What wrestlers actually make you want to watch RAW/Smackdown?

DCLXVI

Getting Noticed By Management
So maybe it has been the Holiday season, and between being busy and catching up on some video games I purchased in the past month I haven't really been following WWE as closely as I normally do. That, and the fact it has been kind of bad lately.

My friend text me to ask if I was watching Smackdown and I was playing a game but reluctantly put it on. I don't even remember anymore, it was Kane at some point, Adam Rose, Rusev vs. Dean Ambrose, Big Show was in there somewhere and Roman Reigns. I don't really care all that much for any of those guys. So I didn't really watch nor was I compelled to do so.

What guys actually make you tune in and get invested in the show? For me recently it would definitely be Ryback, Cesaro, Tyson Kidd (Hate he was put in a tag with Cesaro but hopefully it benefits both guys), Luke Harper and Bray Wyatt again lately. I was big on the Dust Brothers but they got lost in the shuffle and watching them wrestle the Uso's got old. Ambrose can be entertaining but they seem to be relying on him a lot and having him do some really silly things. Hell... even to an extent I liked Titus O'Niel and Slater, minus the Gator and both of them on their own.

People that make me want to change in the channel are usually overexposed guys that people on the forum typically complain about: KANE, Big Show, Mark Henry to some extent, and anything that I deem "embarassing" as an adult to watch... i.e. El Torito vs. Hornswaggle or anything too painful with the guest hosts.

I think they really need to bring in some new people.

What wrestlers hold your attention?

Basically any of the top guys that carry the show and from the mid and lower card I find Mizdow, Stardust and Cesaro entertaining.

I am not really one for the filler shit and like you, vets like the Big Show and Kane need to get off my TV as I cant stand them anymore. Mark Henry, however, if booked well, can actually be a handy Upper MidCard heel instead of Kane and Big Show being pushed down our throats on a weekly basis.

Cena-Despite his haters, this guy puts on great matches. He's got a good physique, and is a strong athlete to boot. As corny as it sounds, I admire him for not making a heel turn.

Orton-Good in the ring. Solid gimmick, plays his character well.

Cesaro-Athletic guy with a great skill set. Cesaro's match with Cena awhile back was amazing.

Lesnar-Has to have a mouthpiece like Heyman to cut his promos. He's accomplished a laundry list of athletic endeavors and has a good in-ring skill set and amazing athletic ability.

Let's put it this way, if I flip on WWE and I see any of the following guys I will likely want to keep watching:

- Dean Ambrose
- Seth Rollins
- Roman Reigns*
- Bray Wyatt*
- Luke Harper
- Ryback
- Mizdow
- The Usos

For the rare appearances:

- Brock Lesnar
- Sting

Those guys have me interested for the time being. I starred Roman Reigns and Bray Wyatt for some reasons. For Bray Wyatt, I generally dig his character. He has a good look, great mic skills and logical move-set and ring psychology based on his character. What I am sometimes not sold on is his promos. I know he has a way of speaking, I'm okay with that, but I really want to see him make his point more clear. I'm an adult and I have trouble sometimes understanding his point. Imagine how lost some kids are! So I hope to see Wyatt have more to-the-point promos and start having more convincing wins.

For Roman Reigns, I know a lot of people are not sold on his promos or ring work. I am cautious about that too but I am giving him the benefit of the doubt that he will improve in both areas because he does have a strong look which you can't really deny is very important in pro wrestling!

So those guys I usually enjoy seeing. There are others but they are used so poorly I can't say I enjoy seeing them in their current state but may end up liking them again with a different push.

Ziggler, Rusev, BnB and then anything else I usually just have on in the background. I also watch properly if the combination of wrestlers interests me.

Cena: Dude can hold my attention with his promos most of the time (when he's not acting like an idiot), and puts on fairly entertaining matches. If I see Cena on the TV, I'll most likely be inclined to watch because like it or not, he's "the man".

Bray Wyatt: Similar to John Cena. I'm usually enraptured in the promos that Wyatt cuts and he's gotten LOADS better in the ring. Most of what Wyatt does entertains/intrigues me.

Seth Rollins: Ok I'm getting repetitve. Great matches, good promos.

Others:

Dean Ambrose
Dolph Ziggler
Luke Harper
Rusev

Rollins, Rusev, Ambrose, Miz/Mizdow and Luke Harper have me glued to the tv week in and out. But, one superstar has me wated to watch religiously these days.

Dolph Ziggler. This guy has been gold lately, from a month before SS until now, I would love for him to win the Rumble and shockingly beat Brock for the title at Mania, He absolutely keeps me interested thesedays

Seth rollins is the only guy i actually like but i'd watch cena and ambrose and thats it everyone else is boring as hell tbh worst roster in years

- Ryback:
- Rollins:
- Randy Orton:
-Sheamus:
-AJ Lee:
Are the Wrestlers I would watch no matter what
The Wreslters I only watch when in the ring are...
Reigns- I enjoy his couple of moves. He may not have a diverse moveset but he does have some unique moves in the superman punch and that basement rope kick.
Naomi: She's so good, but don't get much praise as Paige, Natayla, etc. She has a pretty diverse moveset. Shes used 2 unique Submissions (never seen either before), Has a scissors ddt like move, and the split leg moonsault all for finishers.
-Luke Harper: He's not only the best big guy in ring-wise he's one of the best in all of Wwe.
-New Day: Mainly Kofi and Big E: Kofi though he needs to add some fresh moves, everytime I see him I know its going to be entertaining, and Big E is actually pretty good just needs to learn more suplexes and stop with all the belly to bellies
On the Mic/ backstage segments
-Stardust: dude seriously need more in ring mic time, he could be as over as Mizdow, by now
-Miz: he's so freaking annoying, I enjoy it (lil weird).

As things stand at the moment

Rusev - being bulgarian myself I want to see him improve and hopefully move up in the company.
Orton - he has a rollins fued that is overdue that should be interesting.
AJ - the only female wrestler that can both talk and wrestle.
Enzo & Cas - new age outlaw-esk. Good gimmick and good fun in moderate doses.
Hideo Itami - im interested to see how his move set evolves considering which moves he is famous for.

I find Mizdow hilarious. Just started watching WWE again after last years Royal rumble so have only seen him as a jobber, I think this could bring him back to relevance after the teams inevitable split.

Cesaro is my favorite. I hate how he has been booked since winning the Andre the Giant battle royal.

Others are Bray Wyatt, Bo Dallas has a lot of potential.

More wrestlers would be worth watching if used properly. Hopefully GFW gathers some steam and lights a fire under WWE Creative to actually make worthwhile programming.

No one in particular makes me watch RAW/Smackdown. The last person I specifically tuned in because of was Punk. I like Rollins. I like Cesaro. I love Daniel Bryan (when he wrestles). But they don't make it must watch for me.

The closest I've come to a "must watch" guy was after I saw Finn Balor's amazing NXT entrance. I will not specifically watch NXT for him.

Right now the Superstars I watch WWE for are Dolph Ziggler, The Miz, Jack Swagger, Randy Orton, Bad News Barrett, Antonio Cesaro, The Usos, The Big Show, and Nikki Bella. Hopefully Daniel Bryan will be wrestling again, he'd be on that list. Christian being retired is a big downer for me, he was one of my all-time favorites and I was hoping he'd follow in Edge's footsteps and have his last match at a WrestleMania.

Daniel Bryan
Dean Ambrose
Stephanie McMahon
Brock Lesnar
Chris Jericho
Paul Heyman

^^^Those I find 100% interesting/compelling and will make sure I see all of their segments.

Dolph Ziggler
Cesaro
Wyatt
Seth Rollins
HHH
Rusev/Lana
Randy Orton

^^^Those I like a lot, and as long as they aren't stuck in pointless matches/segments I am all in and excited to watch them.

Roman Reigns
Usos
Stardust/Golddust
Nikki Bella
Ryback
AJ Lee
Paige
Damien Sandow

^^^Those I like well enough, but need the match/segment to catch my interest otherwise I'm half watching.

The rest I generally either don't care to see, or flat out dislike.
