We have the IPod. We have the Zune. We have the PSP. Not to mention all the lesser but still formitable players such as the Sansa. This debate was a constant back in High School, but we never really reached a verdict. So its simple. What media player do you think is best? Is it the Zune because of the wireless song transfers? Or is it the IPod because its so reliable? Maybe the PSP because its so versatile? Since I only have a hacked PSP I'll let you discuss.

I voted for the iPod Touch. I have owned one for about 7 months and I must say that I go everywhere with it. I use it for my car, I use it when I take the bus, I use it all the time. The batter is incredibly long lasting, with a huge memory of 32GB. I can watch movies, play 100s of games on it and use it to surf the internet. I used it to build a website over the summer, I used it for fairs, I use it to watch friends on car trips, I use it all the time.

You never know about the smaller/lesser brands until you are poor enough not to be able to purchase a high end product.

My 20G Ipod died years ago, but I had income tax money to buy a launch Zune. All was fine and dandy. I had it for a couple years and when it died, I didn't have the $200 for a new one. I had $100 tops for one, so I picked the Sandisk Sansa Fuze. It's a fun little player.

I just wish it wasn't like wrestling. There's always going to be the "Big Two" with MS and Apple. But to tell the truth, I dont miss either too much. Sure I had to find bizarre ways to download my podcasts, but I count my blessings that the fuze has a damn fine battery life as well as the ability to be a HD anywhere so I can share things with friends.

Needless to say, I voted Sansa. :)

I voted for iPod and it is definitely not a huge surprise.

For anyone who doubts the credentials of the iPod, I would urge you to go to the next page of the section and read my analysis of them. They have basically saved Apple in the world of technology. Before iPods, Apple were fighting a losing battle and losing hard. Since they were introduced, people have been going crazy for them and they have always been on the cutting edge of the technology race. They started with the wheel, that everyone thought was amazing. Then they moved on to the touch editions and as the technology got both smaller and more advanced, Apple have become major players on the stage of technology once more.

The reason that people love them so much is because they are both very innovative and very trendy. They are tremendously easy to use and less complicated than the others. iPod lead the way in the race for media player supremacy, that's for sure and it is not unwarranted by any stretch of the imagination.

I'm going to say iPod. Not because they're technically superior or inferior to its competitors but because the iPod has in a sence, defined the genre. It's like you dont use a ball point pen, you use a Biro; you dont use a search engine, you Google it. you dont listen to your MP3 player, you listen to your iPod. That's the way it is. In the eyes of the common man MP3 player = iPod; and I'd guess that this shows in the sales figures for iPods verses its competitors.

Not to mention that they look damn good, are simple to use and tend to be reliable.
