The Truth is AWESOME! (Miz/R-Truth)

Maddog Lionheart

Best Sig In The World......
So, from what we have saw, The Miz and R Truth have became a tag team. They have jumped CM Punk and John Cena after cameras have gone off. And now they're on the same page and may start causing havok in the WWE, or go after the Tag Team Champions.

So how do feel about this? Do you think that this is a good way to get them back in the picture of Raw or is this a boring and wasteful effort on behalf of the WWE?

I loved the promo they cut and the way they worked the crowd... that is I did love it until the rap, which I hope they don't continue. But yeah they have good chemistry on the stick and I think it's the best promo Miz has cut in recent memory if not ever.

Yeah, the rap at the end made no sense at all, (didn't Troof mention something about "no more singing and dancing for the little jimmies"?) but I totally dug the promo in the ring by both men. Truth finally had a segment I was more than just "meh" about.

I for one absolutely loved the promo, and hope that this isnt just something for Miz to turn on Truth and turn face because I see real promise in their team.

And I totally agree that their name should be the awesome truth, it just fits so well.

I think the miz and r truth teamin up is amazing! I was never a truth fan untill he turnd heel the only thing that made him tolerable was his rappin now i got the best of both worlds.Miz is awesome aswell. A+ in my book

The crowd was great tonight. They really made that segment much better. You could see Miz and Truth feeding off them. If the crowd was dead, the segment wouldn't have had the same pizazz or whatever you want to call it.

See, I'm an R-Truth fan, so I kind of liked it... I've never really liked the Miz to be honest, but he's been growing on me a bit lately now that he's not Champion and is just playing super heel.

Don't know how these guys will work as a tag-team to be honest, but I think that this might be part of WWE's effort to revive the tag-team division. It would be really great if they do and for us to actually get some 'serious' tag-teams in there once again. No more of these duos like we've been seeing.

Personally, I enjoyed it, and I look forward to seeing what's gonna happen with them. In all honesty, it's the only logical situation for both guys. Ziggler, Swagger and Riley are in the US Title picture, and I don't think I need to discuss the WWE Title situation. These guys are two of the best mic workers on Raw right now (not THE best, just among the best imo) as well as being two of the more consistent ring workers going right now, and with all the talk of WWE hoping to revamp the tag team division, I think this is the perfect move for them. You take two guys who are popular with the crowd, but not completely over with them in Kofi and Bourne, and give them the belts. Then, you have Miz and R-Truth team up and give Kofi and Bourne their first rivalry. With two of the most popular guys on Raw, both of whom are in the top 3 heels on the show, going after the tag belts together, that not only will bring attention back to the division, it'll begin make the belts mean something again, as well as elevating Kofi and Bourne, both of whom are long overdue for a push I feel.

She I'm kinda of the same, but opposite of you.
I've always liked the Miz, but never really been an R-truth fan. But I'm starting to grow on R-truth since he's turned heel and especially now since he is teaming up with the Miz.

This was arguably the best promo ever for both men, and I'm extremely excited to see what the do next week (which is coming from someone who hates the Miz). If they're trying to use these two to revamp the tag division, this is an interesting yet solid route that I fully support but if this is just to keep these two guys relevant and hot than it's a logical remedy that I fully support

Something I have seen mentioned. If they are a tag team and they win the titles that means you will get The Miz on both RAW and Smackdown. That is good for business.

when miz and truth first jumped santino i was confused as to why they did it then when they cut their promo i loved every minute of it! miz and truth really arent doing anything right now and while miz could easily be back in the wwe title picture this isnt a horrible move even the rap was funny as they werent doing it for the little jimmys they were making fun of the little jimmys with it! miz and truth worked good together on the mic i dont see them going for the tag team titles i see them more wrecking havoc on the raw roster and destorying everybody and anybody that gets in their way but then again down the road i see them going for the tag team titles but it wont happen right away

If you want the tag titles to appear prestigious again, which even the RAW announce team had trouble convincing us they were during the match, you need main event caliber talent involved. I like it, and Miz has kinda hinted at the conspiracy deal without using that word the last few weeks, talking about how he's left out of the main event picture and how his summerslam match hadn't even been announced.

THE CONSPIRACY IS GANNA GET GOT! I actually dont see this duo as a acutal tag team that will run for the tittles or anything. I see these guys PROBABLY working a few matches together but there mostly ganna battle these conspiracy theory and prove that they deserve everything. The will cut promos together and just be like a secondary part in the fued. Kinda like a tag team single's fued thing if u get what im saying. :l

No they're not a tag team, a coalition more like. They are way passed Tag Team championships so that would be a step backward. What they need to do is somehow get themselves into a triple threat for the WWE title and work together throughout the match, duke it out then let the pieces fall as they may. That's what I think will and should happen.

This was awesome! (no pun intended). I had to figure that their attack on Santino was going to lead to some kind of promo announcing their formation as a team.

Let me go on record to say that R-Truth is one of my top-3 favorite commodities in WWE right now. As for the Miz, well, I didn't think too much of the Miz at all despite proving himself both in the ring (vs John Morrison Falls Count Anywhere) and on the microphone (Jeremy Piven). Still don't. But that's a whole 'nother subject. All that being said, both guys KILLED it out there tonight. Both Truth and Miz alike had the crowd in the palms of their hands, and garnered some mega heat. From Truth exchanging in a battle of "WHAT's" with the crowd to Miz comparing them to ducks, it was truly a great promo.

Their personalities totally contrast one another, but I think it has the potential to be a great alliance. Both are pretty much established Raw main eventers, or at least upper carders anyway, so I would compare this to the formation of Rated-RKO in that sense. It also proved WWE is going to seriously bring prestige back to the tag team division. How do you do that? Build teams. How do you build teams? Put two guys together, and use matches (Londrick) or promos (Bookdust). In time, the teams that show progression will take the belts, and use whatever got them over to get the title over. Now that Jennifer Hudson's hubby and Will Ferrell are no longer the champions, Kingston/Bourne or Miz/Truth being the champions can properly segue into the emergence of the Kings of Wrestling. But I do think this could work out for a good 3 month period.

R-Truth and Miz just know how to piss off the crowd. It's so much fun. To combine that heat was a smart utilization of their talents. Looking forward to this.

I can't believe I didn't see this coming from them two. I've been thinking back to Truth talking to The Miz backstage about how they're both victims of conspiracies to keep them out of the title picture and the Miz didn't seem annoyed by him but actually considered what Truth was saying.
Tonight was definitely a step forward for the tag division, with Bourne and Kingston winning the belts and the alliance of Miz and R-Truth and I really can't wait to see how this all plays out. Hopefully they'll get a match at NoC, that would be alright. Plus I did kind of like the rap. You suck, you suck, you suck, you suck! Technically R-Truth didn't do that for the crowd which is what he promised but against them.

Loved the promo and putting them in this alliance is a good way to give them something to do but them going after the tag team titles may not be the best idea. Actual tag teams like the Usos and Kings of Wrestling (when they come in) need to be built up as challengers to to those titles, Miz and Truth dont need them.

Now i like the Miz and didnt really care for R-Truth much, but i think they are gonna make AWWWWWESOME team. Hopefully theyll be tag champs soon. BTW i actualli really liked the rap at the end and R-Truths new old theme song.

I am with the majority here. This segment was a fantastic piece of television, with both guys doing great work on the microphone. Finally the WWE seems to be putting more stock in R Truth's conspiracy theories, and giving Miz some kind of clear cut direction. I absolutely love Truth, so I'm all for putting him on my television. I am not a big fan of Miz's character, but he deserves much better than what has gone down since Wrestlemania. Promoting Subway on Raw seemed like punishment more then anything.

I have seen a lot of people mention that they should form a tag team and pursue the titles. There is absolutely no point in that line of thinking. I know there has been rumors of revitalizing the tag team division, but let's not get ahead of ourselves. Just because they moved the titles from one team of singles wrestlers forced together to another doesn't mean the tag titles are important again. The titles were taken off a team that had no heat, no direction, and no point continuing together without Nexus. It's more a case of WWE needing something to do with Kingston and Bourne, as clearly they have no other ideas right now.

Truth and Miz are being portrayed as a guys with a similar opinion on the current state of the WWE's hierarchy. Truth has had this viewpoint on the "conspiracy" for some time, and now it appears that Miz has bought in. This gives both the opportunity to attain a more permanent spot higher on the cards, as it's reasonable to assume they will be confronting HHH soon enough. This is essentially them attacking the status quo and their lack of opportunity. Both have proven themselves worthy of more than they've been given as of late. WWE seems to be giving them a chance to shine brighter. Given the talents of both men, I believe we have a lot more great television ahead.

Truth and Miz together are highly entertaining. They don't need to even be a tag team i'd love for them to start jumping all the babyfaces and ADR til they get title shots!!!!

I'd have them running amuck on Smackdown as well, as a sign of not listening to authority figures, bottom line these guys are very entertaining and are much better than ADR

While I would rather see Truth doing something more high profile, I think that from the glimpse of him and Miz together on Raw that they're really going to mix things up and bring some relevancy back to the Tag Team division. Too bad for Kingston and Bourne, it looks like maybe their reign will get cut short by The Awesome Truth

Didnt Triple H state he wants to revamp the Tag Division? With both out of the Title picture, then this is the perfect opportunity to put them in a title picture and build them back up.

I havent seen the promo, im in the UK but will youtube later. These are two of the best in the company on the stick IMO.

I enjoyed their segment tonight, I honestly did. It seemes like such a weird mix on the surface but I think it can play well. Truth can go from goofy to menacing in about half a second and all his talk about "conspiracies" plays well off of the ego-maniacal rants of Miz.

This could be an interesting team and a good step for the WWE in building their tag team picture. At the same time, however, this could be a disaster if the WWE does little more than turn these two into a comedic duo. I don't think that'll happen because Miz is still as over as he's been and Truth has never been more relevant at any point in his career than he has over the past 4 or 5 months.
