If most of the top rappers were gay and I pointed it out, it has nothing to do with being homophobic. What is the connection that most of the famous(the names I mentioned are like the top 8 out of top 10 singers to come out of uk) singers from Uk r gay is my point.

Probably because they were the only shows that would pick them up. Most UK shows broadcast in the US (to my knowledge) generally have a niche audience (kinda like the gay culture a bit). Heck that's why America tries to remake a ton of Bristish shows for American audiences.

Aside from side stepping that America has a lot of gay performers as well (as I pointed out Liberace) The arts is somethng that allows freedom of expression, something some gays like to do. Heck why do you think Lady Gaga is a gay cultural icon, she expresses herself freely.
3. Black actors/black guys and white women
Just because your high school crush ended up dating a black guy doesn't mean you have to say its wrong. She clearly liked him better than you for whatever reason. If you like someone you generally like them for a reason other than their skin colour (personality, money etc)

Case in point Will Smith's character in Independence Day was written for anyone to play him, Will Smith got the part because he was the best (and awesome)

Furthermore, the UK does have a more tolerant and permissive view of same-sex relations than the US, and has done for a while; Britain has a thriving gay subculture and most of the population don't mind it or just turn a blind eye to it.

2. He was bisexual and in a committed relationship with Mary Austin throughout the 70s and even considered her his wife. Also considered Jim Hutton to be his husband. He loved them both and left his house to Mary. Stories have it he didn't enter the gay scene until the early 80s in NYC clubs.

1. They were naked in bed, the story is Bowie was consoling Jagger over a failed relationship. Yes, it sounds very gay, but there's no evidence they had an actual relationship.

I was saying Pink Floyd created one of the most successful albums of all time. Mainstream knows them as a group not individuals. Not once did I say or imply they were more successful then The Beatles.

I think the more important distinction is the fact that in Britain we honestly don't give a fuck if someone is gay or straight. In america I can name at least three bands that have used their sexuality as a selling point, why? because America does care and there are fuckwits worldwide who judge people for their sexuality, the difference between Britain and the USA is that in Britain it's a subculture, in the USA it doesn't seem to be. (I say seem to be because that is based on perception of America in the press rather than personal experience)
