YOU WILL RESPECT MY AUTHORITAH!!!!
So Impact showed Mike Tenay's sitdown interview with Dixie Carter and they touched on a few things that've been discussed by many of us in various posts.

The issue with Sting was brought up and, based upon what Dixie Carter said, it sounds as if Sting wants little to do with TNA while Hulk Hogan is on board.

They briefly touched on the issue with Jeff Jarrett and, of course, Carter basically side-stepped the question altogether. Jarrett is involved with Kurt Angle's ex-wife, Angle bitched, and Jarrett is practically a ghost in TNA.

As for Hogan's role, it sounds to me like that Dixie Carter has all but said that Hulk Hogan is going to be running TNA with her. Some of the things she said I thought were true, like Hogan's name being well known and all that, but the best wrestling mind? Yeah, that's a line of bullshit right there and a blatant one at that.

so im watching tna right now and the whole show they made a big deal about some interview with dixie carter. just like they did with her and bobby lashleys interview and her "speech" to the tna roster. and i thought well maybe this will actually accomplish something. they said that she was going to explain hulks role in tna and if sting and jerrett are coming back.

well they just showed the interview and it told us ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. she didnt give an update on sting, she just said she was giving him his space and didnt say if he was coming back. she didnt give an update on jarrett, she just said he was given a leave of absence and didnt say if he was coming back. she didnt give an update on when Hulk is coming and what kind of role he will be playing. she just said they will be working together and "reviewing every piece of tna".

so basically didnt tell me anything i didnt already know and just got dixie fucking carter some pointless air time. so what do you make of this crap??

dam beat me to it Jack-hammer. lol.

well like i said i found it pontless and frankly it pissed me off

thats is why it was better when we had double j working we all know hogan is in it for himself just like nash and i also think that hogan is going to suck the life out tna just like he did wcw and also if dixie wants tna to be number 1 then she better not let hogan have creative control or TNA Wrestling will all be eating some "hogan bury crunch" and i get so pissed cause if i recall ...the guy who sounds like darth vader said "TNA the future of professional wrestling" so why is she building around wrestling's past i truly think that Tna has enough "wwe scraps" that is only there to collect a paycheck i mean hogan is only coming because hogan knows best was cancelled and he just ggot divorced and if hogan really knows best then he would know that he should stop just stop because he is finished and the young guys better follow samoa joe and not be blinded by the "hogan power" and prove that they belong by busting their chops every night.

I like the interview, but I couldn't stay interested. There's nothing they can do to make me a believer in Hogan showing up, but at least they tried.

Dixie is easy enough on the eyes, and Tenay isn't a horrible interviewer, so I don't see the issues with them doing segments like these, even if they're not extremely informative...

while i agree on the sting, jarrett, and hogan aspect as being a nothing to inform the general public....i.e their fanbase, i can only hope the "review" will include a makeover of the impact zone and a move to better venues instead of constantly being in the IMPACT Zone....the look and feel and just overall aura(sp?) remind you of a Thunder broadcast....as far as hogan????...yeah i was a kid once and said my prayers and ate my vitamins but that was a long time ago and a much younger hogan.....hopefully...HOPEFULLY he will not climb back in the ring....his matches in WcW were mediocre at best..his promos are always the same......and as the old addage goes "the more things change, the more they stay the same"....only time will tell

theyre tryin to keep us interested until hogan debuts, but what theyre really doing is making aj/daniels seem like a midcard feud, angle and wolfe seem to get more time then aj/daniels, they get as much time as hamada vs sarita. hogan is the main topic, which is what hogan wants but theyre pushing theyre poster child to the backburner it seems like, dixies interviews are just to hype hogan and we already know hes coming so its kind of pointless

i feel that based on kevin nash and mick foleys in ring segment, That somehow Hogan/Nash and whoever else (you know scott halls phone probably rang_) is going to form a group to takeover TNA and foley, jarrett and who cares (sting?) will try and stop them and if going down that road again they will be dead before they know it ,

I think Dixie was trying to say that String WAS interested in working with Hogan and the opportunity for big pay days that that brought along.

Also, I'm a big fan of Tenay. He really seems to know his stuff and he's an underappreciated "veteran" of the sport. If he'd spent his years with WWE, he'd be legendary. Very under-rated wrestling mind.

That being said, he cracks me up. His facial expressions when he asks questions are hilarious. He looks like he's asking the deepest, most important questions in the world. He has a shit-eating grin that makes him come off as if he's proud of himself for having come up with each one of them. It's hilarious. This is fake wrestling, not a post-911 debriefing.

the guy who sounds like darth vader

What....? Who was that? I have no idea who you are talking about....
:lmao:

Anyways. I think the interview was a little boring, and maybe Dixie's answers could have been a little better.... but it was still a good interview because the questions being asked were relevant and the fans want to know about this stuff. It could honestly have been a lot worse, it could have gone on even longer, plus they could have mentioned Dixie's Twitter another 800 times. Does anyone even care about that? So, yeah. The interview was alright, it could have been better, but it could have been a lot worse too. If they do another, maybe Dixie will have better answers for us.

The interview really told us nothing that we didn't already know. It was well put together except for the actual new information part. I think they will work Sting in eventually down the road. I don't think we will hear anything new on Hogan until January. It seems that Jarrett might come off as a heel not wanting anything to do with the company. We will have to see.

Again, I don't think we will hear anything new regarding Hogan until he actually shows up next month.

I do agree that the Tenay/Carter interview didn't shed a whole lot of light, but even out of nothing, it did get me to speculating. First, it looks like that Hogan/Jarrett or Hogan/Foley is going to happen one way or the other or Foley and Jarrett will team up against Hogan and whoever he brings in. By the way, who is Nash referring to? Bischoff will be around but will he be on TV? Also, Nash said the band may get back together and that leads me to a possible hostile takeover/NWO-type deal.

OK, back to the interview. Remember when Carter said that Hogan would be basically her right-hand man to help her do a bunch of different things? Isn't that what Jarrett did? It makes me wonder if Hogan either literally or kayfabe bought out Jarrett's share of the company. Just a thought.

I hope they throw a major twist on the band getting back together, because they know it won't work, besides doesn't WWE own the nWo name now? And don't think whatever happens is Hogan's doing alone, he can't do anything unless Dixie allows it, and then there is Bishoff, who also will have major input, because he actually beat Vince, and knows what mistakes WCW made and more than likely won't repeat them, and Dixie will listen to him just as much as Hogan. Hogan and Bishoff worked closely with Vince to know what the strengths and weaknesses of WWE are and hopefully will run with it. And at the least, hopefully when all is said and done, both TNA and WWE will become better products due to another war. Just hopefully neither bankrupts the other trying to outdo themselves. I would not be happy with only one choice to watch, no matter what the choice is. WWE is trying to make different choices with RAW, Smackdown and ECW, but in the end it is all the same.
