Triple H seemed...out of place

I totally felt that "end of career is near" vibe from HHH's speech. I don't know, can you blame the crowd for not being into it? You know he's going to lose at mania, you know it's not a real feud. The whole thing feels so forced it's not really entertaining.

I partially agree. The segment planning seemed rushed, he didn't look comfortable in the ring. It just didn't feel right.

Hopefully when he gets in a confrontation with Taker on RAW he delivers, because doing a crap segment with Taker before Mania will only lessen the hype for an already somewhat-unappealing match with no real feud happening.

or is it just me? HHH is usually pretty solid on the mic, but tonight i thought he was very below average, especially for a guy who is a sure fire hall of famer and who is making his return after being out several months. maybe hes rusty

not only that, but HHH seemed like he was expecting a monumental type crowd response for his return. he got a good one, but it was nowhere near the level of the rock (not that i think he should have, i dont), and i think thats what he was going for. he milked the time before he actually started talking.

i was skeptical at first, but i have become a big fan of the recent youth movement. guys like miz, dolph ziggler, alberto del rio, sheamus, wade barrett, cody rhodes, etc. i have really grown to like a lot of these guys. that doesnt mean i dont enjoy the once in a while comebacks by all time greats like the rock. but i was actually really excited to see a full time return of HHH...until now. my mind has been completely changed after tonight. HHH seemed 100% out of place tonight, and im really hoping that HHH isnt back to bury all these young studs, and god damnit he better not manipulate his way to breaking the undertaker's streak. i didnt mind the no words staredown last week, but i hope this gets better as his return storyline goes, but its got me a little worried.

-i have to disagree, guys like miz, dolph, del rio, wade and cody are all dreadful, they have no skill, and dont really stand out.
-however triple hhh seemed to be smiling and seemingly trying hold back some tears of happiness, i couldnt help but notice that he was smiling, though he was stuttering alot (repeating himself) but still, i was just glad to see him back.
-i think that takers streak is in the clear, they have no reason to break it, i hope it goes 20-0 at least before taker retires.

He was probably just a bit rusty. He hasnt cut a live promo for months, and probably was confident enough to think he could go out there and do it without practicing much.

He will improve in the run up to Mania, don't worry. Triple H is one of the best talkers out there, always has been. He will not let us down.

I don't think Triple H was out of place at all. The crowd was cheering for him hardcore, I don't know what you guys were hearing...He got more of a pop last week than Taker did. I think it's somewhat refreshing to have him back, considering for the past year it has only been Randy and Cena. I'm tired of the two of them quite frankly.

Yeah Triple H looked a little older and stuff, but he's very much still needed. I'm just really upset that he beat the crap out of Sheamus. I figured Sheamus was gonna get on the mic and start talking trash and then they would have had a match for that night or within the next few weeks. Maybe they still will.

I'm very happy Hunter is back and he is still great on the mic. No one can take that away from him.

It's personal, and not about Shawn, which I'm pleased with.

As it should be. I don't understand the need of so many people to get Shawn Michaels involved. Taker/HBK has been laid to rest, there's no need to pull it out for Taker/HHH. Since this match is Taker/HHH, then Taker/HHH are the only two men need to get involved.
