Wouldn't it be cool to see Nexus reunite against The Shield?

After weeks of feuding with the Authority, imagine Shield getting the upper hand at the end of Raw, just for the original Nexus (Axel instead of Tarver of course) to surround the ring and just beat 'em up.

I think that could be a really solid feud.

1) Crowds will mark out for the reunion.
2) It will give all those midcarders something to do.
3) It will be an instantly recognizable threat that will feel legitimate against the Shield
4) Nexus merchandise used to sell really well, so I can see this making WWE lots of $$ again.
5) It puts Shield on the other end of the "numbers game". It's hard to keep them as faces and gain sympathy when they outnumber every other team on the show except for the Wyatts and 3MB. You can't have them feud with the Wyatts forever, so reuniting a new stable would do wonders for them.

What do you think? Is it a good or bad idea? (I put it in the spam folder in case I'm completely delusional, and the consensus is that it's bad.)

Not delusional unless you think DB or Wyatt should be included. I don't see this as a means to push anyone but some carnage to satiate the masses would work for a little while. Seeing Barrett get some attention would excite some of the crowd. No one would miss 3mb that much to include Slater. Throwing Darren Young in would be harmless. Axle and Ryback are available.

Now isn't the time but after The Authority/Shield stuff dies down this could be some fun filler.

I'd have no problem with it, apart from the obvious trouble of refitting the gimmicks of Barrett and Ryback into the fold. Why the hell not though. Its a step up for everyone to battle with the other stables (Sheild, Wyatts, Authority).

Splitting up 3MB is for the best. Drew McIntyre needs to move on. Just have Heath walk out on 3MB after a bunch of losses, and then Drew gets insecure and blames Jinder. Jinder can go on to form a comedy face tag team with Khali while Drew becomes a midcard heel, and Heath is a Nexus goon.

Refitting them would be my favorite part. At first they were rookies complaining about their treatment on NXT. Now, they'd be veterans complaining about not getting a fair shot on the main show. It would definitely raise Barrett, especially if they let him win the World title, and then drop it to Roman.

And ~a year later, you can have the Nexus get sick of the Authority using them as lackeys, and they turn face just like Shield did. There is plenty of potential for Nexus to be a mainstay act on Raw.

The only problem here is the fact that Nexus would have Barrett, Ryback, Axel, Otunga and Gabriel... Five members, against three members of The Shield. So it's not gonna happen. If by any chance Ryback and Axel indeed formed a stable with Barrett, then, okay I guess - but I want to see Barrett on his own now. The guy has all the tools to be a big singles star. Great look, great promos and above average in the ring.

Also I hope Gabriel gets fired. He isn't doing anything, he isn't going to be bigger than he is so I want to see him in a PWG show. Trent Barretta blew my mind in his indy run, so Gabriel would for sure do it.

Nexus needs to be lots of people. That's their deal. The Shield is 3 guys, doesn't work. In anything, what's wrong with the Wyatt's? You can't re-unite the people that have been part of The Nexus now, they're just too different. Just like a charity shop vestment, too many holes I'm afraid.
