TNA Brawls.

Occasional Pre-Show
Is it me or is TNA having brawls, a little too often?
(I mean not that GENME and MCMG's brawl was that bad.....)

For Example,
lets go back to before Bound for Glory. We had Hardy-Abyss brawling, we had Angle Abyss brawling etc. EV2 brawling with Fortune. Knockouts brawling. Joe and JJ brawling with Sting and Nash.

After Bound For Glory
Knockout's still brawling. EV2 Brawling with Fortune. Fortune brawling with Morgan. Samoa Joe brawling with JJ. etc.

Run-ins then brawling is kinda ok for me cause i like that aspect. So should brawling come once in a while or almost every week.

Your thoughts please. :)

This is something I've noticed quite a bit recently. We have weeks where just about everyone seems to be brawling backstage at some point. My problem with it stems not from the brawls but for how long they go on for. We've had a few times now where, in particular with the knockouts, they've seemed to spend the whole show brawling and not actually achieving anything. I'm okay with backstage fights because they make total sense and can add to things but they shouldn't go on for anymore than a few minutes.

I'm so tired of the brawls TNA shows, they're all the same thing. It's always before the event starts and someone's ass crack is always showing (although it was admittedly nicer when it was Mickie James as opposed to Jeff Hardy)

Like the OP said, the MCMG/Gen-Me "fight" on Reaction doesn't apply here because that was actually pretty f'n cool. But as for the rest of the backstage brawls, I agree that they've become way too common. I've never really liked them for the following reasons:

1. Frankly, they're usually pretty boring. Great wrestlers are limited to brawling and hardcore shit. It also exposes the bad actors as their grunts and yells sound incredibly forced/fake. You also get the occasional heel who makes really awful taunts while he's attacking.

2. They rarely accomplish anything. It's one thing if a guy gets seriously fucked-up and it sticks in a storyline, like Abyss' attack on RVD, but for the most part they just come off as lazy filler. They do little-to-nothing hype the match between the two guys later that night or further the feud/story.

3. They almost always end with the stupidest thing in wrestling... the backstage/security crew pull-apart. It's hilarious to me when a guy like Abyss, who can go into a battle royal and clear house on ten guys, is suddenly powerless against the restraining power of Al Snow and three roadies. I know it's not the only inconsistency in pro-wrestling, but it's probably my biggest pet-peeve. I also love how they'll sometimes let the guys fight for 5 minutes before security finally runs out. "Okay guys... NOW this is getting out of hand!"
