Where should Dixie Carter stand in all of this?

This is a person we have seen very little of during the Hogan/Bischoff takeover. Eventually, she is bound to make an iMPACT (pun intended), and I think she should make her presence known on March 8th on the next head to head show.

This is more so of a "What would you do with Dixie" type of thread, but feel free to add what you think they may actually do with her, as well.

I am simply curious what you feel is the best way that Dixie Carter should be booked.

Would you make her a Face aligning with Hogan (since the two have been seen together a number of times)?

Would you make her a Heel who makes a deal with Eric Bischoff ... (who perhaps simply used Hogan to bring her company into the limelight)?

Or would you try to prolong making her a Face or Heel, and make her a mysterious character who's intentions simply are not known? In other words, just give fans just enough of her to make her interesting, yet be purposefully vague in discovering her true intentions and motivations?

And then there is the other option .... just don't put her on TV or make her a character at all?

How would YOU book Dixie (or not book her) to get the maximum bang for your buck in making interesting television to combat the WWE?

Obviously, even though her acting may not be the greatest according to some who have judged her already from her few appearances (I personally think we need to see more of her first), I feel that she should be an On Air character.

She is someone who despite not being a great actress, still has immediate credibility because she truly is the President of TNA. And obviously the fans are aware of this.

I feel that she should be a person that pops in from time to time, and I would go with making her a vague character, in not knowing what her true intentions are, for as long as I could. Eventually, she would be a solid Face, Tweener, or Heel ... and I would likely make her a Tweener character, that simply wants the best for her company.

But I definitely would tease her siding with either Hogan, Bischoff, Jarrett, Mick, and so forth to make for interesting television. But unlike making her the female version of Vince McMahon, I think she needs to be differentiated from him. That is why I think Tweener Dixie Carter, who is simply motivated by the success of her company, and someone who acts like a true Corporate persona simply brought to life, would be the best bet.

Have her come in and remind Hogan/Bischoff that she is the boss. Tell Hogan that he needs to stop bringing his buddies in to wrestle against the young talent in TNA who deserve better. Have her tell Bischoff that as much as she respects him that he needs to back off and stop being so controlling of the superstars and matches. Basically just a reality check, that Hogan and Bischoff do NOT run TNA, and that her word is final, not theirs. Sort of breaking kayfabe, but not really.

I don't know, personally I don't want her as a TV character. I'm content on knowing who the president is but not involved. If they feel the need to use her on TV use her in a way say like if they sign RVD. Maybe show Bischoff and Hogan approaching her about the opportunity to sign him. Then on the next episode show her talking contract with RVD. Show her being the President of a company not being a female Vince McMahon.

This is how she fits in. UNLESS TNA is going to build it this way after reading what I am going to tell you or they are like crap someone knows already.

With everything going on Dixie going by what Hogan/Bischoff is doing getting sucked in by what they are doing. Once she tries or everytime she suggest something, they either ignore her or shoot her down saying what does. This woman knows about the business. Saying after a probation period we made things better for TNA in the contract they signed they now get full rights of TNA. Making them the heels. They are then going to sweep the carpet away from here and leave her high and dry with a takeover. Think of it this way.....

The main story line that took Nitro and WCW to new highs was the hell turn of Hulk Hogan. Hogan and Biscoff together made everyone hate (but love at the same time) WCW to make it popular. This will happen again.

When it does Dixie will have to do the one thing she did not want to do and that is get back in the good graces of TNA FOUNDER Jeff Jarrett (who the fans will always see as the real owner of TNA) realizing that it was a mistake to bring Hogan and company in she will beg for him to fight the fight for her and "her company". Jeff will turn her down time after time. Only the tide will turn when Jeff says yes only if you give me full control once it is all said and done.

Right now fans are 50/50 as it is and ONLY HOGAN and Bischoff can make the fans love her or hate her. Based on what they do. This is a storyline that could or be already in the works.

I personally wouldn't use her as a character on TV. Every time I've seen her on TV or the 'Net, she's come across as someone that just doesn't get it. Kinda like Mike Adamle, only she has real power. She wouldn't be involved in TNA if it hadn't been for the friendship that she had with Jeff Jarrett, and at one time, she even said that she didn't want to become an on-screen character.

I would not use her one bit. You have Bischoff that can play the role that she would take much better than anyone in the business, including Vince McMahon.

You know I think JJohns has said it right. I'm tired of seeing these "Authority Figures" and these "General Managers" take up TV time. What is this? Walmart Management TV?

To me, these storylines of these people being power-hungry and abusing their power is stale. Like they use their power so you can stay interested in them instead of the wrestlers. I want to see the wrestlers take matters into their own hands in the ring, not these managers and "tyrants" walking around in their suits so they can make themselves seem important.

She doesn't need to be involved at all as an on air character i mean we already have two Authority Figures in TNA with Hogan and Bischoff which is one to many in my opinion we sure as hell don't need a third. She should just stick to making big announcements here and there and that's it and from what little i have seen of her on TV she doesn't seem to have any charisma to speak of. She just needs to stay in the background and write the checks and that's it.

To be honest, I've got no real desire to see Dixie Carter on television all that much, if at all really. Granted she's a true milf in every sense of the word, but there are already a number of beautiful women on TNA television and two authority figure characters on right now. So, at this point, adding her just feels redundant to me, like adding a third wheel to a bike.

I still remember being somewhat surprised the first time I saw Dixie at how attractive she was. She might not be an Angelina Love (or a Daffney... RAWR), but she is quite the MILF.

I think though, that if she is given a prominent on screen authority role, it would have to be done very carefully. If she is made the ultimate authority figure, it undermines Hogan and The Bisch. It could also re-create the debacle of having Jarrett, Foley and Cornette all be authority figures, with no clear cut method of identifying who is running the show.

Ultimately, I think it will come down to two main points: 1) With Hogan appearing to play the face and The Bisch playing the heel, it seems like a power struggle is inevitable. In this case, I think that Dixie could be inserted either on one side or the other, or if used sparingly, as an arbitrator to keep things moving. 2) While a flawed comparison, you could look to the WWE to see how it can play out. As a face, she could be likened to Linda McMahon. Over the top "good guy" that foils the heel(s) in power. Or she could take on the Stephanie McMahon role of a power hungry bitch. I would say that the Stephanie McMahon role is the more interesting of the two, but it's also harder for a woman with limited acting experience to pull off.

The one other option I can think of would to be to go the Vickie Guererro route and attach her to a wrestler and have her use her power and influence to further his career. The only name that pops to mind immediately would be Desmond Wolfe, but even then I'm not sure if it would be to his benefit or not.

I would definitely try and use her though. If it doesn't work out, so be it, no harm done. But the payout of having an attractive business woman that could add a different kind of sex appeal to the show could be pretty good.

I personally don't think Dixie needs to be onscreen much. Having both Hogan and Bischoff as onscreen authority figures works well. However, I recall seeing the cameras focus on Dixie in the audience a few times on Impact recently and she looks disappointed for some reason during Hogan or Bischoff's promos. Perhaps they could have her show up on March 8th during the next Impact that goes head to head with Raw. She could show up and talk about how she is getting disappointed with the direction that TNA has been heading in ever since Bischoff and Hogan showed up. She could be booked as a face trying to do what's best for her federation.... we absolutely don't need to see her in a role similar to Mr McMahon, the "evil heel boss" has been done to death for years. It would be a stretch, but I'd consider having her align with Jarrett as faces against Hogan (who's intentions are unknown) and Bischoff who'd remain a heel. Dixie and Jarrett could try to get control of Impact back or something. Heck, let's add Foley into the mix too, Foley would be on Dixie and Jarrett's side in this.

I prefer her not being an onscreen character at all though. She can show up as herself to make important announcements, like she did when Hogan first joined. That I'm fine with. TNA's got more than enough talent that they don't need to bring Dixie in as an onscreen character. Unless they book her as a face trying to fix all the changes Hogan/Bischoff are trying to make, I'd rather she not be onscreen because she'd be better off just coming in as herself to make important announcements. She may be the president of TNA but she's not that great in promos.... and she could be awful in the ring for all we know.... in fact, her being the TNA president is EXACTLY why she needs to never set foot in the ring for a match, that's the main reason I always hate Vince's matches in WWE.

So.... maybe have Dixie involved with Foley and Jarrett in an angle of trying to fix the changes Hogan and Bischoff make, with her being face because that could be an interesting storyline. Otherwise she should stay offscreen unless she's being seen in the audience looking dissappointed (like she has lately) or making an important announcment onscreen as herself.

Personally I would not use Dixie as a confrontational character, not for her acting but because right now TNA is represented in a way that molds what the WWE has done for years with the GM role. I mean if Dixie gets n what is it going to be? Hulk & EB & the new band VS Dixie and the Originals? Or what? like the MacMahos war at WWE?

I mean, they already has two authotity figures with Hogan and EB, why add another TV character to the mix now? too many persons in Power if you ask me, I thing she should keep the character she is portraying now, being silent and just make the decisions when the time is right, and that is it, not trying to screw the good guys or the bad guys, just be there maybe once every two months with no real inclination to any group.

The only place Dixie Carter should stand is up against the wall in front of me getting ready to have her fine ass destroyed! Other then that there's no need for her to be on TV

I think it would make sense for her to be with Hogan. Since Dixie is the one who brought Hogan in, and wanted him to change TNA, then It would make sense for her to be on his side if Foley and Jarrett start to try and take back control. I don't think Dixie would have to do much, Hulk could do all the talking and she would just be there as an ally who would say a few words every now and then. Every one is already aware of her postion, so it's not like she needs to go out there and prove something. I think Hogan should be the one doing the majority of the talking because from the interviews I've seen with her, and that speech she made to the TNA roster a while back, she doesn't seem to have that much of a personality. I don't think it would be a good idea for her to try and cut promos.

From what I've seen, Dixie is good at being serious, but I don't think she could be evil or nasty, so her as a face would be a better option. It's already been shown from the few times she was on TV that she's clearly in favor of Hogan and not Jarrett. The only way Foley and Jarrett would be able to re gain control is through some type of stipulation match, where the power of TNA is on the line.

I would use her rarely, hardly ever, in fact, and I would stop referring to her so much on TV. Right now, TNA has two authority figures. Presumably Bischoff will turn heel at some point, while Hogan stays face, judging on what we have seen so far. When that happens, Dixie appearing at all will just make it a bit of a clusterfuck, and there's no reason that she wouldn't just fire whichever one she didn't like. Not to mention the fact that she isn't exactly as good as them in the charisma stakes.

She should have a Linda McMahon circa 1999 style role. Largely absent, but when an angle demands it, have her as the force that returns to restore order. One of the best things that Bischoff and Hogan's arrival has done is sort out the whole who's in charge Mick Foley, MEM, Jarrett, Cornette etc. conundrum and given the company a clear hierarchy. Bringing in Dixie would only serve to restore that confusion.
