I don't even need to rank everything on 1-10 like I usually do to tell you that CM Punk is better than John Morrison. Punk is one of the best on the mic in the business today and is above average in the ring. Morrison's in-ring ability is great and all but he doesn't have the mic skills or charisma to rival CM Punk in this question

Punk. he is the better in ring worker, the better promo, and overall more interesting person of the two. Morrison does some cool stuff in the ring but other than that, he has a finisher that he can't ever connect with, shares a signature move with Cody Rhodes, and has the personality of a boiled potato. Before I start off I have to just say CM punk (to me) is better than Jomo by MILES!!!!

In Ring Skills - CM punk by alot. To me morrison is just a spot monkey and botches a fair amount. I'm way more entertained when I see punk wrestle. Plus he actually can wrestle along with being entertaining. His moveset, submission holds are all superior to morrison.

Mic Skills CM punk by far. Morrison is very boring and stale and puts me to sleep when he talks. Punk gets right to it and can cut a great heel/face promo. Loved his rants on being S.E.S. and nexus. His "no mic" work in ROH was also some great stuff.

Charisma CM punk again. I don't see much in morrison, but punk you can tell he has charisma.

Accomplishments Again it goes to CM punk. I'm not saying being in the indy's is a major accomplishment but punk has done alot of good shit in ROH. Good/great matches, feuds, had good title reigns in WWE and does the entertainment thing well. Heel or face the guy gets cheered. Morrison hasn't done much and comparing him to HBK is just sad. He was good when he was with joey mercury but thats about it. Oh and good GIMMICK tag team with miz but thats all.

Louder Reaction CM punk definitely. Whether he's a face or heel he gets cheered and gets great heat. His good mic skills helps alot. Morrison gets a solid pop at times but recently hes just been bleh.

Overall Like I said, CM punk wins by miles in everything (just compared to morrison.) He's one of my favorites right now for both his wrestling skills and entertainment. I see him becoming a bigger star. Sorry morrison fans but he doesn't do much for me. Pointless spots, bad mic skills...and just comes off bad and boring to me.

I just don't really like Punk at all. He was much better as the leader of Straight Edge Society with the Manson like persona. He started that with the New Nexus but it has miserably failed.

I liked Morrison better in his original tag team MNM with Melina. Since then, he's been buried in the pack. Just sucks when you think of how the WWE has decimated the tag division. Could have been some major matchups between MNM, Hardy Boys, Team 3D, the current tag champs in Corre, Edge and Christian together again, etc.

CM Punk has such a great knowledge of wrestling. He shows it in the ring, and on the mic.

His skills are great, and I really enjoy his work. It's top notch. The WWE is lucky to have a guy like that in the WWE. Plus, he is his own character. He created it. The WWE did a little bit of work on it, but he has been doing the CM Punk character/gimmick for years.

John Morrison can do so much in the ring. And that's about it. I turn the channel if he has to cut a promo. Plus, his best days were him and Melina were heels. I thought it went over very well. Too bad that two had too much drama to work professionally. Then again, I hear the two are dating again.

If Morrison stuck with that original gimmick. That mid-card heel, with a hot, mean, sexy bitch that we loved to watch, but hated to see. I think his career would of shot up! Then again, if he didn't fail a drug test and got suspended when he was doing the ECW run, he might of done something better with his career... again. Or, if he they didn't split him from the Miz. Dear goodness... I hope someone gets it. This guy has more opportunities to do something amazing with his career, and it falls short every time.

But that isn't the point. The point is, who is better. Hands Down! CM Punk. The poll even says it!

It's Punk, hands-down. I don't see where JoMo is better in a single category. Hell, even JoMo's finisher is weak.

I see CM Punk headlining PPVs for the next few years. I see JoMo being the opening act in those PPVs. One's a current & future superstar - the other is a career mid-carder, at best.

This is a cakewalk.

In Ring Skills: CM Punk. He has a wide range of moves that parallel aerial and technical. He has a good finisher (GTS) and a good submission move (Anaconda Vise). He also brings a lot of intensity to his moves, which makes them look painful. John Morrison may have a slight advantage in entertainment factor with his moves, but they're spot fests at best. There's not much fluidity involved in how the moves are transitioned either. He barely ever hits his finisher correctly (Starship Pain).

Mic Skills: CM Punk. He's a natural at the stick. Each of his major feuds have showcased his mic skills to great degrees. From his feud with Jeff Hardy to his feud with Rey Mysterio to his feud with John Cena to his feud with Randy Orton, he has consistently shown that he can talk and make people believe what he's saying. This has also given him considerable praise for his commentary. Also, just watch how good he is in the Royal Rumble 2010 match. John Morrison can't talk. Okay, maybe he can, but it's not natural. There's discomfort there. He still has a long way to go before he can reach CM Punk's level.

Charisma: CM Punk. Look at how well he uses his Straight Edge gimmick/lifestyle to his advantage. He can play it off well as a face and a heel. That takes some serious talent. John Morrison has some charisma, but they're almost exclusively intertwined with his flashy moves/appearance. There's nothing there that sets him apart from everyone else and naturally ignites excitement from presence or interaction alone.

Accomplishments: CM Punk. He's a former ROH World Champion and former OVW Heavyweight Champion. The guy was popular in the Indy circuit before even arriving in the WWE. Once he came to the WWE, he became a three-time World Heavyweight Champion and one-time ECW Champion. He has been World Champion both inside and outside of the WWE. He has also beaten top stars. John Morrison on the other hand has won the Intercontinental Championship and Tag Team Championship a couple of times, and his biggest accomplishment was the ECW Championship. It's not as impressive as CM Punk.

Louder Reaction: CM Punk. Although John Morrison gets a nice face pop every now and then, it's very limited to his spot fest style rather than for his character. CM Punk genuinely knows how to get pop and heat.

Overall: CM Punk. He has the 'it' factor. He has the charisma, mic skills and the accomplishments. John Morrison still needs improvement in all these areas. Well, actually, to be a bit fair, John Morrison just needs a major upgrade in his mic skill ability.

This one is such a landslide for the Straight Edge Superstar it's not even much of a contest.

In Ring Skills: This one I'm actually going to leave at a tie for both Punk and Morrison. Unfortunately, the two have such different styles it's not fair to compare/contrast them. Punk is definitely the more technically sound of the two, but Morrison's ability to captivate and wow an audience with moves can't be discredited either. Just look at Morrison's performance in the Royal Rumble.

Mic Skills: Punk in a landslide. John Morrison definitely needs more mic time and practice if he's ever going to be seen as a threat to the World title. What happened to the days when Morrison seemed to carry The Miz in their tag team days, largely in part due to his ring skills and mic skills? Miz has definitely far surpassed Morrison, improved his game, while Morrison seems to have been on a decline since the split. However, Punk can use the stick to perfection even through poorly written storylines, like the New Nexus fiasco. The reason Orton/Punk worked so well was because of Punk's mic skills, and this largely carried the feud leading into WrestleMania. Punk has that ability to grab the audience and make them eat out of the palm of his hand.

Accomplishments: CM Punk in a landslide. Multiple time World Heavyweight Champion, Intercontinental Champion, Tag Team Champion, ECW Champion, 2x Money in the Bank winner. Morrison: ECW Champion, Tag Team Champion, Intercontinental Champion. No contest.

Charisma: I'm going to say Punk, but just by a little. Punk just oozes charisma. However, the Prince of Parkour is very charismatic as well.

Louder Reaction: Depends on the moment. While CM Punk may get louder reactions during his entrance and promos, Morrison can definitely wow a crowd and get a great reaction with the stunts he can perform in the ring. However, when he's on the mic, when he's entering the ring, I don't usually hear much reaction from the crowd for him. So I'm giving CM Punk the nod here again.

Overall: Obviously, Punk in a landslide. Morrison is just not quite there to be compared to Punk at this point. John Morrison has potential to make it, there are things he needs to work on. Morrison could truly shine if he is turned heel and can allow his cockiness and persona from his ECW days shine through. Be jealous!!

CM Punk wins in every category unless there's one for "Spot Monkey".

The Straight Edge Superstar is a level above Morrison, you could've picked superstars like; Daniel Bryan, Sheamus, Evan Bourne or even The Miz to a certain extent. In comparison with CM Punk you could've picked arguable cases like; John Cena, Edge or Randy Orton.

Even though I haven't enjoyed Punk as much with the New Nexus nonsense, he is better than Morrison in every conceivable way.

Inside the ropes Punk has the better overall moveset and he's the better worker. I don't think anyone has a more balance arsenal than him. Morrison is good in this category too, but he needs a new finisher badly, he only landed SSP smoothly on 1 out of 20 tries and his current finisher is simply lame.

On the mic, CM Punk is probably the best in the business (since Jericho is on hiatus). He doesn't have many trademark sayings, but he feels right at home with a mic in is hand and he always delivers solid promos. I can't remember the last time I heard anything compelling from JoMo.

In terms of accomplishment, Punk has won multiple World Titles while Morrison hasn't won any yet.

I'm gonna have to give Punk the edge in Charisma too. He can manipulate the crowd like very few can. JoMo is no slouch in this area though, as he can do stunts that even a movie can do and not make look that good.

Crowd reaction is a bit tough because Morrison's unique moves can generate some of the best reactions you'll hear on any given night. But CM Punk can consistently draw good reactions through his mat work, promos, and other segments, so he wins this category for me too.

Overall, the obvious winner is Flash Funk.

I love both of these guys but i had to give it to punk. hes a solid worker, is great on the mic, wherever he goes he can get great heat or great pops, has more world titles (and titles in general) than jomo, and being one of the top heels in the business today, he can generate an amazingly overwhelming reaction. Punk is an all around great superstar, but John Morrison is also a great worker as well.

In Ring Skills: Morrison- Never a dull moment when Morrison is in the ring. CM Punk is probably a better technical wrestler but I like Morrison's spots and he's very entertaining in the ring. And as much as you guys say Morrison botches his moves...Punk botches the GTS all the time.
Mic Skills: Definitely Punk. Although Morrison was really not bad when he was a heel- like when he was the ECW champion a few years ago. He needs a new gimmick other than just "the Prince of Parkour"
Charisma: Punk

Sheamus is still in his prime. Also, CM Punk has victories over Jeff Hardy, Rey Mysterio, Undertaker, Kane, Chris Jericho, Edge, JBL, John Cena and Randy Orton. That's a lot of former World Champions he's beaten.

Yeah Sheamus is still in his prime even though he's being dumped on now. CM punk has much more credible accomplishments than morrison but thats just my opinion on that. The ROH stuff mixed with whats he's done in WWE. Jomo is just a spot monkey with a bad gimmick, bad finisher and bad mic skills. I can't see him being main event material plus all in all he's not a good wrestler.

You seem to of created this thread to simply bury Morrison. I like both guys and will agree CM Punk is better in pretty much every department, apart from obviously high flying moves and amazing spots where Morrison can really wow the crowd, something which Punk doesn't do.

This was an easy one... CM Punk is easily a better superstar. He is also arguably smarter and absolutely more experienced in all aspects. However, in the answer to this thread lies the answer to another question...
What would make John Morrison a better superstar?/What would help optimize his limitless potential?
Answer:A complete and extended feud between these two superstars!
Now is the perfect opportunity. Morrison (face) won his fued with Sheamus, but lost to the Miz... and his Road to WrestleMania was lackluster, but the match was won... good booking could easily rebound Morrison directly into position to feud with the next heel up the ladder if he can get past Ziggler... and that make the timing good for a program with CM Punk going into SummerSlam. A feud with CM Punk would definitely make him step up his game and make him look a little better, as well as possibly win over some of you who think he's merely a spot monkey. He can regain his mic chops and put on some great matches the Punk... That is if he is put over Ziggles...

CM punk is one of the most established guys in wrestling, a lot of indy success and wwe success jomo and punk are similar age but punk has much more experiene, thatswhy hes so great but jomo does not suck, hes innovative and great in the ring, far more than a spot monkey...people who say that must just troll on him and never watch his matches because hes great in the ring. Punk is better than morrison at this point but morrison is getting better and better everytime a new face gets a push the IWC trolls bash them and try to bury them have you heard jomos pops?
