The Truth is AWESOME! (Miz/R-Truth)

My goodness this was hilarious and at the same time pretty interesting. I was wondering just what they had planned for Truth, and thought a comedy feud with Santino may have been on the cards, which would've been good for a laugh, but instead we've got the Conspiracy Theorist team here looking to take the spotlight. What comes next? Probably a reign with the Tag Team belts, and possibly one of them heading over to SmackDown. We could also see Miz turn face out of this, which could be interesting. Overall very intriguing stuff going on with this angle.

I for one absolutely loved the promo, and hope that this isnt just something for Miz to turn on Truth and turn face because I see real promise in their team.

And I totally agree that their name should be the awesome truth, it just fits so well.

You can argue that Truth isn't singing and dancing for them - he is singing and dancing while insulting them. I absolutely loved that along with their promo.

This program is one consequence of the Del Rio-Cena-Punk triangle; for a while, no one else is going to be involved in the title picture, so they've got to find things to do for some of the guys who've been fighting near the top of the card lately.

Based on their recent efforts, Miz and Truth would normally be creating havoc for the champion, but right now, that dance card is filled. Guys like these need something to do until the triangle plays out.....and so we have this unlikely tag team.

It's an unusual pairing because, normally, these two guys stand alone; it's a big part of their personae. Truth has had no allies since he turned heel because of the nature of his role; a loner, a psycho, a misfit. Miz has been by his lonesome since the split with Riley, but Alex could hardly be said to be Miz' partner; he was more like a servant, a valet, an enforcer.

Okay, so now Truth and Miz are together. It could be good; there is plenty of hell they can raise with their enemies, especially when they attack two-on-one. How their egos will mesh is the big question; it might be an unholy mess when two such overbearing personalities try to occupy the same space. Last night, it seemed to work pretty well, although Miz didn't seem to know what to do while Truth was rapping.

One thing seems certain: it ain't gonna last long. Once the Del Rio-Cena-Punk logjam is cleared at the top, Miz will go back to competing for the title. Truth, meanwhile, may not have the same success, but he'll still try to jimmy his way to the top.

The promo was quite interesting and the chemistry between Miz and R-Truth was good.

They would make a good tag-team and might help in its revival. But the problem is seeing a guy who headlined 'Mania involved in the tag scene would harm his credibility.

Well, shoot. I just logged in to make a thread about this. Well, no need to clog space, then. Firstly, and least importantly, I LOVED the theme at the end. I hate the no- music Truth's been using. When he wins a match, no music plays during the high lights. As long as there isn't any rapping in the new theme, I'm happy. I'd love them (production/music) to make it like Jeri-Show and 100% remix it. Have I came to play lyrics and a little of What's Up in there.

(:O! He broke up the paragraphs!) I have seen people already say that this will be a huge step backwards for both men; that they are just being thrown together. I 100% dis-agree. Better than not being on TV at all; better than being in the opening match; better than cutting a promo about Subway (though I thoroughly enjoyed it) Better than complaining about spiders and losing to John Morrison and the opening match at Summerslam. They are not randomly thrown together like Kofi and Bourne (which still has me reeling) Both men have a legitimate claim about a conspiracy in the WWE and against them. Both hate (storyline wise) Triple H being in charge. Winning the tag titles could be a step back for them ,and for Kofi and Bourne so soon after winning them.

(Another break!)
I don't know where they can or should go from here. I don't want to see my favorite heel beat up comedic/jobbers in general. Maybe they could be on both brands. I don't know. I am very interested to see where this goes.
PS- I loved the rap at the end. Much better than "What's Up" and "Time to get Crunk"

I love the team on Miz and Truth and hope they cause havoc with Cena, Punk, HHH, and the rest of the WWE

Them causing trouble together is what should be great and theres no way Koffi and Evan could possibly beat this team for the tag belts either

Truth and Miz aren't likely to get into the WWE title picture with ADR, Punk and Cena running around with their angle. So putting these two in a tag team keeps them relevant and still makes them a threat. Their promo was fantastic and I'm sure we'll get gold from them time and time again. They're not dropping down the card but now just causing havoc up and down it now. The Truth is AWESOME!!!

This was a great way to keep both of these guys relevant. They are both good on the mic and could work well together. Last night's promos were so of the best work ive seen from either of them. If they decide to make them a tag team, it may create a much needed buzz on the tag team titles.

I`m glad to see stars with nothing to do at the moment being repackaged to revive the tag division, but I don`t think these two will be tag champs anytime soon.

the titles can be dended on either brand but say they were to take them off bourne and kingston that would make three sets of raw uperstars to hold them in a row.

I don`t really think they need the titles. TBH I am kind of liking the idea of a stable forming with swagger and vickie. Now granted miz and truth have got enough charisma to not need vickie, but that could serve its own purpose to draw her back a little. And yes, the WWE title is preoccupied for the moment but it won`t last and this seems like the building of the next ME storyline on Raw.

I loved this segment last night. I think that they need to continue playing with these guys, and not just leave it at attacking Santino. I think they should start with lower talent. Beat on people like Santino, Ryder, ect. Than upgrade to midcard talent, Kingston, Bourne, Morrison. Than attack the Main Eventers and take their "rightful places" main eventing ppvs. Otherwise Truth will disappear.

The promo they cut last night was tremendous. One of the best I've seen in a while along with the work CM Punk has done. Both guys drew a ton of heat and the rap from R Truth at the end was a fantastic way to end it. As a tag team they have a lot of potential. Putting the belts on them keeps both guys relevant and elevates the tag titles a lot. If the WWE is truly going to try and reestablish the tag team division then this is the perfect way to do it. I really don't see any negatives with this situation.

I really like these two together. Despite having very different characters, their promo styles meshed quite well together on Raw. Miz does a good job of grounding Truth's over-the-top persona and making them feel believable together. Maybe these two could become part of this big supposed tag division revival we've been hearing about. With Kofi and Bourne building some chemistry together, the Uso's showing some potential as a great young team, and possibly some teams like the Kings of Wrestling and the Young Bucks being brought in, they could be moving in a worthwhile new direction. Normally a move to the tag ranks for these two would be a huge demotion, but if the WWE actually puts some effort into rebuilding it, they may be a part of something entertaining and new.

Truth is the most improved man in the company over the last year, nobody has developed, or moved their character more forward than he has. Alot of heels these days are generic, Truth is so different from what we usually see and it's refreshing, I hope it continues and I hope he and Miz beat down babyfaces every week

I think this angle will lead to a Miz face turn. If Triple H turns out to be heel in this storyline with Punk, Nash, etc. and Truth and Miz are out to end that conspiracy, then Miz is definitely going face.

They cut a pretty good promo and could possibly bring some interest back to the tag team division for sure. I mean it's obvious they'll win the belts, the question is when?

The best thing about Truths character is that while he is genuinely funny, he has that messed up look about him that isn't only intimidating, but he looks like he could turn at a moments notice and f shit up. Also since he turned heel his matches have been a lot better. Maybe its because he just isn't able to keep up as the fast pace'd babyface, but the slower, methodical style that busts out a few faster paced spots is a lot better fit imo.

Miz always cuts awesome promos. its just better when he's actually talking about something rather than just blowing hot air. I still think that if they're going to team up, they need a tag name and atleast colour coordinate their attires. Even if its for 2-3 months.

I hope this isn't gonna be anything like TNA's immortal storyline in the begining. Remember Sting was the heel but it turned out he was the face the whole time, he knew everything before everyone else did.

Believe me, I'm not one of those fans who say "oh this guy is the next (Insert name here) ". But doesn't this new formed tag team The Awesome Truth remind you of the 2006-2007 stable Rated RKO?

I mean the team has two over, talented and great heels just like Rated RKO.
The Miz and R-Truth aren't in the current title picture like Randy and Edge weren't in around October 2006 (after Edge lost to Cena). Miz and R-Truth are both bringing out the best in eachother just like Rated RKO did.

Rated RKO dominated the Tag Division and looked very relevant like Awesome Truth will hopefully. Being in a tag team gave two decent heels something to do and made them look relevant like Rated RKO hopefully the same will go for Awesome Truth.

For some reason Awesome Truth reminds me alot of Rated RKO. Hopefully Awesome Truth will have more success than Rated RKO did.

sick stuff, lets get a theme song mashup between to, people over there get awesome, if you feel me stand up and come to play WHATS UP YOU SUCK YOU SUCK YOU SUCK THATS WHATS UP, throw kevin nash as the manager, have him like the one time in tna when he was against samoa joe/with him and screwed joe out of a title match, joe comes out and says "i was screwed last night" and nash was like "ya he was screwed last night". but in this its the conspiracy, i really really want to see an in ring segment that includes the miz r truth and kevin nash weather it be a questionable alliance or nash just trash talking to the two and the two obnoxiously insulting him back

I don't know if they can dominate(abruptly) like the Rated RKO did, but they were really funny together. I LOL'd the whole time they were speaking last monday night:lmao:

If you currently go to wwe.com, they have an article up about Miz and R-Truth and how they are joining forces because of the conspiracy theory and the website then goes on to wonder if any other "conspiracy afflicted" superstars will go and join their cause. Well, I think this could be the absolute perfect time to take Cole out from behind the announcers table and make him a manager and it can be simply done. Basically just have King and JR dominate the broadcast this coming Monday, not letting Cole get much word in at all and whenever he does talk, have him get interrupted by some joke by King or what have you. Then, later in the show, have Miz and R-Truth have a tag match against like a Santino and Morrison and have Miz and Truth go over and then decimate them after the match. Then they get on the mic and say this is just the beginning and we won't be kept down and that if they're is anyone else who feels as if you're being held down, join the movement. Cole gets up and grabs a mic, stating that this was his show and that he has toed the company line since JR has come back and has tried to be a good soldier but he can't do it anymore. He says nothing has been the same since HHH came back and he believes he's being held as part as a conspiracy as well and he won't deal with it anymore. He then goes on to slap JR across the face and say into the mic, I quit. He goes into the ring, stands in between Miz and Truth and holds their hands up and is now out from behind the booth and transitions perfectly into a manager. Thoughts?

That would be a move that makes sense...also, I would even add another member or two to the group. I hope they just have them and have them be a tag team because, I feel that it his a HUGE step for Miz to be teaming with Truth now that Miz is a main eventer, that is apparently set on Vince's side backstage.

I just think that, being in a tag team would going backwards for Miz, even if Truth is getting a lot of heat, Miz should just be a singles guy.

I like the idea of bringing back Managers...it's a lost art. I think Cole would be perfect as a manager and instead of managing the tag team of Miz/Truth, they could create a stable like the Heenan Family. You could even call it the Cole Mine.

Once again the old school in me is speaking. This is something I would love to see.

Managers are mouth pieces, punch yourself in the penis, stop making horrible suggestions.

Miz and Truth don't need a mouthpiece, they have enough promo skills on their own, Cole would only get in the way.

I loved their promo on Monday, I'm a big fan of both men and they really proved how good on the mic they both were. They also had great chemistry and they looked good together, the only thing I didn't like was the rapping as I hate rapping in general. But the manager idea is pointless as both men are too good on the mic and are too over to have a manager. Also there is many other guys on the roster who need a manager and giving these guys a manager would take away that manager from a guy who needs a manager.

I like R-Truth but don't care for Miz, so anything that keeps Mike out of the wwe title picture for a long while sounds good to me. If you ask me its sounds stupid, they really dont mesh at all. They have two very different styles and Miz's character dosent represent someone who would take a back seat to another star, or work alongside one when nothing of it really benefits him.
