Simple question. The choices are The Rock, Chris Jericho, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, Paul Heyman, Triple H or somebody else?
All these performers have pros and cons, so I'll go through what I think are the negatives and positives.
The Rock:
Pros: He's an entertaining and charming guy. Can get it done in the ring. Household name. Would be allowed to get into new feuds and big money feuds at that.
Cons: I noticed that during his last run with the company, he stumbled much more on the mic then he usually did. He HAS gotten older and could have lost a step in ring. His attitude might not mesh well enough with PG television.
Chris Jericho:
Pros: He's still great on the mic. He can always pull a great match out of his ass. Isn't out of ring shape, but would still be a quality name to have on the roster.
Cons: He isn't a big enough name to draw much more for you then you would have either way. Has lost some of his edge in the PG era and just do to the new direction of his character.
"Stone Cold" Steve Austin:
Pros: He's a huge name to add to the roster. Seems willing to return for at least one more program so it makes sense. Has had some classic moments/matches. For as "Attitude" as his character is, he has the ability to entertain in many different ways.
Cons: He might have too brash of moments at times, no matter how entertaining he is. He also could really be out of wrestling shape.
Paul Heyman:
Pros: Creative guy, good on the mic and could bring some fresh ideas into the fold.
Cons: Most of his ideas are best when on the controversial side of things. Not all, but most I would say.
Triple H:
Pros: There are a few new faces around that would allow him to keep his return fresh and entertaining. He could immediately face off with Sheamus. Obviously can get it done in the PG programming and is good on the mic and in the ring.
Cons: It's still a bit fresh that he's gone, and it wouldn't have the biggest impact. Some people just don't want him in the main event picture, either.
So, out of the list, what do you guys think?
Who would be the best in a returning role in your mind?
