TNAWrestlingNews.com has learned that Jazz is expected to debut at TNA Bound For Glory.

-TNAWrestlingNews.com

I wouldn't mind Jazz one bit, and I hope she stays, sure she's another WWE wrestler, but she's another talented woman wrestle that can do just that wrestle, and I think she'll be able to do well in TNA...The Women's division is looking real good in TNA so far...Does anyone remember the Gail Kim/Jazz matches over the title in WWE they use to have...they use to be pretty good...

With the rumors of Jazz, Nidia and Ariel all set to debut with TNA and with Gail Kim in the picture, the TNA Women's division more seems like a duplication of the WWE's older Women's division. I'm not too high on the Women's division in professional wrestling but I just see it as another step up to become a better duplication of the "big boys" which piratically pisses me off to say the least.

actually Jazz is ECW and was later brought into WWE, but that's good as i know she can wrestle which is probably what thia woman's division will be woman *gasp* WRESTLING on national tv.

I am kind of excited for the Women's division in TNA. They have some women in their company currently that are really good wrestlers like Traci Brooks, Nikki Roxx, Gail Kim and Jackie Moore. With the addition of Jazz it should make for a solid womens division. I hope they fill it out with some good indy wrestlers like Lacey, Sara Del Rey, or Daizze Haze. Heck maybe even some wrestlers from W.o.W. would be entertaining.

In addition to TNA's current knockouts - Ms. Brooks, Gail Kim, Jacqueline Moore, Christy Hemme, and Roxy Laveaux (Nikki Roxx), TNA will be bringing in OVW's ODB, Shelly Martinez (Ariel in ECW), Talia Madison, The Amazing Kong (Shimmer), and former WWE developmental diva Angel Williams for the 10/14 Bound for Glory women's gauntlet match.

-Gerweck.net

Now there is no Jazz....not a bad list though, I never considered Ariel WWE material, since she didn't wrestle at all....could be a good match, I think Gail Kim wins the title...

Looks like TNA is going to take its womens division pretty seriously. To me it looks nothing like a replica of the WWE and seems like it will promote wrestlers rather than divas. I dont know much about these ladies but i did look up some info and pics of them and it looks like "The Amazing Kong" will kill all of these ladies. Still hope they go with gail for the win.

From WZ.com

TNA will be crowning their first ever Women's Champion in a 10-women gauntlet match at their annual Bound For Glory pay-per-view next month in Atlanta.

Jim Cornette noted that the match would feature "five girls you know" and "five girls you don't know." Christy Hemme, Gail Kim, Ms. Brooks, Jackie Moore and Roxxi Laveaux are pretty much locks to appear in the match.

According to WrestleZone .com, the five other names contacted and likely booked for the match include Northeast women's wrestler Talia Madison, former ECW Diva Shelly "Ariel" Martinez, ODB (who regularly appears on OVW shows, but is without a WWE developmental contract), Angel Williams, and international women's wrestler Amazing Kong. According to WrestleZone .com, Talia Madison and Shelly "Ariel" Martinez have been 100% confirmed to appear in the match.

The girl who seems to have the best chance at securing a permanent spot in the company is Martinez because TNA is already thinking about using her as a valet for LAX or James Mitchell's group. Also, TNA is very interested in using Angel Williams and also feel that Amazing Kong would be make for a great addition to the company.

Other names being tossed around for the women's division/gauntlet match include April Hunter, Sarah Stock and So Cal Val. Val would probably only be used as a backup in case someone can't make it. Sarah Stock is a pretty girl that works under the name "Dark Angel" for CMLL in Mexico. WrestleZone .com is reporting that TNA would like to bring her in for the women's division, but there could be a hold-up due to the transportation costs if she chooses stay in Mexico City.

It should be noted that no one has been signed to a contract as of yet, just contacted and possibly booked. The gauntlet match will be a "tryout match" of sorts for the five uncontracted ladies. Depending on how things go during the match, the girls who put on the best performances will likely be offered contracts.

Looking at that list you have to say TNA is going to make an effort to least make this first gantlet for the Womens gold be something that they are taking serious. Its nice to see they are interest in some women that haven't been in WWE before but out of all that can compete in this I see Shelly staying as she can play a role for LAX or Mitchell's monster.

Rest of the women the list seems good enough to make this somewhat interesting though i really hope TNA doesn't start to get Val in the ring. But looking at the list quite impressive if they can land some of those names.

Amazing Kong? Are you shitting me? this woman is unstoppable, I would bet hard cash that Chyna in her prime couldn't stop Kong, and knowing that, how are the other women in TNA going to fare against her. Kong has DESTROYED Nikki Roxx (Roxy Laveaux), MsChif, Cheerleader Melissa, Nattie Niedhart, and soon, she'll have destroyed Sara Del Ray for the Shimmer Title. If TNA brings this woman to their promotion, NONE of the other women will stand a chance.

I second that.

Just by looking at the list of possible female wrestlers (Talia Madison, The Amazing Kong, and Angel Williams) I see a lot of REAL WRESTLING TALENT. WWE is a joke in comparison.

I'm glad TNA is doing things right.

:headbanger:

Wow, I hope TNA doesn't screw this up. They could have an amazing Women's division if done right, pretty much all the listed women are great talents. Just imagine if TNA had the likes of Mickie James or Nattie Neidhart, the feuds would be awesome!

It would be very interesting to see Shelly Martinez (Ariel in ECW) wrestle, and it'll be cool if they make her work with James Mitchell and Judas Mesias.

Angel Williams has real wrestling talent, Talia Madison is the current WEW World Champion, and Amazing Kong is the current NWA World Women's Champion.

I've been watching some videos of these female wrestlers, and researching their accomplishments, and I was really really impressed.

This will finally make me watch women wrestling matches.

:headbanger:

Reading this news really makes me happy. I've always been a fan of women's wrestling, and having lived through the 80's/90's heydey of women's wrestling (culminating in Madus'a reign), look at the product WWE laughably calls a women's division with disgust. Candace Michelle?????

If done well, this could be good. Now if they'll just continue to develop the division, rather than turn it into between-match eyecandy (pillow fight title matches, anyone?) like the WWE has, I'll be golden.

I know that I'm going to get heat for this but i need to say it. TNA has offically got two hours for TV. And whats the first thing they do???? Add a womens division.. ARE YOU SERIOUS?? OH my god!! I am so sick of TNA being dumb. Why do you need a womens division?? WHY??? Women wrestlers (I hate to say it) do not draw!!! In wrestling they're good for T-N-A not wrestling.. Hey I got an idea now that you have two hours why do you finally let your x division shine. Yea lets not do that cause that would be way to smart of us to do. God I hate what TNA does sometimes. Its so frustrating as a fan.. And heres my point: Would you rather purchase a ALL X DIVISION PPV or AN ALL WOMENS WRESTING PPV?? My point is proven. Have you ever here of the wrestling promotion called WOW?? If you don't that is an all womens wrestling promotion called Women Of Wrestling.. They had a PPV once and it bombed.. WHY you ask? Cause women dont sell the wrestling product.. WWE has a womens match every week on Raw. And if you listen the crowd is dead or they use it for a bathroom break before the main event of the night. I don't mean any disrespect for the women that do wrestle cause there are plenty of talented women wrestlers out there. But the problem is America is not into the women of wrestling!

TNA should be focusing on your X Division. I hate how they bury the x division when they were the reason 99% of all original TNA fans starting watching. But lets not do anything with them, lets start a womens division!! God TNA pisses me off!!!

I could'nt disagree with u more. Yes women's wrestling arent as big of draws as the men but their are alot of people who love to watch womens wrestling and not just for "T & A". I thin TNA made a great choice by adding a womens division. As long as they dont screw it up like the wwe. Roxxi Leaveux, Jackie Moore, Gail Kim, Amazing Kong are all great athletes and if TNA pulls this off right i bet many wwe womens division fans will turn to TNA for real womens wrestling.

I don't disagree that yes they are awesome in the ring!! But in America women wrestling doesn't sell. you said that people who like women wrestling will now tune into TNA if they do it right. I so disagree with that statement. The people that would switch over to watch a womens match is so minimal that it wouldn't matter or you won't see the difference in rating.. Does TNA need a womens division? NO Would it make the TNA product better? Yes, but its not a needed right now. They finally get there 2 hours of Impact a week. Now is the time to get your story lines going and x division back in order since they've been screwed over the year and a half.. You establish what you need right now and then add later. I just think its waist at this point to add this division at this time.

i really like the sound of what they are trying to achieve and now they have some major talents it will be great to watch and will be 10 times better than the wwe brands division

Womens wrestling in America doesn't sell? Have you ever heard of a Promotion called Shimmer? I would bet money that you haven't, especially when WOW is the best reference to an American Women's wrestling PPV that you can come up with. Chickfight? Ringing any bells. Shimmer is regarded as the sister company of ROH. They are allot alike in many ways and many of the fans, even the ones that don't usually like Womens wrestling, treat both companies with the same respect.

Well obviously TNA is digging deep into the goldmine known as the Shimmer roster, as they've already signed the likes of Jazz, Talia Madison, and Amazing Kong. Have you ever seen Amazing Kong? The odds are that with this chick alone, the TNA womens division will draw, hell if TNA is as invested in the womens division as they come across to be, the Womens division could potentially out draw the X Division or Even the Tag Team division as they are right now.

And also what would you rather see, some half ass match on RAW with watered down talent, or would you rather see some the best womens wrestlers in the world today put on a match with no limitations, and hopefully with good storylines with an actual depth and meaning behind them, not these petty bullshit storylines that feul the WWE womens division. Your decision should be a no contest, TNA

I would much rather purchase a Womens PPV, especially one like Shimmer
s or The Chickfight Tournament, over a PPV from a company like ROH

To be honest, i have never heard of Shimmer beyond when TNA said was gonna get some women from it. And i'm sure most wrestling fans have never heard of them either. Not to say they are bad or anything, but that's the facts. It would be nice if TNA was serious about the women's division so there is something else going on in TNA besides Joe and Angle flipping sides every other week, or the Dr. Nash stuff, but it just seems like women are type-casted in wrestling as eye candy. Look at damn near any picture or avatar of a woman wrestler in a match, and chances are, its mainly because its a sexy pose, not because of some amazing move.
Also, a reason why women's divisions haven not been taken seriously in decades is simply because of lack of talent. Probably for every 250 men who attempt to become a wrestler, 1 woman will apply. Then out of the 250 men, perhaps 15 will make it through boot camp and if lucky, 5 into a WWE farm organization. With those averages for men, it's even harder for women, then if they do get into a farm org, they may take the route of a Stacy Keibler or Marlena or other eye candy, instead of a in-ring wrestler.
So, add all that up, and see how many in-ring women's wrestlers there are, and factor in how hard it is to 'create' a women's wrestler, and there is the reason why in WWE/F, WCW and probably TNA, why women's wrestling is doomed to failure from the start. TNA may have good intentions, but good intentions can't make up for simple numbers. I give it 9 months before the TEN performers they have either bug out, get injured or otherwise go back to their current TNA roles.

im really into the womens division in tna it seems so much more "WOW" than wwe right now!mickie james is practically being wasted have her vs beth in a real womens fued or even give the belt to jillian that wud b interesting!!!if tna push their women properly then i will religiously watch tna over wwe!!!!

If you look back at all the womens matches in TNA over the last year, the majority of them have been excellent(Gail Kim v Jackie Moore-Six Sides Of Steel and street fight, the recent 5 women gauntlet on Impact! and Gail Kim/Eric Young v Ms.Brooks/Robert Roode where the women outshone the men).As long as they don't litter it with eye candy or have Knockout searches the TNA womens division will be competitive and entertaining.

i know it's bn said...but it needs to be wrestling with talented wrestlers. and from the lineup they have, TNA has that. as much as i'd like to see Gail Kim come away with the belt, everyone knows she has talent so it'd be interesting to see someone else like roxxi get a shot.

Does anyone know how much of the talent is just a one night shot and who they're keeping?

Well apparently TNA's women's division is better then expected. It's gaining the highest amount of ratings for the show which is huge. I know I'm one of them that only watch TNA for the women!

I am still in shock that Amazing Kong is with TNA. I love her. But I just don't see how anyone will be able to beat this women at all. Her facial expressions and her matches always tell a story!

Angel Williams looks like Ashley with alot of talent. She should be a great addition.

Sadly Jazz hasn't signed with TNA and I really wished she would have. She would have been awesome and an Amazing Kong vs. Jazz match would've been great to see. But never say never, she could come one day!

I'm really enjoying TNA's women's division. They have alot of amazing talent "Gail, Roxxi, Jackie, Martinez, Madison, Kong, ect. I really think TNA should really keep it up and soon Tna will start to steal all wwe "diva" fans away. Gail Kim also as champion is great credibility since she was a former wwe champion, but i would have like Roxxi or Shelly "Ariel" Martinez cuz there different.

they should bring mollyholly in she was great!!! her matches with lita in the wwe werent that good (due to the fault of lita) but her matches with victoria and trish stratus were really enjoyable.

I don't know why TNA Even bothers with the Knockouts division, I myself think its just a waste of TNA Spance, and a waste of extra skips on my TiVo. Seriously, is TNA just trying to copy the footsteps of the WWE? WWE had already screwed up on making a divas division, the diva matches are just something WWE throws into WWE TV if they ran out of ideas for the actual show.
