What is the Big Deal about Ted Dibiase Jr.

Ted is nice on the mic and good in the ring and will no doubt win a world title someday. He'll probably hit the mid card first, which would be nice, but he'll end up in the main event scene soon!!!

I am like many other on here and believe that they will both make it to the top. In my opinion, their collective pushes that will occur as singles are alot like Christian and Edge's. From the onset there were bigger plans for Edge. That is the role that Ted is playing, between his pedigree and his look he is a top guy in training. He has improved all around, greatly, and should do just fine. Cody is more like Christian in that his size will work against him and he will have to work his ass off, get over on his own, and will be treated like a big player. At this point, I think Cody is better but he isn't the chosen one and doesn't have a movie going straight to dvd this December. lol They have definitely benefitted from working together and if it isn't botched by creative, the direction that these guys take as individuals could be real good.

i never saw what people saw in ted dibiase. He never did much for me. On the other hand Cody Rhoads seems more or less like a person that i would one day want to main event. He has an actual personallity and he doesn't get lost as just part of legacy. Dibiase kind of does.

They will end up pushing Ted mainly because the fact they can negotiate his dad into coming back as his manager as a face. I personally think Cody is a decent wrestler but his lisp absolutely makes me want to put my head in a refrigerator and slam it over and over again as he speaks. Ted just has the look of what Randy was in the beginning....a young guy with the right tools, only needing the right guidance. I see Ted vs. Orton by Royal Rumble for the belt IMO
However, he (Rhodes) seems to be more of a tag team specialty. For the majority of his career, he's had a tag team partner with him (look Hardcore Holly and Ted DiBiase). Until he can look more on relying on himself and not a tag team partner, I gotta keep my hopes and positivity on Ted DiBiase.
I would just say that Rhodes didn't have a tag team partner when he first debuted in WWE, in fact he had a mini feud with Randy Orton and then had a typical newcomer run of beating jobbers and opening card talents. This was before he tagged with Holly and then Orton/Dibiase. So while Rhodes has largely been associated with another wrestler for the better part (or more successful part) of his WWE career thus far, it can be said for Ted Dibiase that he has only been associated with a team for his entire WWE career to date. Since Ted debuted he has been associated with Cody Rhodes and he hasn't had a singles run on his own like Rhodes initially had. So, if anything it's Dibiase who has had a tag team partner the majority of his career surely....

Personally I feel that Cody Rhodes is the better of the two, and if Dibiase was getting the push then why did Cody go over him on Raw ? Dibiase isn't on team Raw or wrestling at bragging rights so maybe just maybe the WWE finally realized that Dibiase is the mid-carder and Rhodes is the future Main Eventer.

What's the big deal about Ted DiBiase, Jr?

He's a very good wrestler and looks the part. But that's really not why Vince is pushing him, is it?

Its because his name is Ted DiBiase, Jr. He's instantly credible and marketable to fans all over the world.

You think Ted isn't going to get a push into the Main Event as a face soon when Vince knows Ted Sr. can show up and function as his mouthpiece until Jr actually get better in promos?

Million Dollar Man is going to make a real quick comeback as Ted Jr's manager as soon as they split him off.

Well at Bragging rights one of these 14 people could also compete in a singles match later that night. Don’t be surprised if TED gets a shot at the title that night but he would lose because he is not ready to be champ yet but it makes a good story line.

I dont know why Ted is gonna get the early rub over Cody, Cody has clearly carried the team and is much much better in the ring, and the mic. but its hbk and marty jennety, Edge and christian, jeff and matt syndrome, the guys that do the majority of the work are who they are while the other is more exciting and never really shows too much of themselves and them blossoms and mostly Its all about the look, the dairk hair guy never gets a shot, i think its a lil different in this case because teddy is a lil more fresh than cody, he hasnt been around as long and he still has room to screw up, cody was tag teamed with hardcore holly is margin of error is very small so he will have to take the stairs while teddy is on the elevator.teddy fits the mold for the next young star while cody will get there and have the better career it will take longer.

I don't think either of them are very good to be honest with you. Ted and Cody are getting by and getting more screen time than just about everyone else on Raw, but there is nothing about them that is particularly watchable. People talking about DiBiase headlining WrestleMania with Orton are way off the mark, the only way that will happen is if abou 10 wrestlers are killed in a bus crash on the way to the arena.

The longer they stay together, the better, because right now they are a pair of Orton clones, but not even very good ones, and it is essentially a case of whichever is pushed, they will flop.

both are very overrated on the forums but cody is a better wrestler and has the better finisher. I even hate ted's fist drops,i think the ppl on these boards are stuck in the past and have mirages of ted actually being good because of his father, same goes for dh smith
