InZayn In The Membrane
So, I've been playing & today I finished this game. I absolutely loved it. A lot of people said it got "silly" in its second half but I thought it was spot on throughout. A "Butterfly Effect" game where every decision that you make changes the outcome of the game.
For those that don't know about the game, or haven't played it - You take control of 8 different characters (Through the game), who have returned to a cabin lodge in Canada, a year after 2 of their friends died in the same location. It's a horror game with plenty of jump scares as you start to unfold a story, where your characters are being stalked by a "mystery man"...
For those who have played it, I will be talking about my thoughts in spoilers beneath. If you've not yet finished the game then I will warn you, there could be spoilers. So be careful.
All in all, an extremely enjoyable game to play through. It has a value in it, where you want to replay it to get different consequences.
8/10

- So, I finished the game with 1 character left alive. I know you can end with all 8 alive, or all 8 dead.
- The one left standing was Sam, who I never found a potential way to kill off through the game. I'd imagine there was one, but I don't think I came across it.
- Matt & Jessica were my joint least favourite characters. They both uninterested me & seemed to be there because Mike & Emily (their partners) had the important roles in the game, where they just bounced along.
- However, Mike & Sam were my favourites. Hayden Panettiere was great as Sam & Mike was just interesting throughout.
- I ended up having a change of heart on Chris. At the start of the game, where he leapt out on Sam/Mike in the monk outfit, I thought that as a character, he was a dick. However, after going through the trials of picking people to kill, became better. I fucked up playing as him & unfortunately he ended up dead when I wanted him alive.
- Dr. Hill - Great character. As he started to get more & more intense with each time he confronted you, it got better.
- Joshua being revealed as the mystery man shocked me. I loved it.
- Flamethrower Man however, whilst funny, sucked ass.
- The addition of the Wendigo's added something to the game. However, at that point we had only 3 more chapters, one of which was mainly Mike being chased by them & shooting his gun at them. Had the game been 12 chapters long, we could've got some more searching done.
All in all, an extremely enjoyable game to play through. It has a value in it, where you want to replay it to get different consequences.
