I they're under the age of 14, I don't see the problem with it. Allot some adults will express a liking for animation for nostalgia; because shows like pokemon, and batman beyond, dragonball z, and teenage mutant ninja turtles remind them of their childhoods.

It the reason why some people still play the super nintendo, and atari desptie them being ancient technology.

Actually the truth is I just find the stories and how they are portrayed (especially the action sequences) to just be far too fucking ridiculous to get into

Honestly, I'd give reccomendations to Dragon-Ball, Bleach, death Note and I'd seriously consider watching some of Hayao Miyazaki's films. For the most part they are excellent.
