Reigns with a bullet - This is a guy who has been manufactured to be a wrestler, rather than having natural ability and it shows. He genuinely is the worst 2nd Generation guy since Sim Snuka and David Sammartino, has no real timing or "feel", just gets fed people. Vince overrates him so thus he is put where he is on the card.
Ziggler - Long felt Ziggler is overrated, to the point of it being almost embarrasing he his so over. His biggest issue has always been safety, the Barrett injury, giving himself concussions, he's a career ender, either his own or someone elses... he's now in that awkward spot where even with a new deal, he is on 2 concussion strikes, one more and they'll pull the plug.
Orton - He has long been overrated to the point of it actually tarnishing his future legacy. Orton looks bored 90% of the time, when he gets bored, he acts up... when he acts up, WWE seem to tolerate it more than with other people. Does he have something on someone? or are they too scared of if they do cut him loose that it might ignite something over at ROH or TNA/GFW? From Randy's perspective, he's the guy who'd most benefit from a year or two away from the WWE/biz/ let us miss him... Ability wise he's grown a lot but he's still not even a top 30 worker of all time, which is pretty damning considering the position he's held for over a decade.
Past - Steve Austin - Before you all jump down my throat, think about it. Stunning Steve/early Stone Cold was amazing in the ring and as an all rounder. In that period between KOTR 96 and Summerslam 97 there was literally nobody better in the business as a complete package. Then Owen fucked up...
The Austin AFTER that injury was one dimensional, limited and increasingly lazy, where he was once an amazing talker who could make lines like "Put the S in front of Hitman..." fly became someone who just said "What?" again, and again...and again... His matches were barely recognisable as matches by the end, yet he is canonised and people seem desperate for more of that... Austin is smart enough to KNOW what I am saying is probably true, he knows he wasn't the same and that 13 years later isn't gonna be good, fun or worth it. Austin was the guy who "reinvigorated" and turned the tide in the war, but ultimately The Rock is the guy who is gonna go down as the most successful wrestler EVER... not just in the ring but outside of it... Austin gets that credit when the reality is it is not deserved over Dwayne... A lot of people know who Stone Cold is... but the vast majority of the world now know who Dwayne is, and that he is/was a wrestler as well as an actor.
