Who The Hell Just Attacked Hogan/Sting? [All Aces and Eights Discussion]

It's Damn Real!

The undisputed, undefeated TNA &
For those who didn't watch, IMPACT closed tonight with Sting cutting a promo chalking up Jerry and Jeff Jarrett, Dixie Carter and a slew of folks who he said he felt were more deserving of the Hall-of-Fame nod he was given at Slammiversary, but before he could actually finish he was attacked by three men in skull bandanas and grey blazers and pants who beat him down as the show went off the air.

Quesiton is... who the hell were they, and why did they attack Sting?

You gotta believe this couldn't just be another retirement angle, but this is as unpredictable as unpredictable gets, no?

On a related note, this is why LIVE IMPACT is so fuckin' good for this company.

Oh, and remember folks, this is still a NO SPAM section of the forum. Every post you make here needs a REASON to be posted in this section!

One of them kinda remind me of the shape of Kevin Nash, hell they kinda looked like prime nWo. But likely they are from AAA or RKK, of course JJ is behind this,.

It certainly was great to see something happen without already knowing what was going to happen. I think going live is the best thing TNA has done. I really like the promotion. Hopefully more people will catch on and enjoy it.

It's OK to like WWE also.......why does it have to be one or the other? There is enough room for both promotions to flourish.

This is actually one time TNA has done something that I really hav eno clue about. I don't remeebr one of them being big enough to be kevin nash. I sure hope its not him that would ruin this thing big time. And chris master..hmm not sure, it could work. I really can't think of anyone but like that one guy said I beelive jeff jarret will more than likely be behind this. And IDR your 100% right as always..THIS is why live TNA is good

This is going to be Ron and Don Harris led by a scorned Double J. Jarrett will be ticked off that Sting is the 1st HOF inductee and this will lead to the 100th Double J vs Sting feud. I don't know if it will be a good run or not, but it will be nice to see Double J back on TNA television.

Seriously though. Although I am looking forward to seeing Jarrett back in TNA, I hope that this isn't Double masterminding this attack on Sting. It would be much more interesting if it was someone who nobody saw coming. I am not sure who that would be, but I hope it is a BIG surprise. Jarrett vs Sting 100 wouldn't be the worst thing ever, but it would be SO MUCH better if it was someone less predictable.

BEST CASE SCENARIO: Sting got the nod for the HOF over Jeff Jarrett not because of backstage politics, but because of the angle we saw begin tonight on iMPACT! Jarrett will return to reveal himself as the mastermind of the attack. I understand this angle and I'm really excited to see how this all plays out, but I must say this would've been better suited for later this year leading up to Lockdown so we could see a rehash of the classic Team Jarrett angle from a few years back. But I'll take having Jarrett back any day of the week.

ALSO: What was the crowd chanting at the end there? Almost sounded like "Konan, Konan, Konan"...
EDIT: Apparently they were chanting "Hogan", my bad.

GREAT JOB TNA!

This is going to be Ron and Don Harris led by a scorned Double J. Jarrett will be ticked off that Sting is the 1st HOF inductee and this will lead to the 100th Double J vs Sting feud. .

I don't think its Ron and Don the guys who attacked sting had no tattoos and Ron and Don have them on their arms. it is gonna be Double J though its the most obvious solution. Can't wait for next week they have really pulled me in on this one.:wtf:

it's not flying elvises, it's not team canada...or could it...no no no. it's dfinitely not 3 live kru,...not planet jarrett....idk...serotonin....kinda doubtful...what happened to johnny devine...? maybe ROH or AAA guys...not sure.... Idk what to tell ya I want to be able to say it was fortune but that's highly doubtful though 3 of the are heels.

Yep, this was a great ending. I always loved the cliffhanger endings. WCW was huge on doing that back in the day. Hell, even WWE used to leave you hanging and keep you talking about it all week until the next show. It's good stuff.

Anyway, I have no idea. My first thought was that one guy was Jeff Jarrett, because of Sting being 1st into their HOF. If Double J is one of the guys, who's the other two?? Someone mentioned Kevin Nash, but I'll laugh and drop a load in my pants if one of the guys turns out to be Scott Hall. :)

Anyway, good Impact tonight. I enjoyed the whole show. Like someone else said, this is why being live is great. I hate trying to keep spoiler free all week because of tapings and I come to this site and accidentally read something that I didn't want to know about. Love the live shows. :)

i have no who it could be i wanna say jarrett was 1 of the guys doing the attack but they seem to be too jacked for it to be him...my only other guess is scott steiner being 1 of them but i hope not i dont wanna see him back it could very well be 3 guys from RKK my guess is were getting a new jarretts army.

Damn. That came out of nowhere. If I had to take a pick, every guy we saw in there was probably from OVW. That would imply whoever did it, isn't active in Impact Wrestling. It could be Jarrett with guys from AAA. Or it could be Eric Bischoff with new hired guns. All I know is that was a hell of a hook for next week.

I am not sure who the guys were I am looking for a replay I haven't found yet anywhere to watch and see if their are any signs to who they are.

The on good thing I can say is at least we know what the Hall of fame in TNA is and that is just a springboard to a story line. I was almost concerned for a little bit that TNA was really trying to pull off a Hall of Fame.

Well, I think the reason why they were having trouble moving ( Scott Hall....lol) was because they are guys not used to wearing masks....

I think TNA will likely make it Jarrett, although I really hope not. Given that they haven't acknowledged Karen's twitter rants, I'd guess that it'll be Jeff behind it, and then they'll get into how bitter Karen was. Honestly, the only way that I might pop for it being Jarrett would be if had him aligned with some of the old TNA originals that started out with the company. I hope they don't bog down any of the current real stars in it. Make it a full old time veteran thing, and I'll be fine with Jarrett.

Otherwise, I'd like to see it be 3 of the RKK guys trying ti stick up for Jarrett, only to have Jeff align with Sting, and have it turn out that Luger is paying these guys to take out Sting, and give old Lex a payday.....

Jeff Jarrett, and.

it wont be Matt Morgan. Morgan wrestled Crimson at a house show tonight. not that they couldn't have had a stand in for just tonight, but Morgan is also towards the end of his contract with TNA.

I would rule out Joey Ryan and John Morrison. looked too small to be them.

whoever it was hopefully it does not lead to some group wanting power/control and the heavyweight title similar to what Immortal was. it could be good to be Jarrett upset that Sting got in over him for the 1st member of the TNA HOF, the company he started.

Wow............looks at the replay & it's funny that the masked attackers have NWO-like qualities lol!!!!!!!! I noticed one guy had a chain on his pants. Another guy had a green wrist band sort of Nexus like.

The way they were punching either indicated they were acting like they were new to TNA or they were actually new to TNA.

I'm excited!!!!!! TNA finally with a great storyline.

The Jarrett scenario is the most likely, however I really hope TNA doesn't ruin this by making it so obvious. This was one of those endings from years past that could really be the start to something good.

One possibility I thought of, what if it has nothing to do with the HOF... There are a couple big time players sitting at home right now, and while I know none of them are likely to have signed with TNA, if they had, it could be a decent game changer. The size, motion, and botchiness of the bigger of the three guys reminded me of one guy in particular... Batista.

He was one of WWE's top 5 draws of the last decade, still has several years in the tank, and I believe for the right amount of money, I think he could look past the minor league feel that TNA has. Another relatively big name out there is Lashley. I know this is a far fetched idea, but Batista, Lashley, and Goldberg being under those hoods would be the best possible combination they could have signed in terms of star power. But then again, I'm still shocked Dixie didn't offer Batista Cena-like money as soon as his 90 days was up. Not really a fan of any of those guys, but honestly the size/build of the attackers and TNA's need for true star power makes this the best case scenario.

It might not be on par with the Luger/Nitro signing, or Hogan going to WCW, but it certainly be the biggest signing TNA has done since Angle and Sting. (yes I know Hogan was a major signing, but he no longer wrestles really).

JJ is a great bet as to who is pulling the strings. They were all about the same size and same shape/physique. My first thought upon seeing the three guys dressed identically & wearing what looked like LA Parka masks, was perhaps Gunner was part of the team -- but no tatoos on any of the guys' arms. I hope that it's some new young fresh blood added.

My first thought was that because they all that same build, perhaps -- just perhaps -- i hoped that one of them was Brent Albright. Joey Matthews & Jo-Mo would also be awesome. Ever since they were released, I've been wanting to see Jo-Mo & Melina join impact! Melina was actually getting pretty damn good before her release from the 'E and IMO she would be a really good addition to the TNA women's division. Figures that when a woman actually starts to get good and could deserve a step up in pay, that's when Vince cuts them loose. I think M-N-M would be a good addition to the show, especially coming in as a heel faction being backed by JJ.

When they 1st announced the TNA HoF i just assumed that the founder of the company would & should be the original HoF innaugral member, but coming back from India to get revenge on Sting & Dixie ........ (maybe he was the one who took the photos, video, & audio of Dixie & AJ....hmmm....)

it would truely be awesome if was someone along the likes of Brent Albright or Adam Pearce or ...... just maybe even a rejuvinated and slimmed down Chris Harris. I'm just going to be glued to the tube next week to see if that's when they do the reveal. in any case, TNA should keep up the recent great work.

It didnt seem like anybody that was in a major organization anytime recent. The three seemed kind of sloppy. But what an awesome episode of TNA tonight!!! I'm a big WWE guy but the Abyss story,Dixie story and now the Sting story man what a great show they got going on.

I know I will get hated for this but Roode is the best champion in wrestling right now.

I gotta go with the obvious and say Jarret is behind this. Karren has been ranting on Twitter, plus the logic of "I should be first" by Jarret can be used throughout the feud. I say it can culminate in a BFG Match. Both guys may be older, but they can still put on one hell of a match.

As for who the guys where tonight, I have no earthly idea. It could be anybody.

One thing I do know is, I am intrigued. Lets not drop the ball this time TNA, mkay?

That was a great surprise ending to Impact. I can honestly say that I wholeheartedly enjoyed it and that I'm excited for next week. Hell, I didn't even watch the segment live (kept away from results, though) and I was still absolutely shocked -- it all worked to perfection and piqued my interest. I have to commend TNA for going with this ending, because it actually builds toward the next episode and offers some continuity. Actually, they did a great job of that all night, by announcing Open Fight Night, Gut Check, Austin Aries' decision, and then adding in the mystery of Sting's attackers. TNA really seems to be invested in going live and this segment only confirms that.

Anyway, my best guess is probably Jeff Jarrett or some of Eric Bischoff's goons. I couldn't recognize any of the wrestlers involved in the beatdown and there are far too many options for me to speculate, but if I had to guess, I'd say Chris Masters might be involved in this, when everything is said and done. He's been working dark matches and has been primed for a TNA debut for some time now, so I'd assume that this would be a unique way to bring him in. I'm hoping this leads to a match at (maybe) Bound For Glory and that they can really stick with this angle -- as of right now, it's showing a lot of promise.

The guy on the left looks like David Flair, the guy in the middle looks like Shawn Stasiak and the guy on the right looks like Mike Knox.

I know TNA have been considering doing a AAA invasion, so it's likely to be that also but i'd like it to be A Selfish Generation Stable and Roode payed them to take out Sting while he has other things to worry about.

I think it's one of the guys from the NWA times like jarret. This is because they might think that they should of been the first inductee(s). Someone mentioned that jarret & sting might go at it at the 100th episode. Not a bad idea but shouldn't be the main event. This is 2012.:icon_neutral:

It's Taker - this is Vince big story

If I was booking it would be Jeff Jarrett and 2 other "ex" TNA wrestlers and they would start with Sting and next week would attack Roode and the week after Hogan until finally it's shown that Dixie Carters husband is behind the attacks and he's trying to ruin TNA to get even with Dixie. This will lead to a power struggle and guys having to pick sides with the threat of being fired if they back the wrong owner.

On a related note, this is why LIVE IMPACT is so fuckin' good for this company.

This right here.

No matter who it is, it's got me intrigued. I feel like an idiot that JJ didn't cross my mind right away because that's the most obvious solution. But I couldn't tell by their builds at all and am wondering who the other 2 would be with him. Or JJ wasn't there and he sent the 3 guys in his "stable" or whatever to take out Sting.

i think it should be some of the tna orignals as they could have it that they built the company from the start and they should be in the hall of fame not sting please just dont let it be another faction vs faction for control wwe did that with the minstry of darkness n the coperation n wcw did that with the new blood n millowaire club and tna already done it before let it be that they and jj are fed up with them nt bein first in hof n i know im only am 22 but ive watched wcw n wwe n ecw and have watched old ppvs and i think the faction road been used to many times
