WWE Council of War

It's unreal how big a star Sable was. This is the like the 3rd out of 5 weeks she's been the final thing on Raw.

Oh and I LOVE that Philly Street Fight from Slamboree Norcal, I think I liked it even more than the Payne/Cactus vs. Nasties match from the month before. That match was freaking brutal and had an AWESOME finish IIRC.

Dude, shit fucking yea. I think I might go so far as to say I like it better too. Could be partly becuase I have seen the Nasties - Pain/Cactus one a million times. One of my favorite matches.

The Nasty Boys are in four of my favorite matches ever. What the fuck, man.

and yes, a wild, messy, brutal, obscenely entertaining match

ohhh myyyyyy FUCKING GOODNESS DDP was over in the summer of 98, holy shit this crowd just fucking ERUPTED

I went to Nitro in the summer of 98. I wonder if you're watching the show I went to. The main event was Chris Benoit vs Bret Hart, so that's something to look forward to if it is the same show. Actually, the main event was Curt Henning vs Kevin Greene, the football player, but I remember the Hart/Benoit match more.

Sure it wasnt The Giant Vs Kevin Greene?

Becuase thats the one im watching, and it is in Jacksonville Florida, in June of 98. lulz

Absolutely zero discussion about the match taking place in the ring.

I remember it used to fucking drive me nuts, and im wathcing right now.

A match has been going on for about 2 minutes, and they have literally not said one single thing about what is going on in it

Yep, that's the one I went to. My mistake about the main event, but the 2nd grade version of me was there by the WCW logo in the entrance-way. It was the best night ever up to that point in my life. I taped that show and watched it over and over and over and over ...

My friend had front row seats and Bret Hart spit on him at one point. It's pretty disgusting, but kind of cool in an odd way.

Me and my friends were soooooooooooooooooooooo fuckin down with NWO Wolfpac back in the day haha bringing back memories

damn. WCW was hot shit at this point

I remember buying Slamboree 1994 at Sam Goodie when I was a kid. I watched that event so many fucking times. Awesome show.

Also, once I became a fan of ECW later, I would get a kick out of seeing the ECW fans in the crowd for that event (if I remember right Funk even takes Hat Guy's hat during his match that night at Slamboree). It's amazing how those fans were always able to get front seats at any wrestling show in Philly. It's like they're the Jack Nicholson's of wrestling fans.

"At every show in the 90s black guy" is damn sure there too :lmao:

LOL

You're talking about the goofball with the big ass glasses, right? I think I have a funny gif of him somewhere....

... yep, here it is:

Man, I wonder what these people do for a living.

DDP was over like rover from 1997-1999, which is why I always talk about how he could have been like, a HUGE star if they had booked him correctly. He could have been done the "Sting" role better than Sting did.

And yeah I was just watching some WCW from around that time when Giant would smoke a cigarette on the way to the ring, so funny.

Good worker. Booked like shit up until about 2000, and then he just got booked into shit again anyways. Check out his matches with Benoit in their Best of 7 series during the summer of 1998, or Booker T's match with Bret Hart in I think maybe March of 1999? Not sure, but they had a great match together too.

He was good in the WWE for awhile too. Then somewhere around 2004-2005 he started to get lazy as fuck and by the time he became "King Booker" he had gone to shit in the ring and just became annoying to watch. Shame that's when he finally got the strap too.

Errrr how do you mean that?

I think he couldve been booked stronger, and made a ginormous star, but I lived the peoples champ character he was, perfect for him
