Who Should Be The Next General Manager of Raw?

20-1 Taker

Dark Match Jobber
Well eventually John Laurenitus has to go...

And when he does we need a KICK-ASS G.M. to run RAW to possibly make everything interesting again...

But a couple questions have to be asked...

1. Will it be a Male or a Female
2. Will the G.M. Be known
3. Will they be a Heel or a Face
4. And will the G.M. be a past WWE/F Superstar

Personally I think the G.M. should be... Drum Roll Please...

:drummer:

STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN

HE would be the best choice to me because he is a no nonsense person... He will just act on instinct and do a great job and possibly bring us back to the Attitude Era!!!

Your thoughts and suggestions please I would love to know who you think!!!

GM Punk GM Punk GM Punk!!!

Actually I wanna see a tweener like Austin. Not someone who has the I just don't give a fuck attitude as Austin but a guy who sometimes sides with the faces and sometimes with the heels.

The GM should either be

(1) Triple H- This is my first pick. I still think they can go the route of Triple H being the heel CEO vs. the face CM Punk.

(2) JBL- He has always been my favorite candidate for the GM role. He's a classic devious villain.

(3) Michael Cole- If it gets him off the commentary booth, I'm all for it.

(4) Bret Hart- We never truly got to experience him as General Manager. I'd like to see how he'd do.

(5) Arn Anderson- Why not? He's a legend, he's great on the mic and he has a respectable aura around him. I think he'd be great.

No one. No RAW GM.

Im tired of seeing someone "in control" when we all know that they are not fully in control.

The GM bit has become stale and overused. If we had a nice break for a year or so, THEN there could be a GM. Im just tired of the changing of the guard every so often.

Teddy Long is has overstayed his welcome on Smackdown as well.

How about we try to focus on the positives and try to think of ways are current GM can make raw entertaining. Focusing on the next RAW GM is like trying to predict who is going to win next years Super Bowl.

Chris Jericho because RAW IS JERICHO!

Besides the catch phrase, he is great on the mic, he can play heel or face, and he wouldn't have to wrestle much. I'd like to see Edge come back and be the SD GM. Edge helped make SD a big deal. I think it would be great to have these two guys as GM's. Possibly Jericho as a heel and Edge as a face so there is a bit of a rivalry between brands for PPVs like Bragging Rights and Survivor Series.

People are still thinking about the GM? I quit caring about who the GM is back when the stupid laptop storyline kept dragging on. Even now, i could care less who the GM is. So if that time comes and they actually announce a full time GM, it won't be a surprise, I'll just think big deal.

Well the "current GM" is an interim, which by definition means he's only a fill in for the role. Plus, John Laurinaitas has no business being on TV whatsoever.

I think the next Raw GM should be- MICHAEL COLE!

I actually thought that the anonymous "Raw" GM would turn out to be Michael Cole (since he read the GM's messages), but they discountinued that storyline.

However, Cole as GM has potential. He could help Miz and Del Rio to the title, and screw over Daniel Bryan constantly and others he hates constantly.

Also, it would stop him from being annoying on commentary.

I have one name for you, EDGE!!! He would be the best GM ever. I think he would better at SD instead of RAW. But either way it would be great.

My first choice was Edge. Seemed the perfect choice since he was forced by injury out of his wrestling role. He could be the guy that could side with either heels or faces. It wouldn't surprise me though if Edge was happy sitting at home for a while and not into coming back. Second choice would be Hbk just because I miss him being on tv all the time..

The GM should be MICHAEL HAYES aka Dok Hendrix ..

This guy knows how work people up and talk. Always enjoyed listening to him on the legends of wrestling shows.

Yeah the whole concept of CEOs, Commisioners, GMs, Chiefs, Sheriffs, Powers That Be, Grand Poobahs, or whatever the hell we're calling them has been beaten into the ground. We've seen all there is to do with it. It's time to move on instead of trying to catch lightning in a bottle. You're not gonna make another Stone Cold Steve Austin.

ok, let me first say that i agree with one of them and disagree with one of them and i will get to that in a sec. FIRST though, someone mentioned Edge as GM, i agree, EXCEPT, have him on Smackdown replacing Long. that would be much better. as for the RAW GM, i do NOT like the Cole idea at all. i understand that heel Cole isnt bad, but i think as GM, he would just be turn the TV type of GM and just annoy me to the point that it gives me a headache, BUT JBL is one i have liked. 1) he knows wrestling......2) he's been a champion and 3) his character as JBL at first played the part of a crooked politician so it fits him. i think JBL would be a great RAW GM.

Teddy long and john laurinaitass are the worst at what they do. Teddy has a pervert gimmick. With aksana and the bellas. John has an awful voice. Hopefully the 1/2/12/ guy will take him out. The perfect raw GM would be stone cold steave austin. And smack down GM should be edge.

I for one, truly wish these videos were all aimed at a gm return, and most of you may disagree with me, but I would absolutely love to see an Eric Bishoff return. Like him or hate him, he was one hell of a GM.

I think it would be cool if they did something a little retro and had Stephanie Mcmahon as gm and helped triple H for one last title run and then retiring at mania and HHH and stephanie run raw for a while

I think Austin would be a great candidate for GM. His presence alone would be a huge draw for the show. Old school fans will turn in to see him back, and the IWC will potentially get their CM Punk vs Austin feud. Austin knows how to entertain a crowd whether he is in the ring or not. When we get bored of a generic heel's rantngs, we'd be woken back up whenever we hear the glass shatter or see a stunner.

Another good candidate is Mick Foley. He would be a big draw as well and is one of the best talkers in wrestling history. He won't take bullshit from anyone either. Plus, in the event that he ever gets stale, he still has 3 other personas that they could use.

Triple H would make a good heel GM. He is already an authoritative figure as well. The problem is that he is the current COO and that it would be redundant to make him GM.

Jericho would probably make a decent GM but I would much rather see him in the ring. As a GM he would be able to produce entertaining segments though. This would help a CM Punk vs Jericho feud as well.

If we're being realistic...I'd say Jim Ross for Smackdown gm - that is....if they even intend on Smackdown being a stand-alone show. The reality is, Smackdown and Raw shouldn't be split any more, and there shouldn't be 2 world champions. It's long over-due. The best solution, at this stage, is for CM Punk to win DBryan's belt and unify it - THE WWE WORLD HEAVY WEIGHT TITLE. Then merge the brands, and then u don't need to have the stupid "supershow" gimmick.

Have them finish this wrestlemania first tho. Too much is invested in it; but the sad reality is Rocky ain't showin up after Mania 28 - so they better plan well. Otherwise, there's going to be great ratings leading to Mania, and then the jackhammer known as summer will hit WWE and everything's down hill from there.

The obvious choice of RAW General Manager is Jim Ross.
He is respected indistry wide, would be impartial and give fans want they want to see.
Austin was GM in 2003, dont need that again. It needs to be a non wrestler who has the presence to be believable as a GM and Jim Ross is the man.

I like Stone Cold hosting Tough Enough, LOL. How about someone who may be close to retiring soon or might have just reited? Sadly I don't think Rey is long for the next generation of wrestling. Despite what all you guys say, I love this guy every time he comes out and maybe he can be a good GM of RAW.

Crazy idea, but y'know, take it with a pinch of salt.

Crazy idea indeed. I have one to. With someone close to retiring to. But first, before his last match, his gimmick need to change a little bit... to be more bad ass than dark and get back on a bike. The Undertaker as GM of RAW, LOL.

I would love it to also be Stone Cold Steve Austin, he wouldn't take rubbish of anyone and I think he could also bring back the attitude era which would be awesome!
Or I'd like to be Stephanie or Shane McMahon, I think that would be interesting.

I think if they were to get a new GM of Raw as John Lauranitis is only the Interim GM of Raw, I think it should be Stephanie McMahon, she was great at the time of when she was Smackdown GM, or as said above J.R. would be a great GM of Raw, might even do us all a favor and fire that worthless idiot Michael Cole.
