I don't agree with Sid very much, if at all. Looking through alot of my posts, I'm going to say probably less than one time prior to now.
I do have to agree with him in this instance. The TNA is giving people more to talk about and more to get interested in. But, for all intents and purposes, with the signing of Hogan/Bischoff they're a brand new promotion. They've "rebooted" the brand and are in the process of shoring up all their leaky problems in an effort to attempt challenging WWE for superior brand.
But, that doesn't mean that more people are interested in TNA than they are WWE. Just that TNA has so much housecleaning and remodeling to do, there's naturally going to be alot to talk about from a fan or smark's perspective.
I look at it this way. WWE is the huge, well-known franchise and TNA is the mom & pop soda shop just now trying to branch out of their hometown.
Naturally, when a new restaurant comes to town you've never heard of before, you're going to talk it up a bit, especially if you've seen things they're doing that you aren't used to seeing. But there sits good ol' reliable McWWE...you know them, they don't change often or much, but when they do, they've taken the time to research the changes and take precautions to insure they're not just wasting their time and money.
That's the luxury of being #1, you don't have to shake things up all the time to be noticed. Everyone knows you and when you DO make a change, it's noticed and judged on it's own merits.
Even though ANY publicity is considered GOOD publicity, it doesn't mean you're doing things right, just means you're doing things. We'll see in a few months how exciting TNA has become and how many fans it attracts.
