Who'll be the next Grand Slam Winner?

Vincent Michaels

My weapon of choice? A green onion.
AJ Styles is the only man to win it, and technically with The TV Title he can claim to have won it twice. My first choice would be Angle, but with him rising through the ranks I don't think they would sidetrack him by having AJ drop the belt to him, even if it ended with AJ getting it back. So I think either AJ will not defend it, lose to Angle by DQ, or stupidly drop the Title back to Terry next Thursday. If not Angle than I would pick Joe either soon or down the road somewhere.

So, who do you think will win it next?

My choice would have to be Joe.
He's already been X division champ, world heavyweight champ, tag-team champ.. now all he needs is the TV tittle.

Kurt angle is my second choice and not first because it seems like his career is coming closer and closer to an end and I don't think he will hold the tittle.. right now he is in the main event seen, climbing the top ten rankings and will probably win the world tittle. From then he might have a few more feuds but I doubt he will compete for the tv tittle.

I would have to pick Joe too. I can't see them taking Angle out of the world title picture but Joe is kind of like AJ in that he's a believable main eventer and can work in the mid-card too when needed. An AJ/Joe fued hasn't really been worn out all that much so I can see them feuding for the title and people would be interested in it.

Eric Young has won every belt in TNA except the World Title, but I highly doubt he'll be a grand slam champion anytime soon.

It will be Joe, he has already been world champ, x division champ and tag champ all he needs now is the TV title and considering that he is currently not in any other title scene he would be a believable threat to the title. As others have said Joe can be a main eventer but when he isnt he is also a very believable mid carder.

Yeah, it will definitely be Samoa Joe if it is anyone, if he feuds with AJ some time soon, he can win the title off of him, and become TNA's 2nd Grand Slam champion!

I have to agree, Joe has to be the favourite, because Angle is rising in the ranks and heading towards a world title reign. Eric Young isnt winning a world title anytime soon and there are no others I can think of other than Booker T but he wont be coming back and even if he did he wouldnt be competing for X division gold.

Probably Samoa Joe, maybe Kurt Angle, but do they need another Grand Slam Champ? That's kind of a selling point for AJ Styles right? That he's been the only one and he's been there since the start?

It has to be Joe or Angle, I could see Joe winning it first, after facing AJ for the TV title. The 2 of them will obviously have a classic match, as we all know they can

I could also see Kurt getting the TV title before he retires, as a thank you so he can go down as a TNA grand slam champion. He certainly deserves it, and with AJ and probably Joe holding the belt it will already have alot of credibility before Angle gets it, and then obviously its prestige will raise even more with the best of all time Kurt Angle holding it

Yeah its probley Samoa Joe or Kurt Angle or maybe Eric Young.

Samoa Joe and Kurt Angle only need the TV title to become grand slam champions but Kurt Angle is going for the heavyweight title so Samoa Joe is credibly.

Eric Young needs the TNA heavyweight championship but that does not seem very likely since he is teaming with Orlando Jorden and has a head injury (storyline) so I don't see him win it until five maybe six years.

So my pick is Samoa Joe as he is not doing much and could probably feud with A.J Styles for the Global/T.V title.

Samoa Joe DEFINATELY. He could solidify whether he is a heel or a face by feuding with AJ. All he has to do is act how a heel/face should and finally we'll know what he is. As stated, he has the World Title, Tag Titles, and the X-Division Title under his belt. All he'd have to do is win the TV Title from AJ once. Joe is like AJ in the way that they made it big with ROH/TNA, and so they're like the originals of TNA, they work their asses of, and both of them deserve to hold the title of Grand Slam Winner.

I would think it will be Samoa Joe..makes sense..he only needs the TV title now...and since he ain't really challenging for any title at the moment, why not go for the title that will be defended every week?

Angle is my second choice..although I don't think it will happen this year...this year is about him going after the World title...therefore no other title will come in his way!

In terms of who is closest to achieving it, Kurt Angle would be next in line seeing as he's going up against AJ Styles come the special iMPACT! in August, but if the TV title isn't on the line, I'd go with the general consensus and say Samoa Joe would be the most likely suitor as he's already won the TNA World Heavyweight Championship, Tag Team Championships and X Division Championship numerous times – only thing missing from his répertoire is the Legends Global TV title.

I seriously doubt someone as bland and boring as Eric Young ever comes close to winning a World Heavyweight Championship in TNA. Young as TNA WHC is like David Arquette all over again.

Joe is the most obvious candidate, since he has three of the titles already. But I think it's worth looking at some others, just to be complete.

First of all, given the current regime's treatment of the X Division, I don't think any former World Champions are going to be picking up that title, and I don't think anyone TNA management sees as a future World Champion will be picking up that title. So we're looking at guys who have already held the X Title and the Tag titles.

Kazarian--At first I thought, too old, but he's only 33. He has time to win the TV title and then the World title, but not any time soon, since he's AJ's backup in Fortune.

Doug Williams, World Champion? I don't think so.

Homicide--Maybe. They're trying to build him, matching him with Jeff Hardy and keeping him away from an LAX reunion. Sooner than Kazarian, but I don't know if TNA is around long enough for Homicide to win two different titles.

Eric Young? IF he does, he will win it on TNA's farewell show, Tommy Dreamer-style.

Jay Lethal--they think they're building him up with Flair, but they're not. Next.

Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin--they're invested in pushing the Machine Guns, so MCMG would have to run its course, with one of them still keeping management's favor, and then win both heavyweight singles titles.

OK, so my money is on Eric Young.

I think TNA has themselves in a tight spot with the TV belt and the upcoming AJ vs Angle showdown. The most likely scenario is Angle says I am solely focused on winning the world title and then beats AJ in a non-title match. However, you have to feel like that slightly cheapens the belt that they appear to be trying to put a lot of effort into adding credibility to. Lucky for them Angle is so good that he could pull this off with little damage. They could have Angle win the belt and then give it up to a TV tournament. He would then be the next grand slam winner. I guess they could derail the top 10 story for an Angle vs fortune feud if AJ cheated to win. Whatever the case, this belt and where they choose to go with it would seem key to the next grand slam winner.

The TNA grand slam is kind of tricky anyway. Most guys that enter the company now that can get to the WHC picture anytime soon are never going to be involved in the x-division. So if Angle or Joe are not going back to the upper midcard title anytime soon it could be a while as we would wait for someone to work their way up the card. The only guys fitting that bill that have a head start are Lethal and Kaz.
