Who The Hell Just Attacked Hogan/Sting? [All Aces and Eights Discussion]

I am not sure who will be responsible for this, but I will agree with all of the TNA praise that's going on in this thread. Other then the Punk-Bryan-AJ situation, WWE has zero interesting angles going on right now.

TNA has multiple as I'm digging Abyss for the first time in the Joe Park/Bully Ray/Abyss angle. I'm not a huge AJ Styles guy, but the angle is interesting. And now this mystery attack on Sting? Add in Booby Roode and Austin Aries (two of best Champions in wrestling right now) plus James Storm and Impact is really the more entertaining brand to watch right now.

All we need is a little less Hogan (both of them actually as Brooke is like a carbon copy of her old man in terms of her mannerisms and speech patterns) and TNA would be better to watch then WWE right now.

I never thought I'd say that, but it's true.

Gotta say I was impressed with this ending. Haven't got a clue who these attackers. But I know it was neither Nash or Masters, considering their tats on their arms, whereas these guys didn't appear to have any. I can't wait to fiond out in the coming weeks. But this was a nice improvement over the last couple of weeks of live programming.

I believe one of the attackers was....... the dark child CHANCE PROPHET!!!! amazing talent a guy in and out if the ring... former NWA champ and well known along east coast especially in the WV,TN,KY,OH areas. If one is indeed Prophet TNA has signed a true talent

Mike Knox. thanks to the guy above that brought his name up Chris Masters and not sure about the 3rd.

and cant tell you which one it was but one of the guys had a large arm band tattoo and his left arm. noticed it while he was throwing punches

1 last thing. the guys on the Right in the picture of the three guys over sting, it looks like he has red face paint on under the bandana

It wouldbe funny if these were the three guys that have had dark matchs in TNA recently: Chris Masters, Mike Knox and Domino. You have the size, the same positions(three jobbers that want a spot in the company) and them having worked in dark matchs may not be a coincidence.

Their target was Sting. What Sting just have: a HOF entrance. They would be guys that want to make a name for themselves by attacking the most celebrated TNA wrestler. Who's next? AJ?

I don't know who it was but I will say that it's great to see people talking about it like this, and talking about TNA like this. They've really stepped up their game and it's showing in the product.

It might be Jarrett or a coalition of new guys either way I'm excited.

I think that one of them and the leader of the group is Crimson.
His 'streak' was squashed by James Storm, so this is the best way to regain his credibility - by taking out the Hall of Famer.
The others could be anyone.

The people who attacked Sting were definatly sent by Jeff Jarrett or Jeff Jarrett and Jerry Jarrett. I know this because they were the two people that started TNA and they feel that they should be inducted first. I also believe that they deserve to be the first inductee because they started this company and Sting wasn't even there from the start of TNA. The people who attacked Sting were probably former WCW members like Kevin Nash. This is who I believe attacked and sent the masked men to attack Sting.

The storyline is probably going to have them as three punks who want TNA contracts and were trying to show that they'd do anything to get said contratcs. Originally I thought it was Kazarian, Daniels and perhaps even Bully Ray but then I relaized that Kaz and Daniels are too skinny to be the thugs. Plus, Bully Ray's already in a pickle with Abyss, he's too busy to bug Sting.
It'd be funny tho, if the thugs were Chris Jericho, Brock Lensnar, and Kevin Nash.

Well it isnt Nash. All 3 of them moved far to nimbly to be Big Sexy with a bad knee. If one of them limped about and struggled to get into the ring, we have ourselves a winner.

After reviewing the Pics and basing my theory on Eye and body structure I believe 2 of them might be Dustin Rhodes and Shane Douglas I am not sure about the third. Dustin Rhodes would make sense as it has been rumored he maybe returning to TNA and Shane Douglas would also make sense due to his unhappiness over the Hardcore Justice: One Last Stand PPV and this might be a storyline where he is trying to ruin the company by eliminating the first HOF inductee. Only time will tell and hopefully this is a storyline that we have some answers on soon and they don't drag it into the ground.

I can't believe no one has figured it out!!! It's the guys who kidnapped Samoa Joe!!!!;)

Seriously though, it was great tv and I can't wait to see where this goes. Hopefully when this angle has run its course we get some new superstars out of it that will help TNA. I;m thinking Mike Knox, Luke Gallows and not sure about the third...

This impact was awesome and I cant wait for next week.

Truthfully I especially hope it's not Shane Douglas because that would be a huge moment that not many would care about.

One other person mentioned the guy on the right looks to have ref face paint and it does look kind of red above the eyes so I wonder if it was a mask rather than face paint. Maybe if Dustin Rhodes is returning the red is a mask and it is someone wearing Rellik's mask and they are returning as Black Reign and Rellik along with one other person.

Yeah these are a couple of the guys I think it is aswell, Along with Jay Bradley. Some of these guesses by these fans are off the wall! Some one said Joey Ryan and the Young Bucks, lol

Mike Knox
Drew Hankinson
and Jay Bradley!

after my earlier post i also realised i hope its nothing to do with dixies husband but i dont think it is as aj would have been first i hope its jerry jarrett as it was his money that started the ball rowing with tna

I honestly hope it's not Double J as that would be painfully too predictable here. I mean look at all the responses here, that's who everyone seems to think it is.

I really don't know, but all of the guys in the ring looked too big to be any of the current TNA stars. So we'll have to wait and see. That is exactly what's throwing me off the most. Is who the hell in developmental or on the roster is anywhere near the size of the 3 who entered the ring. They were bigger than Sting even....

More than likely, it's Jarrett who'll be behind the attacks and I'm okay with that. He's a decent character and it would be a good feud for him and Sting playing off the Hall of Fame. But, I don't want him in the ring a ton. I think he'd be decent as a part time manager. He could fill the role vacated by Flair. He'd be a good mentor for some guys like Gunner or Crimson. But, as for the guys who did the attacks, I'm guessing Gallows, Knox, and Masters which everyone seems to be picking. Other options are Dustin Rhodes, , Chris Harris, or Harry Smith.

The other option for the guy behind the attack could possibly be Eric Bischoff. He's gone from the company. Hogan and Sting played a large part in that. Maybe Bischoff's back and running a new invasion regime...

I hope it's goons hired by either Jeff Jarrett or Joey Ryan. That would be a really cool way to to debut a stable, going after the company's biggest Icon. Good work already with this one TNA.

Impact LIVE has been fantastic simply because of things like this.

For the most part I didn't read Impact reports early when it was taped, but I always knew I COULD and I definitely was not eager to get home and see the show.

This combined with the solid Aries angle was fantastic to see live on Thursday night. It makes you want to tune in.

Obviously, the logic says that Jarrett is involved in this attack on Sting in a "I should have been first in" sort of jealous rage. The size of the people definitely made it seem that Jarrett was not there, but they could definitely be his "people."

It is definitely very interesting though because there are a ton of different directions that they could go with it. Seeing JJ back on screen will be nice though. And moving Sting in a non-championship feud direction is nice.

Well I also think it's Jarrett but not for the Hall of Fame snub. But because Sting fired him and Karen.I also think they're the ones that outed Dixie and Aj!Because Dixie fired or suspended them when Karen was cheating on Angle with Jeff.

The train of thought that it's Jarrett behind the 3 big guys tracks as far as the HOF angle goes, but does anyone really want another Sting vs Jarrett match? and are TNA really going to do something so obvious at a time where their creativity is sparking pretty well?

The guys could have a bigger agenda, the attack on Sting may just be the start of it, this week they may attack someone else and Sting will turn out to simply be the first target to make a statement.

At any rate it was a good angle that has built intrigue for this weeks Impact. As for who the guys are, I expect them to all be new faces recruited and at least one of them will have some name value.

First off, I want to commend TNA for the angle. The three guys in question have been sent in with the MO of hiding their identities. Watch the segment again, all three have the same mannerisms; hunched shoulders, not keeping their arms tight to their sides, bowed heads, very basic attacks. Even the apparent paint on one guy could be a red herring.

As for the storyline, I'm going with Jarrett being behind it but I think the HoF is the least of the issue. I see this as Jarrett leading a takeover of his company and making use of the wild goose trails that Dixie has been sending him on to AAA and RKK along with his own contacts (Easy E) to create an army to do so. This would rectify the one remaining issue that IW has - lack of top line heels without having to turn guys like AJ or Jeff who do not look comfortable in that roll. My guess - look for Hogan and Aries to end this weeks Impact, Hulk to leave the ring only for two or three XDivision size assailants to attack Austin and the same three guys who attacked Sting attacking the Immortal One when he attempts to make the save.

To answer the question; Luke Gallows is a solid shout, so is DHS (two guys who have been given a chance in RKK but not in IW) and my guess for assailant number three would be the former Trevor Murdoch who was future endeavored by IW but hired by JJ for RKK. These three guys fit the apparent physiques of the three assailants and have the connection to Jarrett.

Even if I am completely off kilter here, I still await the weeks Impact impatiently to see the next chapter.

11-jeff-jarrett-vs-sting.jpg

Here we go again! Jeff Jarrett vs Sting is one of the iconic feuds in TNA's ten year history. As the anniversary just came and went, it's almost fitting they bring it back into the fold for another go-around. I've always thought that when Sting retires, it should be with either Ric Flair or Jeff Jarrett; his two biggest rivals from the two companies that made him famous (alright, the one company that MADE him famous, and the one that...was the only place for him to go?).

This really shouldn't even be debated anymore, it's Jeff Jarrett. No idea who the other two dudes are, but hopefully they can be integrated into the tag team division in the future. Pretty sure this is the best thing TNA could do with Sting or Jarrett right now. It makes sense as a storyline, as Sting is partially -- if not fully -- responsible for Jarrett and Mrs. Jarrett losing their jobs. Now that Ring Ka King has wrapped up its first season, and Jarrett's role as AAA Champion has come to an end, it seems fitting they stir him back into the TNA mix.

Fuck all the internet criticism. I can understand people that hated Jarrett in WCW and thought he was completely over-rated; he probably was. The era he took over in was a shell of a formerly great product. But in TNA I've always thought of Double J as one of wrestling's best heels. Maybe it's all the internet hate that fuels him; who cares? He's easy to hate, an above average ring worker and one of TNA's best mic workers. His work with Sting has been hit-or-miss, but there's enough of it over the years to say it's been good overall.

We got Bobby Roode as the Champion. We've got AJ STyles and Kurt Angle as the tag champions in a developed program with Kazarian and Christopher Daniels. Austin Aries is the #1 Contender and apparently endorsed by Hulk Hogan. And we've got the whole Bully Ray and Abyss thing that won't die -- I'm not complaining. Not to mention that James Storm is probably going to the spotlight of the Bound for Glory Series. So there's a ton of both established and newly developing talents in the mix. There's a hole in the Impact Wrestling product for veterans, as surprising as that may seem, filling it with Jeff Jarrett and Sting sounds like a great plan to me.

So let's do this! Bring on the Sting/Jarrett feud #534!

obvious isn't a bad thing. we will see how it still plays out, but it seems obvious that Roode will hold the title all the way to BFG and that James Storm will end up winning the BFG series to face Roode in an epic match at BFG. that's obvious, but it's a good thing for TNA.

whoever is behind attacking Sting should be something separate from the heavyweight title, and not another Immortal type group/angle. Jeff Jarrett is the perfect fit for what has been mentioned. the 3 guys who attacked Sting don't have to be guys current in TNA. they could be 3 henchmen who do Jarrett's dirty work, 3 guys who really aren't "names". they could be 3 names involved in this angle with Jarrett vs Sting and then not be needed anymore when Jarrett fades away again.

I think it's great and entertaining to have multiple big angles going on at the same time. TNA could even bring in Joey Ryan separate from this too.

why are people moanin about another rivarly between n jj i mean hbk n hhh had loads of rivalries with each other bt they had some brilliant matches bt so has double j n sting
