Who would be a good choice as Assistant for Ted Dibiase Jr?

Looking at the Raw roster, I saw a bunch of potential superstars. How about Ryder? Remember him? He'll be a great choice. He's still heel, and it will get a lot of air time, which he is currently not seeing.

Yoshi Tatsu, why not? I know he's face, but I think Yoshi can really express himself as a heel, and make it a lot further in the business that way.

William Regal. Yup, he's back too, now I know he doesn't seem to much like an assistant, but I think with Ted's rich boy character, and William Regals English man character, it will make a great tag team.

Why not Goldust? Honestly, I don't remember seeing him for awhile, and Goldy really does need some time on TV, and this would give it to him. I can picture Ted asking Goldust, as Cody was Ted's old partner, and since Goldust is Cody's bro, Ted may think they have the same ring skills.

Kozlov? Ted and Kozlov would be perfect. Ted can have Vladamir do all the dirty, tough stuff, and then he can swore in a take the title, a perfect team in WWE's eyes!

I've got a few more. How about Khail? Ted, Khail, and that little dude that follows him. It will be like Jerishow, Khail gets a lot more time on air (I know I've been saying that alot, but it could really benefit these guys.)

Gonna go out on scrawny limb saying this...but what about Sheamus? Sheamus is still..semi new to the business, with Ted giving him a few pointers, Sheamus can sharpen up his wrestling, and Ted can get farther in the business.

One more, how about Mark Henry. Turn him heel, and have him go with Ted. For one, I think Henry is a way better heel, and more intimidating at that, considering his gigantic size, the teddy bear gimmick just..doesn't suit him, maybe a few beat downs on innocent superstars can help him out with that?

I think they've planted the seeds for it to be Michael Tarver.

The last few weeks, they've gone for the sympathetic angle with Tarver. They've brought up how he has 5 kids he has to feed at home, and how he's had a tough life. Tarver has also been sort of a loser on NXT, much like Virgil was throughout his WWE run. Tarver may be sort of bland in the ring, but he's surprisingly really decent at cutting promos, and he doesn't necessarily deserve to be future endeavored for good.

Last night during his elimination interview, he was talking about how he needs to feed his family, how he has no money, and how he seemed desperate, overall. His exit from his interview with Matt Striker seemed open-ended as well. Striker asked him what was next, and Tarver just walked away.

I think they're going to have Ted offer him the Virgil spot, and he'll take it, doing whatever he can in order to earn a spot in the WWE.

I hope Tarver gets paired with Dibiase. Although he didn't show much in the ring, I believe Tarver was easily the best promo cutter of all the NXT rookies. He has the look, the back story, and the intensity to be perfect for Dibiase. Even with the Colons already there I like the Tarver/Dibiase pairing.

I didn't catch the NXT elimination episode, but from what I hear they ended it with a certain note that would leave people to believe that Tarver could be his virgil. It makes sense in context but seems a little too much like the original storyline with his father. That's what they're going for obviously but they might want to try a different approach to not completely rehash an old idea. They should keep the original aspects of what Virgil was and add a different look to it.

The best option I can think of would be Ezekiel Jackson. He's a big guy but not overwhelmingly so to where he would decimate everyone in his path. His got a certain look to him that sets him apart. They would add a little bit of force and power to this version of virgil which would in turn add more to the Dibiase character. Zeke would always be lurking in the corner and insert himself into Ted's matches at the most significant times. Working as any heel manager or bodyguard would, but with a sweet payday being his driving force.

Biggest problem I see with this is Big Zeke's current absence. I'm not sure how long he is supposed to be out for,but if he couldn't make a return in time then Tarver would be my next choice.

Zeke was originally one of the first guys I thought about but he already had a similar role a year or two ago as Brian Kendrick's bodyguard. He left ECW as the last champion and was primed for a big push on Smackdown before the injury and I'd see him being Ted's bodyguard as a giant step backwards. It wouldn't be the first time it's happened to a guy but I just don't see Zeke going back to the bodyguard role this soon.

To be honest I really don't want to see Ted get himself a Virgil. I know he has the Million Dollar Championship but getting a Virgil is a little too much like his father foe my taste. While it would be nostalgic and interesting, I think that would wear off sooner rather than later. If he has to have one though I would want it to be someone that would end up fueding with him a few monthes down the road, someone like Ezekiel would be interesting. They both have a defucnt championship that they carry around, well sort of. Million Dollar Championship wasn't really a championship and I don't know if Jackson will still be carrying the ECW belt around when he gets back, but if so it could lead to some interesting confrontations.

So I don't want him to have his Virgil, but if he has to I'm with the majority in hoping that it is Jackson.

I really don't think this would be the case, he wouldn't simply be just a bodyguard, but a mercenary of sorts. I wouldn't see it as a step back but more like Zeke bein' a hustler, ending up in a fued with DiBiase.
