It's been some time since something like this has been done in pro-wrestling, but I can't help but feel that despite the shows decline over the years, this is still positive exposure for the company, no? It may not be the longest-running weekly episodic television show in history, but it's exposure nonetheless!

Thoughts?

If it has Anderson it's bound to be funny, but they use RVD way too much. As for the knockouts, the perverts will be happy.

I understand it's probably been taped for some time now but wouldn't the fact that Matt Morgan is in Fortune (and perhaps Immortal) and teaming with major faces in the company on a show be confusing to some? After all, the whole reason the "Curtain Call" incident was so major was because of just this reason.

To be honest, Family Feud has an entirely different demographic (IMO) where it's on during the day and is mainly a daytime show with an audience of the elderly, stay-at-home mom's, and nanny's or housecleaners while TNA is more of a much younger audience that are either working during the Family Feud, or they're still sleeping from partying too much the night before.

I don't necessarily see anything wrong with it...although I don't really think it's going to do much of anything as far as being positive for them. IMO anyway.

First TMZ and JWOWW, then Mick's book on WWE programming, then it's Family Feud. I'm proud of these guys for finally getting into the public's eye. Of course it isn't talk shows and movie deals but its good enough. They need to focus a bit more on gaining attention from the media kind of like what WWE did with the rock n' wrestlin' connection back in the 80s. This put the WWE on the map. Nowadays, with internet, magazines, and commercials selling like crazy, it should be a lot easier to gain some attention. They have guys like Ric Flair, Mick Foley, and most of all Hulk Hogan (the most recognizable figure ever in wrestling) to gain the world's attenion, use them. Then they'll be set. But as for the Family Feud thing, HUGE props to TNA for getting out there a bit.

This is good publicity for TNA. I had no idea that this game show still aired. I knew a few years ago that the guys from Home Improvement and Seinfeld were hosting the show. Steve Harvey hosts now? I don't even know what channel it will be on, but wrestlers on game shows have always been funny.

Let's not forget Mickie James and Jeff Hardy trending number 1 on Twitter last weekend.

I wonder if their new marketer has anything to do with the buzz they've created and continuing to create. Kurt Angle will be staring in a theater movie called "Beyond the Mat" which will also create some more publicity going forward.

they announced the week, but what time is it on? I think Family Feud is on NBC at 3 PM. I don't know if this network is in the US, but here in Canada we have a network called Peachtree or something like that. Peachtree has Family Feud on at noon. it replaced TBS which we no longer get in Canada. at least not on the satellite I have.

I'll definitely be looking forward to the Knockouts.

These shows have been in the can for a couple of months now. Family Feud is produced at Universal Orlando so this is a natural fit. Granted the Family Feud audience demographic isn't exactly TNA's demographic, but any publicity like this is good publicity. As far as the mix of wrestlers in each "family" is concerned, I don't think it makes much difference on this show if a heel is with a face because most viewers won't know the difference. Besides the show itself, the promos for the show will give TNA some outside exposure, which is a good thing.

TNA has been on a good roll as of late and this is some great exposure for them. I don't really know what the statistics are for wrestling fans watching Family Feud but the fact that they are on a major network and on a show that depicts them out of their element is a good thing in my eyes. It will be interesting to see if this does really help them out, but I like this move.
