WCW DVD compilations?

I would love it if Vince would release some old PPV's or compilations of matches from WCW. I would scoop it up right away if it were sold on the shelves...
If their are any old time WCW fans and know the history/matches of WCW , what would you put on a 3 disc dvd if there ever was one that they would create? Promos? Storylines? Parodies? Matches?

I'm not too familiar with alot of WCW background but I would include in a 3 disc set:

Eddie matches, Dean Malenko's, Mysterios, Jerichos and so on..

If anyone know's match ups and highlights please list em...

i didnt follow wcw nearly as much as WWE but i would include the folowing.

The nwo from start to finish.( finish being where jerret was in)
the ladder match from nitro where jarret beat benito for the us belt
jericho vs mysterio
the filthy animals (was somewhat entertaining)
nitro girls!!!
maybe a history of the wcw, us,tv,tag team titles on one disk.

besides that i cant really think of much more....like i said i didnt follow wcw as much as i wished i had of now.

A collection of Starrcade would own
Great American Bash as well
All the War Game Matches
A Four Horseman DVD
Best of Nitro

Bret did do the greatest interview ever (second to Rock before Armageddon hell in a cell), where he talks about him knowing who his opponent should be for the title (im not sure which one)...and then he says...El Dandy, your a hell of an athlete and a top guy, Mean Gene talks about him being a cruserweight and Bret says Hypnosis (meaning Physcosis).

Its classic!

They should make some WCW DVDs that make WCW look good, not bad. I'd like to see a DVD made on WCW PPV's most likely StarrCade, the original WrestleMania.

the ultimate anthology wcw nitro that would be great to see

They should release,

Best of Goldberg - You know u loved him when he was getting the streak it was fucking awesome, His 50th win against Raven for the united states title fucking rocked, and ive never heard a crowd go so nuts as when he beat HOGAN.

Best of Nitro - Either make this or put out DVDs from there yearly best of nitro show.

Starcadde - Classic matches from all the starcades.

Vince Russo - This would be a great dvd to see the fall of wcw around 2000 - 2001 i think it would be a very interesting DVD to own.

Best of the NWO - From start to finish.

Best of 4 Horsemen - Obviuos reasons, best wrestling stable ever in wreslting,. They need to be remembered.

Sting - Who didnt love sting hes story would be extremely entertaining to watch.

There are alot more that i would lvoe to see, but it is very unlikely we will ever see it again.

That's amazing how WWE hasn't realeased anything like that as I believe it would do fairly well, maybe not so many different categories but it would still do well IMO. But in a way WCW was such a pain in the ass I don't think Vince would want to put that out there especially knowing how Vince McMahon work's, yes it may bring in money but the prime focus is WWE... and milking the name of ECW. Plus I read somewhere that Vince hired Bischoff only to say that he made Bischoff work for him.

I heard maybe from wwe.com awhile ago on a survey and asked, "Would you like it if WWE released a Starcade boxset" or something to that effect. Anyone hear that?

Anyways alot of you mentioned some good match ups! I would'nt mind seeing Goldberg Vs Raven, and hearing that Goldbergs winning streaks were awesome from multiple people, make it sound legendary and makes me wanna see them...

I've started again being a fan of WWE since 2000 til now. I realized since I know alot of these names from WCW, that there were good quality matches from these wrestlers who have'nt been in WWE for that long, I.E. Dean Malenko, Raven, etc...

As far as the prime focus being WWE Pornxstr, well, WCW is no longer a operating corporation, so it would not harm WWE one bit to throw out WCW dvd's. WWE owns the company and could make so much money off of WCW right now at the moment... It would probably do better than ECW did. Maybe that may be what your trying to get at?

all i gotta say is World War 3 that shit was the ppv where it was like a 60 man battleroyal with 3 rings i remember that i loved that ppv

Anything that WWE puts out on WCW would be negative...except for their "few" genuis ideas that Vince can't even doubt...ie NWO, Booker T. vs Benoit best of seven series...goldberg's winning streak...war games....the cruiserweights.

Because all we hear or see from WCW in the WWE dvds are the mess ups and how horrible it was. IE the HOgan-Warrior Match, Bret Hart's mishandling...(hey I agree but the DDP feud for the US strap was good).

I don't think we'll get a lot of pro-WCW DVDS

the best of sting would be the best thing ever... he's has more classic matches than i can think of... Vader, Flair, and hogan. are a few classic feud that come to mind with sting

They may also opt to put out a History of the Wolf - Pac as they were incredibly over at one stage, though i dont know why.

Best of the outsiders - B4 they were the nwo there was hall and nash and they were a driving force it would be good to relive some of there antics from 96 - 97 when they were completly unstoppable.

Stable Wars - Compilation of the best wars between all there stables ie : Ravens Flock
Filthy Animals
Misfits in action
Millionaires club
New blood

And so on, WCW had alot stables so it would be good to see.

MAking of Ready to Rumble would be Fn sweet to, i would love to see how many times they laughed during the making of that haha

I think as soon as WWE has finished releasing all of the Tagged Classics series they will do the same with vintage WCW and ECW cards.

They should just put out a PPV box set for each year for WCW, and they should do the same thing for WWE(they did it for 03 and 05) and ECW.

ya i'd love to see them have a best of starrcade. i mean they dont sell starrcade individually on dvd so they might as well

i wanna see the best of wcw a 3-disc set with matches like:
booker t vs benoit(any of their many matches)
chris jericho vs rey mysterio(hair vs mask)
kevin nash vs goldberg
flair vs sting
sting vs vader
ron simins vs vader

Was it the Jericho Vs Rey match where rey lost his mask? If so I don't think they would ever put that on due to the fact the Rey is still wrestling under the mask.

"Now who are you to doubt El Dandy?"

I've read in Power Slam that WWE has no intention in bringing out WCW cards on dvd as they dont think there's enough demand for them.

Of course they dont think there is a high demand for them because the wcw marks like myself know vince would just put the crappy 2000 to the fall of wcw on there he wouldnt dare put the sting vs. hogan rivalry, the hogan turn on wcw and joining the nwo, the booker t and chris benoit matches, or the chris benoit bret hart match. heck i would like to see the wcw vs. nwo wargames match. the list goes on and on. which is funny everyone ran wcw into the ground because it was "old" they werent fresh, why would you bring nwo back there dead.and so on. but yet when vince brings D-X back , when vince brings hogan back, when vince brings the nwo to wwe, when vince has himself feuding with the top superstars like triple h and shawn micheals its brilliant, i mean i dont recal him ever feuding with mankind or dude love or w/e he was back then and i dont think he ever had a feud with stone cold did he? but yet when vince takes a crap its genius.

I agree wit bjt2217 Vince is so fucking jealous of the ideas and sucsess that WCW had he wants everyones memory to be of the Vince Russo WCW not the Eric Bischoff but even vince knows himself that he just can't do it like WCW. WCW has a best of 7 series Benoit and Booker T. WWE does it too. WCW has crusierweights, WWE does it too. and now look at what's happening. TNA has an undeafeated Samoa Joe. WWE gets an undefeated Umaga TNA gets all of the ECW stars. WWE brings back ECW it's ridiculous...:theyareontome: :weird:

They should release:
A box-set of all the StarrCades from start to finish
A box-set of all the Great American Bashes (WCW & WWE)
A box-set of all the SuperBrawls
A box-set of all the Halloween Havocs
A box-set of all the Clash of the Champions
A Compilation DVD of every WarGames match
I'm surprised they haven't done this already, but a box-set of Rey Mysterio's life, Eddie Guerrero's life, and Chris Benoit Hard Knocks, and call the box-set the Three Amigos.
Dean Malenko's biography, made like Chris Benoit Hard Knocks
Chris Jericho's biography, all the way to when he got beaten by Cena, then say what he did after he left the company
The history of the nWo, including matches from the WCW, Japan, and WWE
Release a DVD of the Alliance (ECW & WCW after WWE bought both)
Wrestling's best stables and tag teams compilation (WCW, ECW, and WWE; would include the Ministry of Darkness, NOD, LOD, Hardyz, the Corporation, The Alliance, nWo, DX, etc. )
A Goldberg DVD (if the WWE could get him to sign on)

If they released all of those, with matches from their WCW, WWE/F and ECW archives, they would make TRUCKLOADS of money. People like these DVD compilations, and if they released all of them (not all at once, of course), the fans may have a better understanding of why these three companies were at war, and why two out of three were bought out.

exactly i totally forgot about that one... i was watching this umaga character and jim ross or someone called him the "undefeated somoan buldozer" and for a second i thought somoa joe was gonna be on raw but i looked up and i see this clown. he is a ripoff the somoan submission machine and can not even match joes in ring wrestling ability. another thing. i look at the reax for tna and the wwe marks always say why does tna copy wwe. and if anything comes anywhere near to something that happend on raw they all blame tna for copying which is funny because now wwe has umaga, wwe is trying to get there tag team roster back up because tna's kicks theres. also remember a while ago kevin nash brought out a midget and called him chris sabin... well that following monday the all mighty d-x brought out midgets of the spirit squad and eveyrone on the raw reax just loved it and thought it was soooooo original and clever.... however if u look back at the tna reax the week before. the wwe marks all criticized it and said the midget crap has been done before and they cant come up with there own material..... whatta load of crap.... i watch both tna and wwe and both are good and bad in there own ways but just because its vince and its soooo much cooler its ok to rip off the smaller products but if they try and be original its a sin.
