To be fair, he does have a point. "Whelp LON about to get buried" was my first thought too. And the titles weren't even on the line. That was even more peculiar. The ending was nothing but fan service.

Was anybody else impressed with the shape HBK looked in? He looked in ring-ready shape. Foley even looked relatively in shape to how he normally does.. But Austin? He really let himself go here lately. New Day's entrance does more for them in terms of being memorable than that match would have, so no problems with them taking the loss.

LON had to win in order for Austin, Foley and HBK to come out and open up a can of whoop ass on them. Stunners all round.

Well, there's three matches in a row I thought were varying degrees of great to good and ending in weird ways.

I'm all for this moment of nostalgia, but did it really have to come at the expense of seven main roster guys? This is exactly why the WWE can't build stars and Austin is a huge hypocrite if he's going to criticize the WWE and then participate in this.

They had a chance to get over the New Day huge by having them drink with these guys in the ring, but they punked them out instead. It's, frankly, bullshit.

To be fair, the LON sucks anyway and only Xavier, the whipping boy of New Day, got beat up and only because it was Austin being Austin. Personally, I can live with that.

I'm just upset/confused that New Day lost at all. You could literally do the same thing with New Day winning.
