Who Was Stronger???

This may very well be totally unnecessary, but I was just watching some old matches on youtube involving Brock Lesnar and Goldberg and I remembered that these two guys were damn animals during their tenures in pro wrestling. Goldberg Jackhammer slamming Big Show and Kevin Nash in WCW, while Brock Lesnar giving the F5 to just about everyone, especially during Survivor Series 2002 where he shocked the world by F5ing Big Show after weeks of hearing he couldn't do it lol and later giving Show a standing vertical suplex during the triple threat match with Angle at Vengeance 2003. I was just curious ad to who u guys think was the stronger of the two as they both could be argued to be the strongest guys WWE ever had. If u disagree, state who else do u think was the real powerhouse during their career and give an example of an impressive display of strength.

Based purely on strength, I don't know if anyone was stronger than Lesnar. I mean all one has to do is look at the man to understand that point. He was an animal. According to an old SI from his college wrestling era:

He could deadlift 720 pounds, squat 695 and bench-press 475 and I think he's gotten bigger since than. He was definitily stronger than Goldberg in my book.

Brock hands down the man is an animal just look at his MMA fights, he hit the Texas crazy horse so hard he flipped him backwards across the cage.

alot of people tend to think of Dave Batista when they think of power houses in the world of wrestling... simply because the man has a freakishly large body, but any rumors of that were squashed when Booker T beat him up.

another person who is a real power house... just not a very good wrestler is Khali, the man was a highly accomplished body builder pre-WWE, even becoming Mr. India or at least i think that was what the competition was.

i know everyone hates him but cena is pretty much one of the strongest in WWE at the moment, for someone who weighs about 245 he lifted edge and big show up at mania. thats pretty huge, brock was/is very strong, but he has a huge weight advantage, goldberg was just crazy hitting the jack hammer on big show, even though in WCW show was alot smaller than now.

I take Brock Lesnar for the win ANY day, in a strong man competition against Goldberg. Goldberg was a punk. Giving Big Show a jackhammer back in his slim WCW days = no big deal. You're lucky if show was a legit 400lbs then. And given the fact that your opponent HELPS you with your power moves such as a jackhammer, Goldberg probably never had to exert as much raw strength to get Big Show up in the air. And once Show was vertical over Goldberg's head, the force of the weight is greatly reduced. If you don't believe me, try it on one of your friends. As for Lesnar's F5 on Show, that was more impressive. For one, Show was FAT at that time, around a legit 500lbs. Two, it requires an enormous amount of strength to take that kind of weight from your shoulders and jerk it up over your head while spinning it around. As for the strongest of all time, give me Andre the Giant! The stories of his pure strength are LEGENDARY! Hulk Hogan has even admitted that he was sickly nervous the night before Wrestlemania 3, because as strong as Hogan was, if Andre decided once they were in the ring that he didn't want to lose, he could have easily SQUASHED Hogan and embarrassed him with his raw strength!

Brock is the strongest wrestler ever. Andre could barley move. What feet of strength did u see him perform. Lesnar F5'd everyone: Show, Henry, Rikishi. He did it all.

I think Lex Luger was the strongest Man to ever grace a wrestling ring not the best wrestler but the strongest... I takes amazing strength to bodyslam a 600lbs man in Yokozuna, torture rack Kevin Nash, The Giant/Big Show etc..The guy was extra strong. Between Lesnar and Goldberg, I would say Brock cus of the already stated reasons above..

I would have to say Lesnar, the man F5ing everyone is just too much to look over. Cena is pretty high up there, the FU is no small feat either especially if you are doing to guys like Big Show. But Lesnar for sure was/is/has been the strongest to grace the WWE.

Yes i dont think body has anything to do with strength. When every person has the same story about the same person, they are probably true. Andre being the strongest. And Haku / Meng being the toughest.- love Meng stories.

I would put my money on Ken Patera (old school 80's), he was a legit Olympic lifter, and the first American to clean and press 500 lbs. That means that he could have lifted Big Show up right over his head, arms fully extended (you know, like Show does to Mysterio), and dropped him on his head. Also Tony Atlas in his prime... far more muscle than Lesnar... OLD SCHOOL RULES!

Gonna go with Brock on this. I watched the video of his workout and anyone who carries a tree trunk up a hill on their shoulder gets the win in my book.

Remember Johnny Stamboli aka Rellik? That guy was a beast. He didn't look horribly big, but he press slammed Rakishi. In fact a while back I proposed that the WWE should bring him back just for the memorable spots they could have him pull off. He's a monster and the best part is that he does't look it. Anyways...he's my pick.

I'd say probably Lesnar but i really don't think there would be much inbetween the 2. In terms of legit all time strongest can anyone remember what Mark Henry used to lift???

I don't understand why other guys are being brought into this debate between Goldberg and Lesnar... but anyway Lesnar would definiely be my pick. The numbers quoted that he used to put up in college are impressive and being able to FU the big show on a regular basis is just damn impressive.

Lesnar isn't stronger than Henry though... ;)

lesnar stronger than goldberg yes defianetely. goldberg being a beast fo sho. anyone questioning that just watch him bust out all the windows on that limo in wcw with his bare fist. As for strongest of all time go with henry which is crazy because he never did anything in a ring that really showed that off, but anyone coming in 2 or 3 all time strongman list on flex mag gotta mean something.

Neither Goldberg of Lesnar can claim the following in terms of strength:

Previous World Record Deadlift - 961lbs I recall
World record Raw Squat - 430kg I think
700-800lb bench
1st man to press the inch dumbell
invited every year to the Arnold Classic
place in the powerlifting hall of fame
Arnold Classic winner
Member of US Olympic weightlifting team
National Snatch & Clean & Jerk record...

simulated sex with Mae Young...damn I need a Henry avatar!
