VKM Members Ask For TNA Release

Kip James and B.G. James both asked to be released from their TNA contracts several weeks back so they could return to WWE.

Management, however, refused to let them out of their contract.

Hmm so they refused to let Kip and B.G. out of their contracts..What if they were to just quit? Does TNA have a no-compete clause in their contracts as well?

Either way, i'm hoping someday soon, we see the New Age Outlaws back in WWE. Not only is it good for the company, but it can start to re-build the Tag Team Division as well. With MNM, The Hardyz, New Age Outlaws, etc...The Tag Team Division can finally make a comeback.

i dont really care to see the Outlaws back...i cannot stand Billy Gunn, and besides, Vince would just make fools out of them...i dont think they would really add anything to the tag division...the way i see it, TNA is their only hope...they would be foolish to leave, even if they arent really shit there either...maybe over in Japan they could be somebodies, but i think they cashed out here in the States

Bringing back the New Age Outlaws could just be a horrible thing that would destroy the WWE lol... I know they need tag teams, but just take the roster that is full of mid-carders to make some, or get people up from OVW, or simply give pushes to teams like Cryme Tyme and the Highlanders which are entertaining (at least more than VKM).

Anyways I doubt this will ever happen, and wonder why both of them actually think they have a chance of going back to WWE... They piss the hell out of Vince McMahon, their storyline is over, and they wanna go back to the WWE ? What the hell ? Triple H and Vince McMahon (basically the two top guys in the WWE) now hate both of them. Why the hell would they want to get them rehired ???

Actually a couple months back, it was reported that Vince approached both Kip and B.G. about returning to the WWE, but they turned it down then, probably hoping to make it big in TNA, even though TNA uses them to shit. And New Age Outlaws back in WWE would not ruin it. Everone would be a hell of alot more entertained then they are now.

And yes, Highlanders and Cryme Tyme are alot more entertaining then VKM, but no one beats The New Age Outlaws

I think the new age outlaws should comeback not only for the tag teams but to bring back the attitude era and get wwe back in ratings it is not going to take only them tho.

I find this interesting as before, VKM turned Vince down and now they want to go work for him. After all the things they've said to Triple H, He won't want them back and if they do wrestle in WWE, you better believe they'll start off as jobbers or end up in DX. I don't like the DX idea though as HBK is pretty much killing it and adding the New Age Outlaws would make no sense..Anyways, TNA has proved once again that they only sign the big names on the market to keep them away from WWE. I don't think Vince would be in a huge hurry to sign them though. Gunn is the good wrestler and James is the guy on the mic. A decent tag team back in the day but they wouldn't be as big as they were then if they come back.

I think everyone has brought up great points about VKM. I definitely think IF Vince signs VKM, they will be in a "Matt Hardy" situation. Everyone will temporarily love them coming back, but will be punished for things said and done in the past. Big Ace is right in saying that HBK has killed DX, and adding them now or when HHH eventually comes back will not make a difference either way. If they stay in TNA, they just lost any and all leverage they had, and will be used in shitty situations.

Yes but since their VKM gimmick in TNA started, you can be sure that Vince won't approach them again... He did before that, when he really wanted to rebuild DX.

Euh... and VKM and the New Age Outlaws are the same thing, it's a stale old gimmick, with only names that changed. NAO -> James Gang -> VKM it's the same damn thing no matter how they play it, since the principal of the gimmick is always the same, and it's got boring for a while now.

Don't count on them helping the WWE draw, they won't do crap. They'll either be put in DX, but the chemistry would be horrible seeing as though they said such bad things about HBK and HHH... Or else they'll job in the tag team division, and it will be pointless and useless. Count on it.

theres no doubt IF they went to the wwe they would immediatly be put in DX..it only makes sense..and that is the main reason vince would hire them back is to put them in dx because the lack of hhh at the moment..words are words and business and business..as we've seen many times with past stars this all could be fixed no matter how much trash they have talked..

I personally think they should let them go, making the way for new talent.

I find there anti-WWE promos funny, but tired after a few of them.

They don't add much to the in ring capillary, and there is nothing left for them in TNA.

I got two words for VKM if they leave TNA; Sold Out. They will be crawling back to Vince and the WWE. They won't deny it but thats exactly what they will be doing. And the way I see it, TNA's tag division will survive without them. So if they want to split then I say good riddance, traitors. I would love for VKM to leave TNA, they are stale and boring and neither wrestler has put on a decent performance in years, their draw is slim to none for TNA.

Vince probably wont hire them back now, with the whole VKM angle anyway. Plus if they did go back to WWE they would be embarrassed to all hell by vince, Guaranteed.

First off, learn how to type right. Second, I didn't call Monty Brown and Cassidy Riley traitors, I called them TNA rejects. And actually I wouldn't be shitting bricks because the WWE was stupid enough to pass on both AJ Styles AND Christopher Daniels. Third, John Cena is not going to leave the WWE because they made him what he is and as far as Kurt Angle, the WWE wasn't using him anyway which was an insult because he is the best in the business. You call him a traitor, I call it him jumping off the sinking ship that is the WWE. And as far as VKM goes, your dumbass acts like they'll be welcomed with open arms by Vinny Mac and his son in law. They won't. They will be coming to him with their tail between their legs with Vince thinking "Look whose come crawling back." HERE'S A FEW THINGS WITH THIS WHOLE VKM RELEASE THING:

1)AFTER ABOUT A MONTH WHEN VINCE DECIDED TO IGNORE THEM, THE WHOLE "ANTI-WWE/DX" SHOOT INTERVIEW ANGLE WAS FINISHED FOR THEM AND TNA.

2)WHEN HHH GOT HURT, THEY WERE COMPLETELY DONE IN TNA. I MEAN YOU GO FROM A "HOT ANGLE" (at least for TNA it was), INTO FEUDING WITH CHRISTY HEMME ABOUT THE WOMAN'S DIVISION AND A BAD MATCH WITH THE HEARTBREAKERS. THIS WASNT A MARRIAGE THAT WAS/IS GOING TO LAST.

3)IF/WHEN THEY RETURN TO WWE THEY WILL NOT BE PUT BACK INTO D-X. VINCE WILL FEED THEM TO HHH AND HBK, AND THEN SHOVE THE FACT THAT HE GOT "THE MILLION $ CHALLENGE" TO HAPPEN ON WWE TV/PPV. THEY WILL JOB TO HHH/HBK AND THEN FLUTTER AROUND THE TAG DIVISION JOBBING TO THE TEAMS OF TODAY JUST LIKE FLAIR DOES.

4)NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS, TNA LOSES. IF THEY RELEASE THEM THEY LOSE DUE TO THE FACT THAT VKM WILL SHOW UP ON RAW AND BESIDES DOING THIER "DREAM MATCH" ON McMAHON'S TURF, GOD KNOWS WHAT THEY WILL SAY WHEN THEY ARE HANDED A LIVE MIC. IF THEY KEEP THEM, THEY WILL JUST BE MISERABLE AND MAKE THIER MATCHES LOOK BAD. TNA IS INDEED SCREWED ON THIS ONE.

I'm not sure how you can say that WWE is a sinking ship. Of course there are some problems with the current product, ECW to name one. But as has been previously reported, Wrestlemania 23 has sold over 63,000 tickets at over $5 million in revenue making it the highest grossing PPV in WWE history as well as the highest grossing event in professional wrestling history. Doesn't seem like a sinking ship to me.

TNA averages right around a 1.0 rating for it's 1 hour Impact every week, by comparison WWE produces 5 hours of television a week and each program is consistantly the highest rated program on their respective networks.

Sorry this is off-topic, but I was suprised at the "sinking ship" comment and felt compelled to respond.

At one point, I was actually optimistic about these two in TNA and the potential good I felt they might have served (right around the time Kip surfaced). However, they were rightfully unpushed as their in-ring production was weak sauce. Don't get me wrong, I think Kip is still a fairly decent worker in the ring, but B.G. needs to get his fat ass back into shape so he can actually move like he used to when they were worth their cred. They aren't getting any younger and B.G. doesn't see that.

Their marketability decreases by the day and out of the entire year or so I'd watch them tag again, I can count the number of good matches they've had on half of a hand. They'd be beyond stupid to go back to Vince at this point. They spent months lambasting the WWE product and two of the premier Kliq members on numerous tv shows and PPV's. They'll be buried and used strictly to put over the younger tag teams with what I'd figure would be zero hope of ever holding a top spot in the WWE. The only thing that would trump that is if WWE was desperate enough to use them to keep DX alive, which I'd still find rather doubtful.

TNA needs to keep doing what they're doing and be smart. Hold onto them. Get B.G. back in shape so that maybe these two can do something. But for f**k's sake...do not have them continue ANY angle with Christy Hemme. She is good for looking pretty and doing interviews. Nothing else. Her involvement single-handedly squashed/crushed/dilapitated all of the pop that VKM generated in the Impact Zone inside of a microsecond. As for VKM, they've been riding on past laurels and a mic routine that although one of the all time greats, can't make up for their shortcomings in the ring.

That would be a waste. VKM is a waste of airtime and couldn't put on a goodmatch to save their mothers lifes! Kip has the mic skills and charisma of a can of pudding and while BG has great mic skills and charisma, his in ring has gone down. They are space fillers and don't aid this company at all. If VKM wants out, just let them go and fill their spots with a team that is good. This would be a great reason to hire the briscoes.

I have a feeling the reason TNA won't do it is because they don't want VKM attacking them after they are gone. Why is that bad? Any PR is good PR and would only help their ratings, people would watch to see why VKM hates them so much. It may be better to get rid of them on bad terms than keep them.

I don't see how releasing VKM would be harmful. Even if they managed to make into the WWE again,they wouldn't be a big deal for very long, and they wouldn't attack TNA. The WWE won't mention TNA directly so it would make more sense to release them and bring in someone instead of paying them.
