The Chlamydia Kid
Pre-Show Stalwart
Please don't tell us that Brock was the best big man of all times... Just because he was 290 pounds of ripped muscle and knew how to do a lot of power moves doesn't make him "legit" nor a good wrestler. It is hard to find a good big man for one simple reason and that is that they are all either slow, stupid, don't know how to wrestle or the combination of the 3. And when I look at Brock and his work in Japan I feel like crying because he made himself look like a complete idiot there. As long as the best big men go here's my list of top 5:
1. Undertaker - very profiecient wrestler, knowledgeable of the wrestling ring and what makes a match good. I always found fascinating how he was always able to adapt to other people's styles. he could mat wrestle with guys like Angle, play fast pace with people like Rock, slow things down and make matches look good against slow stiffs like Mark Henry and Psycho Sid and even put over highflyers like Jeff Hardy. Plus, during his prime he was very athletic and was doing toprope moves which was unseen for the big man in US in the early/mid 90s.
2. Mike Awesome - Another great all around wrestler who got ruined in WCW. Awesome had it all from power to workrate to strong style wrestling. And when needed he could fly, as well. The only thing he lacked was knowledge of the wrestling ring and he wasn't that good in matches that went more than 15-20 minutes.
3. Sean O'Haire - He was awesome and ruined by WWE. WWE took away from him the senton that made him famous and they stuck him in a middle of nowhere not giving him muich of opportunity to do anything. O'Haire wasn't really a ring general but he was athletic as hell (way more athletic than Lesnar), and he could do just about anything.
4. Gorilla Monsoon - As good of a wresler as any big man. Monsoon wasn't that known for high impact offense or anything but he had the knowlede to carry other people in his matches.
5. Taue - One of Japan's legends. Back in early, mid 90s he was able to do it all, from top rope moves to high impact to mat wrestling. He was very knowledgable of the ring but the reason I ranked him only 5 is because he didn't move around that well.
