, a years worth of programming, Weekly tv shows, PPVs etc etc. Like say, in 2 month blocks

So for WCW it would be like 3 Nitros, 3 WCW Saturday night, PPV, etc etc etc. Kust all the programming for given months. Start back in the SNME 3 ppv a year days, all the way til like last year.

make it stupid expensive if you want. The people who would be interested would be the types who are more than willing to pay it.

Meh, you just package it like TV shows with series. Boxed set, 4 - 6 dvds. Do it by year and volume, IE "1995 Vol.1" would be say, Jan and Feb. Or just do it by month, ie "January 1995" all the weekly shows, and the corresponding blowoff PPV

They could sell this, for say, 50$ per set. Between ECW, WCW, and WWE programming, they could make fucking insane money from this.

Aren't they already doing this right now with RAW? Doing little "Best of Season ___" sets?

I've never seen why they don't put out volumes of Raw. Obviously you can't put out a whole year as one set but the one month or even two months is a solid idea.

Problem with that is, WWE has re-written it's own history so many times, plus they've got guys they don't want to show like Benoit, that I'm not really sure it's ever possible.

Meh, edit out the Benoit segments, simple enough.

and fuck just WWE. The niche fans who loved WCW and ECW would devour these, as there is no way to watch them anymore.

and the people who they re write history for arent the types who are gonna go out and spend 50$ a pop per month of programming

The footage is just sitting in their warehouses. Why not throw it out there? Heck put it on a website or something and charge like $10 a month.

There's only so many times you can edit out Benoit though Norcal. Like, what the fuck do they do when they get to Nitro in late '99/early 2000 when he won the world title, or ALL of Raw in the year 2004? Editing him out of those years would be pointless, you'd be editing out half the shows and all the world title matches.

this right here is the operative. Its doing nothing, and making you no money, so make it do something, and make you some money.

It would cost them a fraction of the asking price to package it and put it out. Once again, the group of people who are going to buy this could give two fucks about the packaging.

Everyone in this thread would buy this up in a second. I damn sure would. Even ECW. Just have to mute Joey Styles.

Then you dont release those sections of those years. Obviously.

Easy workaround for something that could make so much money.

Incomplete is better than nothing.

Those best of compilations for Raw were cancelled when nobody bought the first two, I believe. It was because we were all waiting for the third volume - the one with all the good shit on. Oh well.

thats why you put the entire month of programming plus PPV on there.

HOW fucking fast would the majority of you run out to buy WM 4, thru WM 5, with all the SNME, SummerSlam, and Survivor Series inbetween?

HELL fucking yes, man.

So did anyone else hate Sting's WCW music? Not a "Man Called Sting", but his Crow music. It was so...anti-climactic and low key. The fans never knew to pop for his entrance because his music wasn't recognizable at all until like a minute in. So weird.

I'd be all over that shit if I didn't already own all of that footage.

That's why stuff like The Corre's music sucks absolute balls. So low impact.

It's also why Steve Austin has the best theme music of all-time. The glass breaking alone pushes it over the top.

I was thinking of buying up a lot of the Tagged Classics, come to think of it. Nostalgia is a hell of a thing. Do you boys in the States get those?

Silvervision's website is actually quite exquisite. It's the antithesis to the steaming shit that is WWE Euroshop. Nobody has a screen that ratio anymore, numbnuts, it's 20-fucking-11.
