Which Former Wrestlers Would Fit in the Wyatt Family?

Heath Slater's Trainer

Dark Match Jobber
The new addition of the beast Braun Strowman has got me thinking about who else would be a good addition to the Wyatt's. As I thought to myself, I realized most people I was thinking would fit in don't even wrestle anymore, and some are even deceased at this point, but if they were around and in active competition at the same time as the Wyatt family, they would've been perfect fits. The main guy that comes to my mind is the Earthquake John Tenta. This guy had some awesome feuds with Hogan and Jake the Snake, and he proved to have a very unique skill set compared to other big men. He has the look for the Wyatt family, bit he's not just some generic big dude. He's got the yellow crooked teeth, the menacing scowl and the receded hairline that makes him look like he would have no problem living on the woods with the family. And he was very agile for a guy as huge as him as well. Very intimidating in all the big feuds he was in, and he always gave off a feeling that he was a total douche with no remorse, especially killing Damien. If he had no problem killing animals, he'd enjoy delivering pain to the Wyatt's enemies with ease. So, who do you think from the past would fit in with the stable?

There is only 1 person who was a former wrestler who I feel would fit in with the Wyatt Family...

Me <-- Waylon Mercy

Waylon Mercy's promos were rediculously awesome. A tweak in his gimmick would have been perfect. He had the size, the look and the facial mannerisms to look psychotic. The gimmick of the 90's was too friendly for the Wyatt Family, however, a lot of elements from Bray Wyatt can be associated with Waylon Mercy.

Kevin Sullivan would have easily worked as the "patriarch" or something along those lines. He was much more sadistic than Bray Wyatt and had the same kind of character. He made his career off of leading "cultist" groups.

Raven's another guy that could have worked as Bray's helper. Man, these two together would have been absolute gold.

I would have loved to see what Bray Wyatt would have done with George "The Animal" Steele. That family dynamic would have played right with Wyatt's control and Steele's animalism. This would have worked.

I'm serious and joking here -- honestly, only a JOBBER would fit in the Wyatt Family -- past or present or future wrestler. No member of that family has done anything of note, and those guys are nothing more than people who ultimately do run-ins for the ever-boring Bray Wyatt, or guys who just stand behind Bray while he does his routine 10 minute same old same old boredom promo.

Bray Wyatt's worth to WWE is highly debatable, but what isn't debatable is that anyone who's been associated with him hasn't added up to much.

I actually agree with the jobber statement. I am indifferent on the Wyatt's as I love Luke Harper, and think that Bray Wyatt is amazing on the mic. However I find the act boring and stagnant.

Anyways, I would add Brooklyn Brawler and Bunkhouse Buck to the Wyatt's. To dirty jobbers who can sit in the background and run interference just to get the beat down deserved for Wyatt and Harper

Mideon had the look to be in the Wyatt's for sure. I don't know why, but if they changed his persona a little bit to be more 'out there,' I could see Viscera as weird part of the family too.

Isis the Amazon or Aloisa or whatever they called her would have been an incredible sister abigail, can you imagine her taking out Team Bella followed by whoever the hell she wanted to coz she was a freaking beast?

I say turn the Wyatt Family into a series on the WWE Network. Just imagine how many old gimmicks could be recycled for that. Steve Keirn could return as Skinner. TL Hopper would fit right in. A pre-Kane Glen Jacobs could be the town dentist. Honestly, the possibilities are endless! The older gimmicks could be town regulars in the Louisiana swamps where the show could take place. WWE stars from the past and present could visit from time to time. I'm just sayin'.....

Well a HEEL Hillbilly Jim would have fit in for starters. Daphne and Crowbar from WCW would have fit in really well. I think we need to see Bray feud with someone and kind of Wyatt-ize them like they tried to do with Daniel Bryan. Can you imagine Randy Orton feuding with Bray only to be kidnapped by the family. You see SAW-LIKE/Clockwork orangesque videos of Randy tied up in the Wyatt's lair hopeless in the dark. Screaming for help. A month or 2 goes by and even the Authority threaten Bray with legal matters Search and Seizure type of stuff that IF they don't present Randy Orton back by certain PPV they're going to press criminal charges against the Wyatts. Randy Orton is a cashcow for The Authority whether they like him or not he brings people into the seats and sells ppvs $$$. A few weeks leading up to the PPV they can show promos of Randy Orton's momentous Return. HHH & Steph call out Bray at the PPV. Bray comes down by himself and says that it was difficult to get Randy here. That they didn't see eye-to-eye, but they've reconciled their differences and that you can never look a snake, a viper in the Eyes because you know he's eventually going to bite you. However, Cobras used to be tamed by flutes and the best way to tame a Viper is through FEAR. Bray has shown Randy Orton the WAY. Bray has goosebumps because he wants the WWE Universe to witness not the SAME old, same old Randy Orton, but THE BEST Randy Orton that could ever be. "Voices" hits and the lights dim. Randy Orton emerges as he makes his way to the ring. The lights turn up. Orton has a big beard w/his signature crewcut wearing an A-shirt and jeans. He hugs HHH and kisses Stephanie on the cheek. He then proceeds to pose on the apron. HHH asks Randy if he's ok. Has he looked in the mirror lately? Randy grabs the mic, but RKO's HHH. Then, RKO's Stephanie after she checks on HHH. Orton kneels down by their unconscious bodies and Bray picks up the mic. Puts his hand on Orton's shoulder and says "Randy follows the buzzards...now!! Ahhahahah"

Henry O. Godwin and Phineas I. Godwin would've fit right in as heels, as would Hillbilly Jim. Jacob and Eli Blu(the Harris twins) also would've been a great fit for the Wyatt Family.

I was also going to say the Godwins. They could be the team's tag specialists. Besides, who doesn't miss the Slop Drop? I also think Rhyno would be a good fit.

I've got a more "out there" choice - Sycho Sid. Imagine Sid with a huge, bushy blonde beard? It would have looked so weird. But Sid was always a great powerhouse type wrestler, and was big enough to dwarf Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper, and would be able to overpower Braun Strowman with ease. Sid would be the guy who is so crazy, even Bray Wyatt wouldn't be able to control him for long, and would dismantle the Family after beating them all.

I don't think the requirements for the Wyatt Family needs to be "big beard" or "extremely tall". There's already Harper, Stowman and maybe Rowan for that....I'd like to see The Wyatt's add a smaller, more sinister type of character who offers something different than the bearded giants and gives the "family" a different dimension. Or perhaps just a more evil, sadistic character.

I think Mankind could have been a fantastic Wyatt Family member in his original, disturbed character. He could have been portrayed as the twisted, psychotic and mentally unstable brother of Luke Harper who'd been disowned by his parents as a child and grew up in the forests without even knowing his name, becoming scarred and disfigured following run-ins with wild animals.

The Wyatt's could have found him and taken him in, but kept him locked in a cage most of the time, treating him more like an animal than a human being, and leading to his almost pet-like worship of Bray Wyatt. His ring entrance could have been him being wheeled to the ring in a cage or led to the ring on a leash before he gets released and goes to sit in the corner doing his usual "rocking" action.

What do you think? I think it would have been perfect.

If Dan Spivey was a little younger at the time and hadn't been injured that character could have really made an impact.

The first name that came to my mind was Bruiser Brody , he had the look, the size and the vicious streak that fits the Wyatt's perfectly. For a more contemporary pick who is actively wrestling I would go with James Storm. I could see him fitting in with the Wyatts.

Brody would've been great..Closest we're ever getting to Brody is Luke Harper in terms of his semi-resemblance to Brody, plus his unpredictable behavior.

The Missing Link could definitely have been a member of the Wyatt Family..Now he was one of the old school "crazy" wrestlers and played the gimmick perfectly..A character like The Missing Link could definitely make the Wyatt Family more formidable. For people who don't remember his character, he was managed by Bobby Heenan and Jimmy Hart(during his WWF run), he painted his face mostly blue and green, shaved most of the front half of his hair off and destroyed his opponents. Like George Steele, The Missing Link usually wouldn't cut promos. I'd loved to have seen The Missing Link with an updated, extremely demented character as a part of the Wyatt Family.

Here's a match where The Missing Link literally beats a jobber with a turnbuckle.

I would probably have Jake "The Snake" involved in some fashion, almost like a mentor or crazy uncle. Snitsky if given the right angle, he could be a monster for them as well.

I'm surprised Jake the Snake wasn't the obvious choice in this thread. Am I the only one who notices that BW (Bray Wyatt) wears wrestling boots similar to those Jake use to wear to the ring? And from a persona standpoint, Jake would definitely be a perfect fit.
