Yes, my guess is a content filter or firewall which is keeping you from going out to YouTube. Out of curiosity, is the IP address on your machine the same as the IP address which is facing the Internet? In other words, if you go to a command prompt, and type in "ipconfig", is the IP address the same as if you go to http://ipchicken.com?

They're not the same.

Uhh...exactly how big is this place that you work at? Because it looks like you're machine is connected to a Linksys router or switch, and the fact you have IP address 192.168.1.101 makes me think you're on a very small network. Is YouTube the only site no one can get to?

Can you even ping these IP addresses (by going into command prompt and typing "ping 74.125.225.46"?

74.125.225.32
74.125.225.33
74.125.225.38
74.125.225.41
74.125.225.46

Hey, I was informed I should post this here. Thanks.

I have a mac with mac os x. The version is 10.7.1 and for the past few yahoo fantasy drafts I have tried to enter I have had the same problem. The window pops up and the loading bar begins. The bar goes 90% of the way but never finishes. Any idea how to resolve?

Hey Sly,

Thank you for all the help. Appreciate it. Got it fixed. Was a router filter.

Have you tried a different web browser?

I've also restarted my computer and re downloaded java. I dont know what else to do.

Dump the Mac OS, and install something worth using?

In all seriousness, I don't ever do fantasy drafts, so I'm not sure what would be causing your problem. Can you replicate the problem on a Windows machine?

My PS3 won't play any games, movies, or other discs. My PS3 is only a year and a few months old, and all of this started after I tried to play a burned DVD disc on the console. Could this be the problem?

I wouldn't think so. As far as what could be the problem, I have no idea. You didn't interrupt a software upgrade did you?

My computer froze and I had to turn it off the hard way, and now Windows doesn't boot anymore when I turn it on. I tried Startup Repair and System Restore, but it still didn't boot. It is currently attempting to repair disk errors, but I know it's going to be stuck like that all day and accomplish nothing, so I'll have to turn it off again and make things worse. At this point I take it back to the store I bought it from and have them "repair" it, which is only clearing everything off of it and have it restored back to the condition I first bought it in. Is there any way to repair it without losing all my stuff? If not, how can I avoid the middleman and "reset" it myself?

Startup Repair didn't freeze like I expected and indicated "System volume on disk is corrupt". It did some sort of repair and had to restart. I then tried using Safe Mode but it froze while "Loading Windows Files". Now it's taking forever on a screen with a bar loading right above Microsoft Corporation.

Edit: Now it is at Startup Repair for a third time.

No. I don't remember seeing any messages about a software upgrade.

I think I've tried everything I can. Do you have any other suggestions, or should I just think about buying a new PS3?

Trying to play a burned DVD disc probably isn't the cause as I've used many burned disc in my PS3. It was a movie you were trying to watch correct?

What model of PS3 do you have?

No. I don't remember seeing any messages about a software upgrade.

What exactly is your PS3 doing? I'm assuming its turning on properly but it's just not reading any discs, correct?

What happens when you try to boot Windows normally? You said it wouldn't boot, but do you get any error messages?

And yes, there are ways to restore the machine yourself, probably in the system recovery menu you used to get Startup Repair.

No. I don't remember seeing any messages about a software upgrade.

I wouldn't buy a new PS3, if you've only had it a year. I'd call Sony and have them fix it. Just don't mention anything about a burned disc (which had nothing to do with it not working, but you don't want to give them any reason to deny repairing it).

Yeah, it was a movie.

What model of PS3 do you have?

Eh, not really sure. It's not the old tower style, though. It's one of the newer models. It might be the 160GB, but I'm not entirely sure.

It keeps making this loud clicking noise (this is the best way I can describe it), but whichever disc I put in won't play. It just sits on the loading screen, and nothing happens.

No error messages, it just loads and loads until it restarts itself.

Sounds like you have some corrupted system files, which are preventing Windows from loading. Without a Windows disc, it's not possible to fix, and even with a disc, it may not be possible to fix without restoring the computer.

Did you get a recovery disc when you first bought the machine?

I have a VAIO Recovery Media Kit that contains several recovery discs.

Then that is what you should be able to use to put your computer back at factory settings.

Do you have a lot of files you need to get off there first? If so, do you have access to another machine with an Internet connection?

Not a lot, and yes.

Well, if you DO have stuff you want to get off, you'll need to download Knoppix and burn it to a CD as an image file (easier than it sounds). If you don't care about the files you have on there, then you can just restore the system by inserting a CD into your tray, and making sure your CD/DVD Rom is set to be the first boot device.
