Whats next for Batista

Occasional Pre-Show
Ok so we all know how crowded the ME scene is on Raw.

So my question is this, When Batista returns, what does he do? Does he go right for the title OR does he go after Orton? Because if Orton still has the title than one would have to assume that HHH, Cena, and possibly HBK will all be in the title picture as well. So, should Batista be able to go right after the title despite all of this and should the WWE put the injury prone Batista ahead of the potential pushes of both Swagger and MVP? Or should he maybe feud with Swagger or MVP to put them over as potential MEers?

Batista will go into a straight feud with Orton. If Orton has the title then, then I guess Batista will be going for a title shot. Orton hurt Batista, and it's only natural for WWE to play up on this and have them battle. That's what they did when Henry did the same. Batista returned and began a feud with Mark Henry.

That's what's going to happen, and whne Batista is done with feuding with Randy Orton, he's going to remain in the main event, and possibly become a numerous champion.

I think he should somehow screw orton out of the title when he returns. Example. HBK vs. Randy orton with Batista as the referee. HBK(or anyone else you want to put in that scenario wins) and a personal feud takes orton and batista out of the title picture. After the dust clears on that then batista should put over some new guys I think that would be a nice transition.

He's going to want his title back. He has that rematch clause. Plus, with HHH, Cena, and possibly HBK in the picture, we can bet to see another Scramble match.

when batista returns he will go straight for orten. I wouldn't be surprised if orten still has the title by then btw can someone quote this and tell me when hes supposed to return i totally forgot thanks

Its only natural if your hurt and once you recouver you automatically want to go straight for the guy that hurt you and you would want to hurt them so they can feel how you felt. Thats my feelings on the subject anyways

Batista should go after orton as that is the typical way of wrestling, to seek revenge on the heel who put u out of action and stole ur belt. what i would like to see though is a long program built up. such as, orton somehow has enough stroke with the guest hosts or gm or whoever is running the show at batista's return. i would like to see orton make batista have to go thru rhodes at a ppv. then the next ppv he would have to go thru diabase, and then finally Batista is able to get his hands on orton. Kinda like in the original NWO days how luger wasnt able to get his hands on hogan before he went thru everyone, and the same with the steiners trying to get the tag belts from the outsiders. with today's writting and booking alot of long storylines and feuds arent seen. some of these long feuds were made great because of the anticipation that was built up.

Hopefully the same thing as Brian Kendrick.

We could never be so lucky, however.

I'll never understand how Batista remains popular. I think the injuries have actually helped him stay as over as he is. If he was on TV for longer than 4 month intervals, I think even casual fans would get sick of him. He's the Ultimate Warrior without the charisma. And the tassels. Maybe I'd like Batista if he wore tassels.

I like the idea of him pushing the younger guys, but I don't see that happening. I see him coming back right into the title picture. He will probably go straight after Orton and start a feud with him title or not. Then if Orton is not champion move on and win the world title. It might take him awhile to win it, but i bet he will win it eventually.

well i guess if we are lucky than when Batista comes back Cena is the champion and he interferes in Ortons rematch. By the time Batista come back hopefully HHH is in a feud with HBK (just because I loved their feud back in 02) leaving Cena to finally face someone new for the title..IMO this would be the best scenario for Raw

Well it depends on what WWE did then. At Extreme Rules, WWE allowed Batista to go over Randy Orton, knowing full well that he was injured. Batista, the new WWE Champion appears on Raw the next night and is attacked by The Legacy, forcing him to have to give up the title. If WWE did that just so Orton could regain the title, then chances are that Batista will return and go straight to Orton, and if Orton is champ, then Batista will also go straight to the title. But, if WWE did that because they really wanted Batista as the champion, then it's likely that he will return and go straight to the title.

Since, Batista said himself that he feels that he only has one year left in him, this injury could force him to have an even more limited amount of time left in him. I really like Batista and I hope that this is his last injury, especially if he really does only have one year left in him.

I don't think that the main event scene will be too filled for Batista not to fit in. I mean, it's been Orton, Triple H, and John Cena (sporadically) in the title scene for a while now and Batista always found a spot then. Why not now? HBK will more than likely step out of the main event if Batista needed to get in, so I see no problem in it.

yeah batista will come back and go after orton. but i reckon batista will return at the rumble like cena did and win it then face orton (who will be champ) but at the hiac ppv triple h will win the title but then from oct to jan orton will win the title back and it will be batista vs orton wm26 i have a feeling that it will go down like that

Well unfortunately if Orton still has the title, then we'll get to see Batista return and use his rematch clause and he'll talk about what he's going to do to Orton when they face off because of the injury that Orton gave him. I would want him to return as a heel, he was great as heel when he was in Evolution and for a long time now it seems that Batista's character is stale, so he should benefit from a heel turn.

What's next for Batista? Retirement hopefully
He'll come back, win the belt off Orton and head into WM 26 to face Cena, who he will lose to and no-one will care because, as always, we'll be talking about the HBK match that stole the show and should have been the main event.

The only other difference is that Ultimate Warrior also gave better promos/involved in better storylines

Batista will come back and feud with Orton since he will blame him for putting him out of action. I wouldn't be surprised if Orton holds the title until then so Batista can take it off of him.

I'd cry if he does.

Batista is just at the top because Vince loves Big Men. Especially the Body Builder type. Think of any one of them. Brock, Lashley, Batista... they get to the top.

Even Chris Masters got a push and an Elimination Chamber appearance. It's just a shame he's not that good.

If he does love big men, why did it take so long for Batista to get to the main event and win his first championship. It took Brock three or four months and Lashley had has within a year. Batista is hugely over with the fans and there is no questioning why he is at the top.

What I would like to see is Batista retire. He is turning into Kevin Nash, getting injured every 4 - 6 months, taking exorbitant amounts of time off...he just doesn't have that aggression in his work any longer. I was never a fan of his mic skills and his body just seems to be saying no to professional wrestling now.

What will more then likely happen, however, is Vince will book him in a high profile feud with Orton and Legacy in a revenge angle, whether Orton has the belt or not. Whether Batista's body is ready to go or not, this is smart business as this is the bread and butter angle of professional wrestling and Vince would be stupid not to capitilize. Then, Batista will have another feud for the championship if Orton was not the title holder at the time, will come close to winning or will outright win the title and get injured again. Eventually he will heed what his body is trying to tell him and he will retire.

Well, whenever Batista's return might be, it should be during the main event of some PPV with Orton defending his title against someone, and right as Orton is about to hit the RKO, Batista's music hits and he comes out onto the stage...which distracts Orton, and gives the opponent time to recover and hit their finisher and win the title from Orton. Set up a feud between Orton and Batista, and keep them out of the title picture for at least a couple months.
And this is all assuming that Orton is still champion when Batista returns...or I guess it could be where Orton is trying to win the title back too...but I think Orton losing the title would actually work better and make Orton more mad.

It's only logical that he'd be feuding with Orton and considering Orton is the only bona fide main event heel I guess that means that they will be feuding for the title. Considering Orton injured him twice nothing else would make any sense. There is no was the WWE can simply forget about that and just stick Dave in another feud.

That being said, I don't think Batista/Orton will last very long. Maybe a month or two, but then they should go their separate ways on to other men. Considering the stacked Main Event on Raw at this moment it's also likely that we'll get a multi-man match or two for the tite, maybe another Championship Scramble. Regardless, there is no reason to believe Batista won't be in or around the title picture immeadiately upon returning.

Whats next for Batista ??? i think the topic should be whats next for us from batista...

i think so it would b the same old routine....the one takes him out will feel the WRATH of the animal...his music will hit...he will run to the ring...hit a clothesline on orton...shake the ropes...hit the spinebuster...n orton will sneak from the ring or get powerbombed...n I AM SERIOUSLY SICK OF SEEING THIS SHIT OVER AND OVER AGAIN...._|_ BATISTA...

Not to say he deserves it though. It's easy to say that it took him a long time compared to the others but lets not forget he was an old rookie. Brock and Lashley were both young when they started. Batista possibly was being closely monitored to see how he could handle to big time. He was then thrust into the main event picture long before winning a world title with Evolution. That's both a factor of his later success and the reason he was beltless for so long. It was all about Triple H. Not Batista.

He is popular. No question. I'm glad he's had some success, truly.
