Why does TNA use the NWA title instead of a TNA title

No diss to TNA but all i ever hear when watching TNA is about how the NWA title is the most prestigious title in wrestling today, like they're trying to build the company off the name of the old NWA. Raw has the WWE title (or that retarted piece of john cena made crap called the WWE title), ECW has the ECW title, smackdown has the old WCW title but they don't call it that cause WCW's gone just like NWA. just seems like they should have a TNA title instead, i mean they don't have NWA tag titles they're TNA tag titles right.

How did they get the NWA title anyways? are the NWA tag titles still out there i think i remember hearing something about them.

cause TNA used to be a part of NWA and when they spilt they bought the title for 10 years. I think it's a good idea by TNA cause they have more prestegious and better then the WWE, the NWA title. Just trying to help but next time use the TNA ask a Question thread

I think they should make a TNA title and make it the Mid-card belt like US or IC!! this would really help that roster out for good people who are beltless because they only have to on oppisite ends of the spectrum!

NWA title is PERFECT for TNA. A lot of great men held that!

NWA is still around. They have territories all over the world and the NWA champion still travels there. Thats what Global impact is really.

TNA uses the NWA like a training territory. Thats where they sent Jeff Hardy to work out the rest of the contract. Lance Hoytt wrestles all over the NWA terretories.

Its like back in the older days of wrestling. When NWA's main titles appeared on World Championship Wrestling on TBS in the 80's. There eventually WCW dropped NWA.

I don't think TNA should do this. I think the NWA title means a lot. Hell PWI offically declared it a World Title for the first time since the early 90's. The NWA title dates back farther than the WWE's titles. I think TNA should embrace that tradition while moving forward.

Actually, the Tag Team titles that TNA has are the NWA tag titles. And I think that having the NWA title is great. It truly is the most prestigous belt in wrestling since it was the first belt that belonged to a well known wrestling. Ric Flair said that back when he was younger if you had the NWA title you were the man. The NWA owns TNA. That title was held by Ric Flair, Sting, Lou Thesz, Buddy Rogers, Dory Funk Jr., Jack Brisco, Terry Funk, Harley Race, Dusty Rhodes, Kerry Von Erich, Ricky Steamboat, etc. That's why I think that changing the belt to TNA would be a very foolish idea.

It would help TNA if they added another belt like a Light Heavyweight belt or once they expand more something like when WWE had the European title, something like that or once they get enough female wrestlers a women's title. when it comes to looks i like the old WCW belt that's on smackdown now i think it looks like a good championship Belt, big WCW fan back in the day before the NWO crap never really watched WWE. WWE blew it for me when they seperated the rosters & now have 2 heavyweight titles & 2 tag titles, that's just plain stupid! i think all belts should be on both shows.

I think there is nothing wrong with using the NWA World Heavyweight Championship, it’s the greatest title of all time IMO, but instead I think they should of made their own TNA World title, to try and make that one more prestigious and add up the title’s credibility.

I think the X-Division Title is pretty much like the Light Heavyweight/Cruiserweight Title since most of the guy holding are cruiserweights (with the exception, of course, Samoa Joe).

That's true, they need something right below the heavyweight title, like how WWE has the US title & the Intercontinental title where there isn't a weight class anyone can compete for it. but they need something original like how the x-division title is.

Nah cause Samoa Joe won the belt. And there isn't in the Heavyweight Belt either cause Ron Killings and AJ Styles won them before

I think if you want to talk about ugly titles then WWE takes the record for most ugliest titles ever. The only decent looking titles theyve had are the two old WWF World titles. The NWA title isnt the best looking but if you were a wrestler and you held that belt..I dont think youd be worrying about the look....so many great wrestlers have held that belt

The one title i do hate the most is that stupid spinner title, it looked okay befoe that jack off cena got it, thought they would change it back after he lost it but now it looks even worse with the spinning R. guess they're keeping it cause u know he's gonna get it back before his movie premier so he can be "THE CHAMP" on the red carpet, like when he just happened to win it when his cd came out. i still like the old WCW title on Smackdown even though it is a little too fancy looking.

They want to continue the rich tradition of that famous belt. More prestigous I think than World Heavyweight Championship on smackdown

They ruined the credibility of that belt when they sent it to Smackdown.
