Its official that my favorite wrestler from 2000-to present day Jeff Hardy has resigned with WWE other wise he would not have won the World Title from Punk I guess Smackdown will be as good as it is rite now with Jeff MAN THIS IS Great news unless WWE is stupid enough to give Hardy the title for a couple of weeks only but won't be surprised if that is the case cause thats happen to Jeff like 2 times

It looks like Jeff Hardy has resigned but you never can be sure. I'm mean his other two world title reigns haven't lasted that long so you never know. Stranger things have happened.

..."Official"? You should probably do yourself a favor and look up what the definition of the word "official" is. Because this isn't it. This is pure speculation on your part, nothing more. If Hardy had resigned with the WWE already, we would damn well know. It's perfectly reasonable to assume he might re-sign now, but to call it "official" is simply incorrect.

I doubt Hardy will resign. He's been telling everyone who will listen that he wants to take a break from the WWE again. Right now I'd venture to say it's much more likely he leaves than stays. Giving him the title reeks of desperation on the part of the WWE, it's clear they're desperate to keep Hardy, and that's why they gave him the belt. To try and motivate him to re-sign.

Oh and Hardy debuted in the WWE in 1999, not 2000. Though technically he wrestled a few jobber matches for the company in 1997, he and his brother didn't debut as a tag team under the "Hardy Boyz" moniker until 1999.

While it's nice to see "hard work" pay off (Jeff's been with the company for a decade, and only won a heavyweight title recently), I'm almost certain that WWE could've found a much better champion. Hardy is a glorified spot monkey. He's certainly got no in-ring skills to speak of, and his promo work leaves much to be desired.

It saddens me that WWE would rather put their most prestigious belt around someone who would rather run and jump around the ring, while actual WRESTLERS like Benjamin, Haas and Regal continue to get crapped on.

It's official that the WWE was on the way to give CM Punk some great credibility as a decent heel champion... then they go and do this and take a dump all over him. I can't fathom why they... I'm just pissed. I can't even finish a sentence. Hopefully something happens within the next month where Jeff Hardy gets the hell beat out of him and Punk gets the title back. For christ sake in the record books... Jeff Hardy is officially a 3 time champion. 3 times. That's 3 times more than Kane and I'm not even a huge Kane fan and that's just rediculous. It's one less time than Randy Orton. And the biggest blasphamus point of all... it's 3 times more than the Million Dollar Man. What. the. hell? Why? Why? Who the hell is being set up to take it back off him? It better be Punk so the WWE can regain SOME form of credibility. The only other reasonable explanation is Jericho but I don't see them throwing him into the main event right now. Even though I think he could get a really great match or two out of spotmonkey Jeffy. Punk better get the title back at Summerslam or before because I can't friggin stand Jeff Hardy as a champion. Especially since he's never successfully defended it at a PPV once.

Kane won the WWE title back in 98. And If you count ECW, thats 2 title reigns. But yes, nothing is official, do we even know when his current contract runs out? Or maybe he signed a short extension?

I think you could have learned from using proper spelling and punctuation. And also, Jeff's first match was indeed against Scott Hall aka Razor Ramon on May 24, 1994. You are off by a year, so when bitching at xfearbefore, make sure your facts are correct.

Onto Jeff "officially" re-signing with the company. I doubt it right now. They really want him to come back, as they are hurting on Smackdown. Will he do it? Like I said, I doubt it. He has other ventures going on in his life outside of wrestling, such as his band, and even motocross. You as a Jeff Hardy fan should know this. I know I do. Jeff isn't one for money, he is happy with what he has gotten, and isn't greedy for more. Time will tell, but I am going to make a prediction, if Jeff hasn't made an agreement to come back to the company, I could see a possible Loser Leaves match or something. Jeff has to win or retain the title, or else he is fired. I don't know. Seems like it could fit though. But yes, it is no where near official that he has re-signed. It is just hopeful.

It is anything but official man. All this means is that he can lose the title at any given moment. Vince has a thing about hot shot angles, everybody knows. I hope he did resign, he is definitely needed right now. I'm a little sick of everyone bitching about him winning the title. Jesus Christ, KIDS make the show. Kids are the ones who want Jeff as champion, therefore, Jeff is champion. Pretty simple stuff.

I have to stop you there... Hardy is Lucha... he's quick, agile, and has excellent ring presence. WWE doesn't do Lucha, that's why he, Chavo, Rey and Super Crazy (when he was there, along with Psicosis and Eddie G) have slowed down. TNA, IGWP and AAA can do it, but in WWE, it's all about the presentation. You can't have Hardy do what he does next to a big guy like Batista... for example, because Hardy would make him look like he's standing still. Evan Bourne is and Rey are the only 2 that do Lucha (and even then they still tone it down) because it's considered a novelty. If that style was widly accepted, then it would force everyone else on the roster to keep up... they just can't. Think about it... go back to the CM Punk of ROH and look at him now... he slowed down, see?

Secondly, remember who innovated TLC matches? Who changed the WWE because of it? Hardy... but you know what? It's catching up to him. He's slower because of what he does. Watch the next time he does a swanton, how he holds his stomach. After years of abuse on your body, after a while, you break down. I'm not dissin' Cena, I like him too, but put the Cena in his prime against the Hardy in his prime... Jeff would smoke him...

Back on topic, you can't say it's 'official', because it's not. If it was, than thousands of news letters around the internet would go out. And another thing don't flame other users, unless your in the bar-room. And Jeff debuted as a jobber in 1994 against Razor Ramon, not Scott Hall (I know there the same people, but there different charactars). I just think it's a desperation thing from the WWE to make Jeff stay, and nothing more.

I don’t think it’s actually official that he has signed a new contract with the WWE. I think this is either Vince’s way of trying to make him sign a new contract y offering him the title or trying to get him to sign an extension. Maybe Vince doesn’t want to have to suddenly push any other babyface into the main event (for example John Morrison) because they might not be ready. He wants to build them up enough and then push them when he knows they have gotten over enough with the fans. Vince won’t be able to really do that since ones of the major babyfaces is out healing an injury. And the other face is already involved in something and he isn’t going to make him abandon everything he is doing. By having Jeff sign an extension or a new contract then at least Vince has secured someone who can handle the main event until The Undertaker or someone else returns and fills the void left by Jeff Hardy if he does decided to leave. But I really don’t think this is an indication that Jeff signed a new contract. To me it’s indicating that Vince is willing to do whatever he needs to do to keep Jeff Hardy for some more time.

Technically Hardy debuted in 1993. But anyways onto the topic, I highly doubt that Hardy has resigned because it would've been reported by now. Plus he's been telling people that he wants to take a break from wrestling to focus on other projects such as his band and his reality show. I do hope that he stays and if he does take time off, I hope he returns by Wrestlemania 26.

absolutely not official whatsoever. Why? Its most likely a show of good faith. If he resigns, good solid title run. If he doesnt, they bury him, and make Punk look like a beast. Pretty obvious, IMO.

Sorry I got banned for flaming a mod anyways I guess I was just happy that Jeff Hardy won the world title I'm sorry if I offended anyone and its not official I just finished watching NOC when I made this topic anyways at least he had a successful defense against John Morrison and hopefully he will keep the title to at least Breaking Point
