The Usos On The Rise

Pay Per Ghost

What they f*ck happened in the thread section here
Ever since The Usos started doing this for their entrance

they somehow have become a better tag team.

Their intensity and match tempo is brilliant and add to the fact that they have some very sweet tag team tandem moves just makes them a delight to watch in the ring. By far for me the best tag team in WWE right now. I wish they were given a credible feud because both guys are ok on the mic as well but against whom?

A foil for these guys can be Air Boom (Sneaky Fart haha) but Air Boom is just two high flyers put together to keep the bookers busy elsewhere.

So thoughts on The Usos and their progress from here? And please laud the Haka entrance boys.

On the rise? Not really. If you would have made this thread two or three months ago I could have agreed but they're currently doing nothing. Do they have potential? Hell to the yeah. I'm afraid with the new push to revive the tag team division, The Uso's may be the Drew McIntyre of the group; fine in ring work, ok mic skills and a cool ass entrence. Sadly, they may not be used as much as Air-Boom or some of the other soon to be randomly thrown together midcarders but I would love for them to be used. Not necessarily against Air-Boom but against a heel team who could get them a little more over then they currently are. They need to remain faces. They need air-time. They need exposure on both Raw and Smackdown - and with that, a Tag Team Title reign certainly isn't out of the question.

No, dude. They aren't on the rise. A few months ago & I would've agreed with you, but not now. And, as Hamler said, they have potential, but they're just going to get lost in the shuffle or just pushed aside for teams who were made overnight.

The Usos sucked before and they still suck now. The only thing that has changed is that their entrance is now single the most annoying thing on WWE programming, and that includes the ever unpopular EXCUSE ME of Vickie. I wouldn't say they are on the rise due to the fact that despite them being the only "true" tag team left in WWE they still have not been doing much since the tag team division revival began. These guys are probably never going to amount to anything. Losing the terrible entrance would help, and perhaps a split. They have more potential as singles wrestlers than as a tag team that never does anything relevant because if they split then at least one of them might accomplish something.

It seemed sometime ago - the people who run World Wrestling Entertainment had intention to push the Uso's and even have them hold the Tag Team titles { something that it long overdue imo} but the steam seems to have cooled down and this could have to do with one of the Uso's getting involved in a DUI. which is a shame indeed. also I know it's off topic but It's offensive how Michael Cole etc describe the Samoan Tribal dance {I am unable to spell it and calling it a Haka is incorrect} as someone who is from New Zealand and has Samoan relatives, having people refer to it as a Karate Scream! shows the ignorance and luck of interest in getting to know the source material .

Usually when I see WWE talent in a suit backstage helping out in a ProMo that they are not involved in whatsoever....such as The Diva's of Doom attacking Kelly Kelly.... its the beginning of the end or they are surplus to requirements and are put there just because they have nothing better to do.
See Michael "Cena was mean to me" Tarver. Chris Masters.... Heck he was backstage all the time, whenever ANYTHING went down.

The USO's are doing NOTHING right now but appearences on Shows nobody cares about and backstage Extra's.... I dont know what the hell WWE are playing at but I do believe they have seriously Dropped the ball with these two.... and Tamina should continue to be part of this team if they ever start to get a title push.

Basically what you said was "I like these guys, I think they're better than two guys I feel were just thrown together".

That's stupid for a variety of reasons.
1) They're not really anymore over than before, so no, they're not "on the rise". They COULD be. I personally love the Usos and their new entrance. However, if they're not getting more over then it doesn't matter.

2) Just because guys look similar, dress similar, and are related, doesn't mean they're better than 2 guys "thrown together".

3) For fuck's sake, Bourne and Kingston have been together for months, have a uniform entrance, wear similar clothes, have great team chemistry, put on great matches, and are very over as a team. They aren't "thrown together while the bookers do something else" or whatever BS you said. They were put together strategically to build the tag division, which they have done a great job at.

I will agree with you on this, the Usos would make a great foil to Air Boom. Once the tag championships are built up enough to be a draw on their own (notice Air Boom has been beating singles stars teaming up so the match has more relevance with the audience, matches against the Usos wouldnt' do that because there isn't as much interest and not as much relevance), then you'll see Air Boom vs other tag teams like the Usos.

Everything in wrestling needs a "measuring stick". In TNA, if the title match is Samoa Joe vs AJ Styles, the average fan knows these guys are the best in TNA, but don't really know how good they are. If it's Samoa Joe vs Kurt Angle, they know Joe is really good.

Same thing here. Air Boom vs The Usos is just 4 guys fighting for a title. If Air Boom beats Miz/Truth, Zwaggler, etc then people know "these guys are a GREAT team" and so once that gets permanently imprinted in people's minds, then you can go anywhere you want. However, you MUST build up the titles first and to do that, you MUST build up the champs first.

Why do you think movies promote the director's? "From Steven Spielberg" "From Christopher Nolan" etc? It's because otherwise it's just some other blockbuster, but when you attach the names, there is an expected level of quality, it's a draw. It's letting you know "this is a big deal". Without Air Boom beating bigger stars, then it's just 4 guys in a match. With Air Boom beating stars, then there's that "expected level of quality".

I would not say they are on the rise, however I do believe they are improving every time we see them. They are improving in the ring, they seem to have more energy and they're getting a better reaction, but when it comes to moving up in the ranks they're not exactly burning it up. The thing is, it's not because they're bad it's because they aren't the only ones improving and trying to get ahead, they have some stiff competition in Air Boom who have become a huge team, The Awesome Truth and now we have Hunico, Epico and Primo banned together. My point here is that I don't see them becoming the talk of Smackdown just yet, they'll hang around and keep performing and getting better, they'll have their time. Also I will add that I enjoy their entrance as well.

I think "on the rise" is a little too strong of a phrase when talking about the Uso's. I like them alot and I hope they do get a legit shot at the WWE Tag Titles when they mean something. The WWE is doing a great job of trying to make the titles mean something again with Air Boom so whenever the time comes for the Uso's to step up, it will be worth it. So no I don't think they are on the rise, but I do think they are a great tag team and will one day soon be on the top of the tag team mountain.

I wouldn't say they're on the rise because they haven't been involved in any real angles and have really been overshadowed by Air Boom, Awesome Truth, and now even the Hunico/Epico/Primo faction. However, I do enjoy their in-ring work. I think they have tremendous chemistry in the ring and their entrance isn't that bad especially since the Uso Siva Tau war dance they perform is a throwback to their Samoan heritage. No, they're not on the rise yet but they could be in the future especially if WWE is serious about rebuilding the tag team division.

On the rise of getting off one of the unimportant mid week shows? For them to have the debut they had attaching Hart Dynasty it really went downhill from there. I think they're good in-ring performers though, but with lack of teams to compete with I don't know.
