What a bad ending to this week's show. Too much is too much, TNA, come on. That must be Russo's writing right there. Wouldn't the people playing with the lights have to be in the same place to turn the arena lights off and on? This angle no longer holds any intrigue for me, it just seems unbelievable and silly like old WCW.

Here are some more detailed spoilers for this weeks Impact

TNA Impact Taping
Orlando, Fla. at Universal Studio
Report by Dot Net reader Emmanuel Cruz

First off, as always there was a massive line stretching for more than a hundred yards in the general audience entrance and many of them did not get inside whatsoever, prompting the typical angry TNA mob outside the studio doors. As someone who has had to endure those lines before smarting up and getting VIP'd, TNA really, really needs to do a better job managing that. Anyway, on to the results:

The show opens with Jeremy Borash hyping up crowd as always, t-shirts are tossed, and then a dark match is announced.

Dark Match

1. The Motor City Machine Guns and Consequences Creed defeated Shark Boy, Super Eric, and Curry Man. The match was quickly paced with some nice spots from all the competitors and pops galore for all the Machine Guns' constant posing and playing to the crowd.

Impact Taping

Next was the Impact opening pyro, and then a video where Kevin Nash and Samoa Joe pull up and get out of a car together starting an interview segment. Joe and Nash talk about the Jarrett Guitar/Sting Bat situation.

1. Christian Cage and Rhino defeated The Rock and Rave Infection. Nothing huge here, nice spot at the end with Rhino goring Lance Rock, and Cage hitting the Frog Splash for the three count immediately after.

There were interviews with Kurt Angle and A.J. Styles separately and back to back. They both put over Angle's neck injury and announced the main event for the night—an Olympic style mat wrestling match with no ropes on the ring and three two minute periods, scored as such: two points for a takedown, two for a near fall, and four points for a pinfall.

2. Matt Morgan squashed Johnny Devine. After the match, Team 3D came out and beat the hell out of Morgan along with Devine. The arena went dark and then Abyss appeared. He cleaned house and then shook hands with Morgan.

3. Black Machismo Jay Lethal beat Sheik Abdul Bashir. After match, Bashir beat Lethal down and then Sonjay Dutt came in and did some damage as well. There was a backstage segment with Lethal saying he loves Val but would rather defeat Dutt.

4. Team 3D defeated Kevin Nash and Samoa Joe via disqualification. Initially, Joe made Devon tap with a rear naked choke. After the match, Joe pummeled Devon and gave him a few chair shots. He was warned by Earl Hebner to stop. Joe responded by decking Hebner in the face. Thus, the disqualification.

5. TNA Knockouts Champ Taylor Wilde defeated Christy Hemme with Traci Brooks as special referee. Yet more post-match interference, this time from Awesome Kong, who beat Wilde senselessly until Gail Kim ran in for the save. Kong and Kim trade offense with Kim eventually gaining the upper hand to, no lie, the biggest pop of the night.

6. Hernandez defeated James Storm. A surprisingly good match between the two with Hernandez dominating for the most part. They sold the Homicide injuries by not having him present at ringside with Salinas and Hector Guerrero.

7. A. J. Styles def. Kurt Angle via pinfall/points in an Olympic medal match. The stipulation of the match was if A.J. won, he got Angle's Olympic Gold medal. There were three two minute long periods of wrestling, amateur style with Angle dominating the first period with takedowns, Styles dominating the second with near-falls, and Styles winning the third via pinfall after a smash on Angle's head with Jarrett's guitar while the referee was knocked down from a previous accidental blow.

Just before the end of the third round and with the score tied, the Impact Zone went dark. Sting's music hit, the lights came up, and Angle was suddenly brandishing a black baseball bat. Just before Angle swings at A.J.'s head, the Impact Zone goes dark again, Jarrett's music hit, the lights came up, and Styles was holding Jarrett's guitar. Styles smashed Angle with it for the win, and gave Angle yet another nasty gash.

End of Show

This angers me I like both men but 3 straight victories over Angle??? I mean come on they're almost burying Angle here and having AJ win Kurt's medal is lame. I mean he already took Kurt's wife and now he's taking his gold medal his most prized possesion and something more inportant than Karen if u ask me. Have u heard her voice? But in all seriousness I hope this feud is over so AJ can stop squashing Kurt. Why not have Angle win once and the 6 man tag matches don't count im talking one on one. They're pushing Angle as the greatest ever and then they go and have him lose 3 straight times to the guy. It isn't a passing the torch thing either bc they hate each other. So it's pointless. TNA Booking strikes again.

* Consequences Creed and Jay Lethal defeated X Division Champion Petey Williams and Sheik Abdul Bashir after some miscommunication between the heels. Sheik and Petey got into a scuffle after the match.

Sting said he got involved in Joe’s match against Booker T at the pay-per-view because Joe could have simply beaten Booker but Joe tried to take it too far and disrespect a legend and then flipped off Sting. Sting said he used to see Joe as TNA’s future but he can’t be if he does stuff like that. Stinf says Ric Flair showed him respect when he was young. Sting calls out any of the young stars if they have a problem with that. AJ Styles comes out. Sting says Styles disrespected him by calling him a coward and took his match with Kurt Angle too far as well. AJ says he helped build TNA from the beginning. TNA iMPACT 9/18/08

Opened with a Samoa Joe promo saying the same thing he's been saying, about how Sting isn't dedicated to the cause because he doesn't work a full schedule even though he's paid so much.

A.J. Styles & Christian Cage b Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin. Sabin & Shelley flipped off Christian after the match causing a pull-apart

Show ended with Jeff Jarrett doing a promo saying that Sting was wrong and Joe and Styles are the new stars of wrestling and he's jealous. He said Joe and Styles made TNA before either Sting or Booker were with the promotion. Angle came out and challenged Jarrett to a match, but Jarrett said he wasn't ready. Jarrett said he knew someone who would face Angle and pointed at the screen where Mick Foley was shown.

Hmmm, I must say that TNA possibly not going with Angle vs. Jarrett and BFG is a very interesting move. Jarrett vs. Angle could be a helluva feud, if not the feud that really recognizes TNA. Jarrett is one of the most criminally underrated in ring performers there is and Kurt Angle is freaking Kurt Angle.

Mick Foley vs. Kurt Angle. Boy oh boy where can you start with that one? I'm intrigued by this match, yet worried at the same time. Mick Foley is how many years removed from his last match, 2 1/2? You're going to put him in the ring in his first match against a cardiovascular wrestling machine like Kurt Angle? I'm not even sure Kurt has what it takes if Mick is sucking wind, I'm intrigued, but cautiously concerned with this potential match.

Beer Money comes to the ring in street clothes. They discuss those who aren't doing too well. First, Salinas..then Hector Guerrero. They say the tag team competition in TNA is horrible and if they don't have competition they can't make money and without money Storm can't buy beer. From now on, they have issued an open challenge to any team in TNA or anyone in the world. They discuss LAX, Team 3D and Morgan & Abyss. Even brought up the Rock N Roll Express and the Midnight Express. Team 3D came out onto the ramp. they get cut off immediately by Morgan & Abyss, who are immediately cut off by LAX. Foley". Angle says how Jarrett told him he's lost everything, his gold medal, his wife. He says.."Jeff, it looks like I'm not the only one who's lost his wife". He turns to Foley..asks him what did he ever do. Foley & Angle go back and forth.. Foley says how he got to watch a lot of great mentions and says Angle was the greatest acquisition in TNA history. At BFG, Foley says he needs to be that close to prove to himself that Kurt is that good. Kurt asks, What? You wanna take Don West's place and do commentary?' Foley says no, he wants to be even closer...and he's going to be the special enforcer with his match against Jeff Jarrett. Says "Kurt read my lips...its true! Its damn true!" Foley makes his way up the ramp and says, 'See you in Chicago!'

- The TNA Originals led by Rhino come to the ring. Rhino says he has taken the liberty to name the group the TNA Frontline. He talks about what it means and talks about ECW. He says that frankly, "ECW is the sh**s now" and that just like he believed in the original ECW, he believes in TNA. He says to prove that he will rid TNA of Kurt Angle at Final Resolution. He tells Samoa Joe and AJ Styles they will take care of the rest at the PPV, but, with no disrespect to the other members of the Frontline, they aren't experienced enough. He says tonight they need to recruit more members. The Main Event Mafia comes out and Angle tells Rhino to think about what he's doing. Rhino tells Angle to kiss his a** because now he's going to get the war he wanted.

- Rhino defeated Hernandez and Sonjay Dutt in a Turkey Bowl match. The Turkey Bowl final is Rhino vs. Bashir vs. Shelley.

- Rhino, Samoa Joe and AJ Styles enter Team 3D's locker room. They ask 3D to join the Frontline. 3D asks what's in it for them. Joe tells them nothing but they should do what's right. Devon and Joe have words and Brother Ray tells Devon that's exactly the lack of respect that the Mafia is talking about.

- Lauren asks 3D about being asked to join the Frontline. As Ray begins to talk, Scott Steiner arrives and tells them the Mafia has an offer they can't refuse and they go with him.

Shelley is hesitant but finally puts it on. Foley makes some jokes at his expense. Shelley says the only pro out of this is the picture he'll get to put on his Myspace and gives Foley the finger. Foley hits Shelley with the double arm DDT.

He says Team 3D wants to be remembered like all the other great teams like The Road Warriors, The Steiners, and even Harlem Heat. He asks if they want to be remembered for what they did in the original ECW or if they want to be part of the greatest collection of champions, complete as the Magnificent Seven. Ray said that if being part of the Frontline is wrong, then 3D doesn't want to be right. They attack the Mafia and lay them out. They get a table but Sting saves Kurt Angle before they can nail him with the 3D.
