The fight that many people believe will wind up either being Fight of the Year, or at the very least in consideration for FOTY, goes down tonight. Anthony "Ninja Kick" Pettis takes on Clay "Geico Caveman" Guida with the winner likely being shot into a title opportunity, granted Gilbert Melendez chooses not to jump ship from Strikeforce by the end of the year. Both guys are exciting and young and it should make for one hell of a fight.

Not to be forgotten, the TUF 13 finale fight is also going down tonight. Ramsey Nijem vs. Tony Ferguson. I don't know anything about either guy but the winners name will forever be associated with Forrest Griffin, Rashad Evans, Diego Sanchez and Efrain Escodero....I guess that's cool for the most part.

Remember DO NOT spoil any of the undercard fights. They may be on Facebook but that does not mean everyone will be watching the stream from there. Also, those fights on the Prelims may be used on the main broadcast.

Should be a great main event. Also looking forward to Ed Herman vs. Tim Credeur.

There's some very good boxing on tonight as well. Carl Froch vs. Glen Johnson is on Showtime, and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. fights some undefeated German named Sebastian Zbik on HBO.

Great, great, GREAT night of fights.

I'll be here for this methinks. Looks like a good show.

This Cope character needs to get KOed, something about him has just irked me all season long. He seems like a raging douche.

I fucking hate Chris Cope. Guy is a waste of time and energy when his parents fucked.

Mark out for Joe and Mike comparing Cope's annoying shouts to Ric Flair's "Woo!"

I really want to see Guida vs Pettis but I just cannot be bothered watching any more. Joe Rogan just doesn't seem to care tonight. Listen to his voice, he sounds as though he is depressed.

Is Cope's nickname really "C-Murder"? That makes me hate him even more.

Guida vs. Pettis will be great!!

Man those woo chants got annoying, and Chris I think that there is a part of you that fights for the money.:rolleyes:

Gave up on it. The TV downstairs is all set up but I can't get it in my bedroom. Can't find a stream, so shit is over.

For a fight that was fought primarily on the feet, there weren't any significant shots landed that really put someone in trouble.

Kind of a boring show so far honestly. Hopefully the main event makes up for it.

I enjoyed the last fight. Fabio blocking Kingsbury's knees from the clinch and then countering with body punches was beautiful to watch. Fabio did a superb job every time the fight went to the ground as well.

Man, I can't believe those moronic judges awarded that fight to Kingsbury.

Fight Metric will prove me right.

If you count those body punches, I just don't see how there's any way anyone could award two rounds to Kingsbury.

Significant shots landed, dude. Maldonado took the rougher of the shots, he landed some great body blows, but Kyle landed the more significant shots. He got the better of the exchanges and had more significant offense if you count the takedowns.

Whose face was more fucked up at the end of the fight? Kingsbury.

And body punches ARE significant. Roop on the undercard won with a body punch. They cause a shit ton of damage, especially at the rate Fabio was throwing them.

Kingsbury landed some good knees, but that's it. Most of his other knees were blocked and countered. And takedowns? Every time Kingsbury got a takedown, Fabio either got a submission attempt, or swept him to get it back to the feet, which completely neglects Kingsbury's takedowns on the scorecard.

Wow... I was expecting a 3 round war with that fight.

Props to Ed Herman. Always thought that kid had the potential to be a beast at 185... maybe he can get it going for himself, finally.
