Where were you when the Twin Towers collapsed? -Sixth grade switching classes. Some kid told me in the hall and I didn't believe him, so I asked my teacher and she said, yeah, it's wild! At the time, I don't think we really knew what was going on or how big it was.
Jonny Wilkinson/O'gara scored that Drop-Goal?- Well that was 2003, so I was 13 and had no idea what rugby was besides the game where my dad almost lost his leg, so I don't know.

When Obama won the election?- Watching the election coverage in my friends dorm room on Comedy Central. When he was announced the winner we went out and had a huge like, parade type thing and walked all around Boston.

At school, in the 6th grade I think. Maybe 5th. I remember my friend Jeff said "You hear about the WTC?" and I hadn't. I went into the GT room, say the news, and was awestruck. Couldn't believe it.

I heard about it days later. I was in the summer of my 10th grade that year, I do believe. That means I was probably working out in the yard, burning trees and the like. Or i was moving. I forget when I moved into the city.

When Obama won the election?

I was in my dorm, cheering my ass off. Oh, and I was combating the various people who refused to give him longer than 5 minutes before whining and complaining about how the US is gonna be bombed to hell. That was annoying.

When Princess Diana died?

I was...5? Maybe? I just remember sitting there watching it with my mom. She wouldn't change the channel. Princess Di was a great woman like that.

7/7 - In Spain. A Spanish woman in a shop told us and we didn't believe her, so we went to find an English bar to watch the news and there it was. Que lots of phone calls to everyone I know, just in case they happened to go to London that morning.

Obama - Um, asleep probably. I don't know.

Diana - At home. I didn't understand, but my mum got really upset.

Benoit - At home. I turned on my computer one morning and a friend told me on msn. I didn't believe him but when I checked it out I was crying for hours.

My senior year in high school...was in math class. Goofy girl ran into the room saying the 'world was ending'. I turned on the TV, and watched both towers collapse. No one said a word. I was scared.

Working at Wal-Mart. Seen the win as it happened though. I teared up.

I had my radio on during the night to help me sleep, I went to tinkle, heard the DJ at the radio station I was listening to break the news from the BBC that Princess Di had died in a car accident...the DJ cried...saying 'We've lost Princess Di.'
I was shocked...and watched the CNN coverage the entire week.
