Wow, no one made a LockDown LD yet?

Sure it does, man. Hardy is too much of a risk to put the future of the company on (right now), and RVD hasn't earned a fucking thing yet. Pope is cutting his teeth.

RVD doesn't need to earn anything. He's RVD. There are his credentials. You want to argue Abyss or Dinero being a bigger draw or more marketable guy than Van Dam? Why bring him in to throw him in the middle of an Abyss feud?

Yeah Pope is the better choice.....I think, even though the time between the tournament win and this has been mishandled pretty badly.

Perfectly logical. This has been one of the poorest buildups to a major PPV I've ever seen. The PPV has been epic though so I can live with that.

Agree, but the problem a company can face is that even if the PPV is awesome, if the build is terrible, who will buy it? Impact needs to get better so if they continue to have great matches on PPV, people will actually care and want to watch it.

No, not at all, but I could say the same thing about anyone else who comes into the company who made their name elsewhere, regardless of how well they can still go or not.

Like I just said before, you can't bitch about a guy like Moore coming in and getting his spot in title contention over "more deserving" guys beneath him and then advocate the opposite for RVD over Pope.

Yes but how many people bought this show? Yes it's been great, but with Impact's ratings being what they are, it's not like a lot of people are seeing the build or the ads for it.

When I say RVD and HArdy main event, I mean Abyss or Pope shouldn't be in their spots. One should be fighting AJ and one should be captaining the Lockdown team. And yes, Pope has had this spot for months but since when have #1 contender matches meant jack in TNA? Hardly anyone but Hogan likes AByss but we get him as the top face anyway for no apparent reason other than Hogan. You have Hardy and RVD to build the company around and they pick Dinero or Abyss? That doesn't make much sense at all.

Well, to be fair, this main event was established before Hardy or RVd signed. I imagine that going forward those two will be the focus of the show.

Pope is getting the Hardy title shot though. He just got himself so fucking over than no one had a choice than to give him a chance in the main event.

If Pope wins this, they'll need a clean up crew to come in for how much I'll be marking out.

This x1,000,000.

Sorry KB, but I do advocate Pope over RVD here. RVD has the personality of a fucking dial tone. While he's a fantastic wrestler, this feud was a much more old-school approach in that it was predominantly built off mic work. I don't think RVD could have done as good of a job as Pope has at all.

Yeah I can, because it's difference. Moore's resume is....what? RVD and Hardy are former world champions. His resume has WWE Champion on it, and since they're using WWE HOF rings for an angle, apparently they have no issue with using other companies credentials. Everyone knows RVD and the pop was great for his debut. He has the credentials already.

Hardy isn't that much of a risk. If he is the TNA World champ and then gets in trouble, the worst case scenario is they rush us another ****1/2 AJ/Angle title match and all is forgotten by Monday.

See my above post.

And the pop he got when he debuted was one of the loudest ever in TNA. Listen to the fans. They'll never steer you wrong.

Not with the possibility of him going to prison, man. No way. Talk about major egg on your face if your champion ends up serving time during his push.

Of course, because he's RVD, but you also have to realize that RVD came in well after Pope won his title shot. You want TNA to Kazarian Pope for RVD, just because he's RVD? They have plenty of time to work him into the title picture. No reason to fuck over a younger and arguably more deserving worker just because you got a guy to put pen to paper.

If they did, what does that say about their ability to book? You'd be complaining about how they just forgot about Pope entirely, no?

If this had been at Des X, I would have had next to no problem with it. The roll Pope was on has been half crippled.

That was my point. I'm glad we're on the same page. Although I think you took what I said differently, but given the commotion of the night, it's all good. We obviously see things through the same light.

In related news Dirk is 11/13 from the field and has 32 or 33 in the third quarter.

I'm on the Mavs bandwagon this year. The Nuggets have imploded and Celtics are due to crumble quickly. And I hate the Lakers and I'd feel like a bandwagon jumper rooting for the Cavs.

Yes. Tell me, what's gong to draw more money: AJ Styles vs. Elijah Burke or AJ Styles vs. Rob Van Dam?

Put Pope in the Lockdown match and put him in a title match later. Or, don't wait two months after he's the hottest he's ever been to give him a title match so you can give Abyss a title shot that A, no one believed he would win and B, that no one cared about.

Hardy got suspended during his push in WWE in 2008 and when he came back he served two months in time out and was right back in the main event.

I would argue that if the WWE champ was imprisoned it would be a big deal because it would make news and ESPN shows. I doubt it would make national news if the TNA champ got caught. I could be wrong, but I think that outside of the wrestling world, it wouldn't have giant repercussions.

You should have been on it all along. I've been on it for a long time now. Dirk is legit and Caron and Haywood were great additions to play solid defense.
