The Pointless Thread

When Carson Palmer wins a playoff game I'll be able to rate him highly but until then.

Fuck's sake Brian. You CANNOT judge a goddamn QB over another QB on a certain group of games. It just doesn't work that way, you base who's better than who on talent and OVERALL PLAY.

I would take Ben over Palmer though, just thought I'd throw that out there.

you kind of missed hte point there, he had a chance to win the game and i believe he over or under shot one of his receivers that led to an Interception.

You mean when Carson Palmer severly leans on a superior offensive line, two great running backs, and one of the best defensive lines in the NFL to win a playoff game, then u can rate him well?

Palmer has had a decent offensive line. He has 3 good receivers, and still isnt capable of winning.

Also on the running game, Ruddi Johnson has been a solid runningback since 2003, minus his 07 campaign.

Greatness is made on losses? People usually dont know who finished second, outside of their own fans.

Its still one play, so the game was on the line, it was one play. Two years ago in the playoffs, Tom Brady threw an interception against the Colts when they were driving down the field at the end of the game in the playoffs. The game was on the line, in the playoffs and he threw and interception, is Big Ben better that Brady? NO, that shows that you cant use one play as an example, no matter what the scenario.

IF CARSON PALMER PLAYED ON A TEAM LIKE THE STEELERS, WITH THAT D-FENSE, HE WOULD HAVE WON A PLAYOFF GAME BY NOW! You cant blame him for being on a team with one of the worst Defenses in the NFL, not his fault. Big Ben would not lead the Bengles to a playoff victory, sorry. So that is not a valid argument either.

Lets just stop this nonsense, end the argument, there is not much of a differnce between the two guys.

You are overlooking the fact that the Bengles have had one of the worst defenses in the league since Palmer has gotten there, there is nothing he can do about that!

I've ended it along time ago. You people just keep ignoring it.

"decent"...yea ok. Rudi Johnson as good as Bettis and Fast Willie??? I hardly think so. add that to the fact that their defense cant stop a 8th grade girls team, and for their most successfull years (his first two) Roethlisberger averaged about 14 throws a game.

Well I am trying to end this discussion, they just wont listen! At least you agreed to disagree, Brian wont even agree to that. What can I do?

Doesn't matter. Again your ignoring the goddamned point Brian. You cannot select two games out of the playoffs and use them as criteria for you to claim they suck. Espeicially when the same QB has played back to back pro bowl seasons and there is a full 16 games before that.

Johnson rushed for 1000 yds a couple seasons, and nearly 1000 yds in another and i believe that was on lesser carries because he wasn't their runningback in the beginning

alright

2004

Ben average a little over 21 passes per game

2005

Ben averaged 22 passes per game

2006

31 passes per game

2007

26 almost 27 passes per game.

So how bout them NHL playoffs, Rangers and Penguins look strong. Flames looking to steal one on the road right now, but most importantly the Av's are going to OT by the looks of it, GO AV'S!

Ben and the Steelers have made the playoffs, Carson cant even say that, and since Bens been a starting Qb, he's had more wins, so here goes the season before the playoffs.

Jesus H Christ Brian, I've already agreed that I believe Ben is better than Carson, I was stating that for Romo.

Although I do believe with more of a better cast around him, he'll excel more than Ben.

Okay last comment, Palmer has made the Playoffs, remember he tore his ACL because of a shot to the knee, by your Steelers.
