Oh, see i thought whoever won eliminated the other guy, giving the team a 4 on 3 advantage. To be honest, since new people come in every 2 minutes and it evens up anyway, being the first to get a helper doesn't seem to be that big a deal. I stand by the fact that the opening match basically served no purpose in that the stipulation doesn't mean much.
