What was the best year of the attitude era "98 or "99?

1999 had some great moments like HHH's rise as the top heel, Y2J's debut, and The Rock rising as the top face next to Stone Cold.

But I prefer 1998. The Rise of Austin, DX vs The Nation, the Survivor Series Deadly Game tournament, and let's not forget the Summer of 98 headlined by Rock vs HHH in one of the greatest ladder matches of all time and two legitimate badasses facing off: Austin vs Undertaker.

Personally, I loved 1999. The Attitude Era officially started in the summer of '98 but '99 was the first entire year of the Attitude Era. I loved the storylines that year. The Ministry of Darkness/Corporate Ministry and the higher power was some great TV. The debut of Chris Jericho and Big Show were both pulled off very well. I loved the dark wedding with Undertaker about to marry Stephanie McMahon and then Austin came out to a HUGE pop and saved her. Also, that was the year The Rock became a huge star. When he turned babyface in the spring/early summer of '99 he was instantly right up there with Austin as the face of the company. It also started Triple H's epic heel run. From the summer of '99 until he tore his quad in 2001 he was one of the best ever, IMO. So yeah I'll take 1999 over 1998.
