The Ultimate Jobber

Tommy Dreamer. He was more interested in putting everyone else over. That's not a bad thing but he could"ve been ECW champ many times in the late 90's. Then he went to WWE and jobbed to everyone

I remember Dreamer jobbing to Raven for what? Like two straight years. My time may be a bit off but yeah, Dreamer was a serious badass jobber.

I also wanted to bring up another jobber from back in the day. Owen Hart. Before his feud with Bret, what exactly had he done? Blue Blazer lost to everybody. Koko and Owen lost to every tag team out there at the time.

My favorite jobber is my main man Gillberg. he was always my favorite I was one of the few he was always hopeing for him to get his lucky night and find out who's first. Gillberg will always be a classic jobber. Wrestlemania should be Cena vs Gillberg instead

the wild card jobbers would be Chris Duffy and Leory Howard. I watched Leory get destroyed by Mantaur once and Chris Duffy was just a goofy looking out of shape guy who would always get his ass kicked another Wrestlemania match battle of the jobbers no dq Leory Howard vs Chris Duffy

Nice thread. ECW had some great jobbers back in the early days. El Puerto Ricano, and Joel Hartgood.

They would really make guys like Taz, and The Eliminators look good. Watching those guys get folded in half with Tazplexes, and Total Elimination was a thing of beauty. Youtube them if you want to see a complete beatdown.

I like the angle they did through 1995 with jobbers like Don E. Allen, and the Broad Street Bully as well. They would come out and put on a "WCW Saturday Night" match until the "Enforcer of Extreme" 911 would come out and shut it down to choke slam them into oblivion.

Would Vince and Shane-O count? If yes, that's my pick, specifically Shane. I'm truly a numnuts on the subject of jobbers, but these two seemed clear to me to be "enhancement talent" as far as their on-air personalities go, but they were both in positions to do the job of 15 jobbers in a single match because of their positions in the company.

Not only that, but they were willing to go much further than I've seen any other corporate suit go for their company. You could probably do a "don't try this at home" DVD intro out of just Shane-O spots. That guy was a freaking nut. Vince did things for his company no other billionaire would even think about. He's had a ton of embarrassing moments on his shows.

Also, and I may be the odd man out on this, I've always liked both of their matches. I truly think they're talented wrestlers... and probably crazy. Great thread, thank you

Yes! I don't know if Shane-O'Mac actually counts as a jobber not not, but I had to chime in when I saw him mentioned. He did some crazy ish in the ring. I didn't believe the crazy risks he would take considering he was Vince's son, but I have to give him mad props. I can't remember him actually winning a match, so maybe he does count as a jobber.

Barry O was a great jobber in the mid 80s. He is Randy Orton's uncle for you trivia buffs.
I could list so many rubbish guys like Rusty Brooks, who I remember Hulk Hogan having a rare tv match with on Superstars of Wrestling in 1986. Steve Lombardi was pitiful, the Brooklyn Brawler gimmick actually got him over. Barry Horowitz wrestled many WWE ppvs in late 1995, I would not put him in the same category as Barry O, Rusty Brooks, Tom McGee, Jose Luis Rivera, mario Mancini(Orndorff nearly broke his neck with a sick piledriver lol), Tiger Chung Lee, Sonny Beach..they go on and on. WWE in the mid 80s television was always a superstar vs a jobber with the main event being a Saturday Nights Main Event calibrte match. Gee I miss them days

I'd say Shane McMahon aswell. He had good fueds with many superstars had good mic skills and going into his matches you were expecting an easy beatdown for a top star, only to see that star end up in a main event title-fight quality match with atleast 1 or 2 holy shit spots from shane in damn near ALL of his matches. Its a shame we don't see Shane anymore on TV, in any way. I know he looks much more aged than he did 9 years ago, but id rather see him GM'ing than teddy or ace.
